Abstract

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is characterized by a pattern of diminished sustained attention (inattention), hyperactivity and higher levels of impulsivity in a child or adolescent than expected for someone of that age and developmental level. A child with ADHD usually gets a difficulty in learning process that cause the decreasing of achievement at school. The objective of this study was to know the correlation between ADHD with the achievement among students of SDN 2 and SDN 3 Berkoh Purwokerto. The method of this study was analytic observational with cross-sectional design studies and sampling techniques were purposive sampling and simple random sampling in 43 students; 19 students that had high risk of ADHD and 24 students without ADHD. Univariate analysis used table of frequency and bivariate analysis used chi square. Proportion of ADHD was 44,2%. There was a correlation between ADHD with the achievement (p=0,004; r=0,450). This result showed that there was a statistically significant correlation between ADHD with the achievement among students of SDN 2 and SDN 3 Berkoh Purwokerto

Abstract

Vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (VRSA) was first discovered in 2002 by a clinician inthe USA. Vancomycin resistance mediated by the van gene which will result in a change in the terminalS.aureus cell wall. Data on epidemiology of VRSA from RSUD Margono Soekarjo (RSMS), Purwokertogenerally were not available. The purpose of the study was identify VRSA on stethoscopes membrane inRSUD Margono Soekarjo (RSMS), Purwokerto. A Laboratory observational study with cross sectionaldesign was conducted to 69 stethoscopes membrane in RSUD Margono Soekarjo (RSMS), Purwokerto.Isolates were taken from stethoscopes membrane for Vancomycin discs testing to detect VRSA. The resultshowed that 10 of 64 isolates with S.aureus positive (15,6%) found on stethoscopes membrane were VRSA.In conclusion, VRSA was found on stethoscopes membrane in RSUD Margono Soekarjo (RSMS),Purwokerto.

Abstract

Presbycusis is a progressive sensorineural hearing loss commonly affecting the elderly and significantly reducing quality of life. RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, as a referral hospital, treats a large number of elderly patients, making characterization of presbycusis patients essential. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of presbycusis patients based on age, sex, occupation, comorbidities, and degree of hearing loss. A descriptive quantitative study with a retrospective approach was conducted using total sampling of presbycusis patients at the ENT outpatient clinic from 2022 to 2024. A total of 81 patients met the inclusion criteria. Most patients were male and aged 61–74 years. The most common occupation was farmer, and hypertension was the most frequent comorbidity. Hearing loss was generally bilateral with moderate to moderately severe degree.
