Abstract

This research aims to find strategies and models for financing the agricultural sector. This research is a type of qualitative research using SPACE (Strategic Position and Action Evaluation) matrix analysis. The results of the SPACE Matrix analysis concluded that Islamic financial institutions must carry out an aggressive strategy in providing financing for the agricultural sector. Aggressive profile describes a company that is financially strong and has a competitive advantage in a growing and stable industry. The solution offered is Islamic banking must increase financing in the agricultural sector, through the channeling model (linkage program) with Islamic microfinance institutions, for example BMT. The alignment of Islamic banks to the agricultural sector (real sector) can be realized by providing agricultural insurance against various risks faced by farmers.

Abstract

AbstractEfficiency can be defined as the ratio between output and input. A company is said to be efficient if it can produce greater output when compared to other companies that use the same amount of input. Or produce the same amount of output, but the number of inputs used is less compared to other company inputs. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of Zakat Management Organizations (ZMO) in Indonesia and to find sources of inefficiency of Zakat Management Organizations (ZMO). The method used is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) using software called Banxia Frontier Analyst (BFA). The analysis concluded that based on CRS assumptions, there were 7 DMUs that had achieved efficiency with a score of 100%. The seven DMUs are BAZNAS 2018, PKPU 2015, PKPU 2016, Rumah Zakat 2016, Rumah Zakat 2017, Rumah Zakat 2018 and Yatim Mandiri 2016. Meanwhile, with the assumption of VRS, there are 9 efficient DMUs namely BAZNAS 2015, BAZNAS 2018, PKPU 2015, PKPU 2015 2016, Rumah Zakat 2015, Rumah Zakat 2016, Rumah Zakat 2017, Rumah Zakat 2018, and Yatim Mandiri 2016. Sources of inefficiency in the Organization of Zakat Management (ZMO) are inputs or costs, including personnel costs, socialization costs, and other operational costs. This has implications for the organization's ability to optimally combine existing resources to achieve maximum output.  Abstrak Efisiensi dapat didefinisikan sebagai perbandingan antara output dan input. Suatu Perusahaan dikatakan efisien jika dapat menghasilkan output yang lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan perusahaan lain yang menggunakan jumlah input yang sama. Atau menghasilkan jumlah output yang sama, tetapi jumlah input yang digunakan lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan input perusahaan lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat efisiensi Organisasi Pengelola Zakat (OPZ) di Indonesia dan untuk menemukan sumber inefisiensi Organisasi Pengelola Zakat (OPZ). Metode yang digunakan adalah Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) dengan memakai sofware bernama Banxia Frontier Analyst (BFA). Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan asumsi CRS, terdapat 7 DMU yang sudah mencapai efisiensi dengan skor 100%. Ketujuh DMU tersebut adalah BAZNAS 2018, PKPU 2015, PKPU 2016, Rumah Zakat 2016, Rumah Zakat 2017, Rumah Zakat 2018 dan Yatim Mandiri 2016. Sedangkan dengan asumsi VRS, terdapat 9 DMU yang efisien yaitu BAZNAS 2015, BAZNAS 2018, PKPU 2015, PKPU 2016, Rumah Zakat 2015, Rumah Zakat 2016, Rumah Zakat 2017, Rumah Zakat 2018, dan Yatim Mandiri 2016. Sumber penyebab inefisiensi Organisasi Pengelola Zakat (OPZ) adalah input atau biaya-biaya, meliputi biaya personalia, biaya sosialisasi, dan biaya operasional lainnya. Hal ini berimplikasi pada kemampuan organisasi dalam mengkombinasikan sumber daya yang ada secara optimal untuk mencapai output secara maksimal.

Abstract

Introduction to The Problem: Been established for 282 years (2019), Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri was one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. With its approximately 11,000 students, the institution was potentially economic to develop. The development effort was started in 1961 by establishing Koperasi Pondok Pesantren which focused on how to fulfill its students’ needs. Kopontren Sidogiri was currently the main actor in a minimarket business competition in East Java. With its trading activities earning IDR 1 trillion per year, Kopontren Sidogiri could give a welfare impact to the community and Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri.Purpose/Objective Study: The research aims to examine Kopontren Sidogiri’s operational description and marketing-mix implementation in retail business in the 4.0 era.Design/Methodology/Approach: The research was conducted using a qualitative method. According to the theme of the discussion, this research was field research. The research was a descriptive case study performed at Koperasi Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling technique. The research sample consisted of a steering committee, managers, staff, and experts. The secondary data were collected from several findings relevant to this study. Data validity was tested using a triangulation technique.Findings: Strategies implemented included marketing mix (4Ps) i.e. product, place, price, and promotion. The achievement gave an inclusive and modern image to Koperasi Pesantren. Meanwhile, place strengthening was by building Toko Basmalah in the areas where alumni of Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri lived, creating loyal market targets. Moreover, price strengthening was by using a retail price in a product sale, encouraging the sale, and making effective profits. The promotion was by branding Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri, creating customers’ trust, and spreading positive information about Minimarket Basmallah to people (word of mouth).

Abstract

Zoya is one of the Muslim clothing companies with halal certification from the authorized institution, MUI (The Council of Indonesian Ulama). This study aimed to determine the effect of halal certification, brand image, and celebrity endorser on Zoya hijab purchasing decisions. This study used incidental sampling technique conducted in the city of Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique used Partial Least Square (PLS), which consists of outer model and inner model tests. The outer model test is divided into two tests: the validity test and reliability test and the inner model test consists of two kinds of tests, namely the R test and the Gof test. The results of the analysis of this study revealed that the variables of halal certification (X1), brand image (X2) and celebrity endorser (X3) have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (Y) of Zoya hijab in Yogyakarta. The results of the R Square test obtained a value of 73%. This means that halal certification, brand image, and celebrity endorser have a strong contribution to the consumers' purchasing decision on Zoya hijab. Halal certification provides an assurance and a guarantee for the quality of a product. This is because the halal label on a product means that the product has been rated thayyib(wholesome).

Abstract

Muntilan yang terletak di kaki Gunung Merapi memiliki kondisi tanah yang subur sehingga sebagian besar pencaharian penduduknya adalah petani dan peternak. Ketersediaan air yang bagus dan pakan ternak yang melimpah menjadi faktor pendukung mata pencaharian peternak rumahan bebek. Bebek dipilih karena memilki produktfitas lebih lama dibandingkan unggas lain. Akan tetapi, ada masalah yang dihadapi peternak, yaitu masih kecilnya skala produksi yang dihasilkan dari usaha ternak. Di samping itu, risiko kesehatan dan kematian ternak yang tinggi, jumlah hasil produksi telur pada skala maksimal 70%, padahal permintaan pasar telur bebek tinggi. Selain itu, ada masa tidak produktif dari hewan ternak selama 1 bulan yang mengakibatkan pendapatan peternak tidak stabil. Metode penyelesaian masalah melalui Program PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) dengan cara penambahan sarana produksi dan meningkatkan nilai jual telur bebek, yaitu telur asin bakar. Nilai jual telur asin bakar 2 kali lipat dibandingkan nilai jual telur mentah. Pelatihan dan pendampingan proses pembuatan telur asin bakar dilaksanakan untuk mitra serta dilengkapi dengan pelatihan teknik packaging dan pembubuhan merek. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah bertambahnya kuantitas hewan ternak dan hasil telur ternak. Selain itu, ada peningkatan nilai (value added) dari hasil telur yang diproduksi menjadi telur asin aneka rasa. Pendapatan harian peternak bisa meningkat 20–40 ribu per harinya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the financial performance of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia through the islamicity performance index approach for the period 2013-2017, by the principles of justice, halalness, and purification. This study using quantitative descriptive research. The number of banks sampled are five Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia that have been selected, through a purposive sampling technique first. These banks are BRI Syariah, BNI Syariah, Mandiri Syariah, BCA Syariah, and Victoria Syariah. The type of data used is secondary data taken from the financial statements of each islamic commercial bank that is sampled. Through the islamicity performance index approach, the results of this study indicate that the financial performance of islamic commercial bank is unsatisfactory, based on the average of the variables that have been processed in accordance with predicate valuation standards.

Abstract

The paper analyzes the role of Islamic banking for economic growth in Indonesia. The rapid development of Islamic banking in the country followed the economic growth was the research basis of the paper. The analysis in this paper uses Ordinary Least Square method to determine how much Islamic banking influenced the growth represented by Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The result of regression model testing found that the total assets of Islamic banking had no significant effect (negative) on GDP, while the Islamic banking financing process had significant process had significant effect (positive) on GDP. Variable total assets and total financing of Islamic banking are able to explain the effect 33.8% of GDP variable. This means that Islamic banking has a very small role related to economic growth in Indonesia. The research indicates that the solution for increasing for the influence of Islamic banking could include increasing market share and increasing the share of muḍârabah financing schemes, strengthening regulation, improving the quality and quantity of human resources, and adapting technological advances.

Abstract

Paper ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi penguatan BMT melalui segmentasi pasar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pedagang di pasar tradisional yang berada di wilayah karisidenan Surakarta. Menggunakan dasar teori marketingmix untuk jasa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling. Jumlah responden 60 pedagang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis cluster. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan diolah menggunakan SPSS 23. Hasil olah data menemukan 3 segmen/cluster, di mana masing-masing segmen memiliki faktor pertimbangan berbeda dalam memutuskan untuk mengajukan pembiayaan di BMT. Strategi utama yang harus dilakukan BMT adalah meningkatkan literasi keuangan syariah bagi pedagang di pasar tradisional dan membuat inovasi produk pembiayaan yang sesuai dengan kondisi pedagang yang unbankable.

Abstract

Panjangrejo is one of the Tourism Villages located in the east of Bantul Regency. Geographically, the location of this Tourism Village is very strategic because this Pottery Tourism Village is on one of the Parangtritis beach tourist routes, which is very crowded by tourists. Due to a lack of attention and support from the village government, the pottery craft of the Panjamgrejo tourism village is not as popular as the Kasongan village. The main problems faced by craftsmen include the stiff competition between pottery artisans, the lack of demand from outside the region due to limitations in marketing digital products (digital marketing), and the fulfillment of safe and attractive packaging. The method used in this service is the method of training and substitution of science and technology. The solution of product packaging that is still simple is overcome by procuring durable and attractive packaging boxes to increase product sales power and minimize product breakage. Also, the promotion of products that have not been run optimally is overcome by digital marketing training both through social media Instagram to Facebook ads with better internet signal support due to the availability of modems to facilitate online product marketing.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the strategy which is conducted by BPRS Madina Mandiri Sejahtera for improving sharia financial literacy on the society, to analyse implementation of SEOJK Number 1/SEOJK.07/2014 regarding the education and improving financial literacy to the society, and to know the level of literacy on the society who had received the educational literacy program from BPRS Madina Mandiri Sejahtera. The research uses qualitative and quantitative method (mixed-method). Using of questionnaires distributed to 51 respondents. The results show that the strategy which is used BPRS Madina Mandiri Sejahtera for improving sharia financial literacy on the community is managed with through several programs such as educate and introduce product to the public using the social media, and to educate people who come to the office directly. The implementation of educational program which is conducted by BPRS Madina Mandiri Sejahtera enormously accord with the regulation SEOJK Number 1/SE.OJK.07/2014 with inclusive, systematic, measurable, accessibility, and collaboration principles. The leveling of Islamic financial literacy for the people who had obtained an educational program of literacy by BPRS Madani Mandiri Sejahtera has counted to 82.42 percent, it is the high category level.Keywords: Islamic financial literacy, BPRS, Society.
