Abstract

Abstract: Communication happens if only all participants understand and obey the cooperative principle in conversation. In facts, these principles are flouted for certain reason. The cooperative principle is consist of four maxims, those are quantity maxim, quality maxim, relevance maxim, and manner maxim. This research aims at finding out the type of flouting of quantity maxim in Detective Conan comic which volume  from 65 to 67 by Aoyama Gosho. Furthermore, this research tries to find the influence of flouting for success communication. The theory used in this study is the cooperative principle that introduced by Grice (1975). The research design applied in this study is a desrciptive qualitative research method  since the data are words and utterances instead. The data are 8 conversational fragments in Detetective Conan comic which flouting of quantity maxim. Based on Grice theory and also understanding on Leech’s explains about the flouting of maxim (1983), and finding the results are as follow: (1) has found 3 datas of flouting which strong-weak proposition, 2 datas which contain yes-no questions, 1 data which retisence, and 2 datas that utterances are more informative than is required (2) the flouting influence is not always cause the communication breakdown. In other words, in some cases, the  communication purpose become achievement even though maxims are flouted. Key Words: the flouting of quantity maxim, cooperative principle

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether the game ス リ ー ヒ ン ト ゲ ー ム can improve learning outcomes Japanese vocabulary of the Japanese language student level I FKIP University of Riau. In this study the authors used Desain experimental study design with test I and test II. The object of this study is a Japanese student level I FKIP Riau University consisting of 14 samples of the study. Data collection techniques done by providing tests and interviews. Tests were carried out which tests I and II tests to determine the results of student learning Japanese vocabulary when action I (memorizing) and Action II (gameス リ ー ヒ ン ト ゲ ー ム). Results of the test of action I and II test results action is processed using statistical test t-test using SPSS to determine how much significance level student learning outcomes when using the game ス リ ー ヒ ン ト ゲ ー ム.Based on statistical data processing with SPSS, showed a significance of 0.001. This means that the figure of significance obtained is less than 0.05 (0.001 <0.05), the Ha accepted and H0 is rejected, there is a significant difference to the effectiveness of the game ス リ ー ヒ ン ト ゲ ー ム on learning the vocabulary of Japanese student level I Prodi Language Education Japan FKIP UR.Keywords: game ス リ ー ヒ ン ト ゲ ー ム, learning vocabulary

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to know how good is the comprehension of second semester students of Japanese Language Study Program FKIP University of Riau in using Ndesu expression. In this research, the writer use descriptive method with quantitative approach. Object of this research is second semester students of academic year 2014/2015 Japanese Education Study Program FKIP University of Riau that consists of 39 students, but only 22 students are ready to join in collecting the data. The writer use questionnaire and test as the data collecting technique in this research. Questionnaire given to the students contains students’ prior knowledge about ndesu expression, and test that given to the students contains questions about ndesu expression. The result of the questionnaire and the test are manually calculated to know the result of the questionnaire and the test.The result of this research is respondents understand with the function of ndesu expression in asking the reason and mentioning the reason, and respondents not understand with the function of the ndesu expression in asking the explanation and (先触れ。前置き)sakibure maeoki.Keywords : Modality, Setsumei, Ndesu or Noda, Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract : This research is about the development of power point as supporting teaching media of Japanese subject in SMAN 1 Minas, kabupaten Siak. This research aims to know whether power point as supporting teaching media of Japanese subject  in SMAN 1 Minas, kabupaten Siak is appropriate with standard of experts or validator, so it is suitably used in the real learning process. This research uses SCL theory and research and development method. This research uses questioner as data accumulation technique. The result of this research is power point supporting teaching media.
