Abstract

Islam is a religion which has comprehensive teachings, including how a Moslem works in libraries. The final goal of works is the same, which is to give the best service to their costumers. To give the best service, librarian should master some competencies. US Special Library Associations has formulated ten individual competencies for librarian. Having analyzed the holy quran, hadits, sahabat and Islamic scholar, it is found that Islam has appropriate teachings to fulfill or to compare with those individual competencies. So that, a good and smart Moslem should be a professional and skillful librarian.

Abstract

The existence of Google as a popular search engines has significant effect on the view of some people about the function of library. They assume that a library function has been shifted by the presence of google. This paper tries to discuss that google versatile presence does not automatically rule out the function of a library as a service provider with accurate information. The library has several advantages that are not owned by google. First, all the collections usually pass through a rigorous selection process by the selection team. This is different to google which is procuring information through a machine called spiders or web crawlers. Secondly, with the number of hybrid library, with Google itself has become a part of the hybrid library tool itself. Third, the library will also provide a more humane service to the existence of a librarian. Professional librarians capable of providing relevant and accurate information to the information seekers.

Abstract

This article attempts to describe the efforts to increase the visibility of the website of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in webometrics ranking. Webometrics is a means to measure the progress of a university through its website. This article aims to find the right work steps in an effort to increase website visibility and also the birth of practical steps to lift webometrics rankings that can be used as guidelines by website managers at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The main data was obtained using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) techniques by presenting parties related to webometrics ranking, having knowledge of SEO practices, and having experience in web management. The findings indicate that there have been efforts to increase the quantity and quality of content with the establishment of the publication and documentation division. There are still various obstacles to be faced, such as content management that does not meet SEO principles, several pages and subdomains that are not maintained, are damaged, and even lost, causing bad backlinks. It is necessary to build a website that uses the multisite method which is very effective and efficient in integrating various website needs at UIN Jakarta. The need for various efforts to overcome these obstacles, such as the need for effective communication between web development teams, the need for SEO-friendly content writing training, and the importance of SOPs in optimizing web performance and getting maximum webometrics ranking.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan layanan deposit skripsi di perpustakan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala perpustakaan, petugas perpustakaan, para pemustaka dan pimpinan fakultas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa layanan deposit skripsi di perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora sudah dapat dilaksanakan, namun masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan, yaitu kurangnya petugas, perawatan sistem otomasi perpustakaan yang tidak teratur, dan ruang pengolahan yang terbatas, sementara itu jumlah skripsinya tiap tahun akan terus bertambah. Perpustakaan telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk menghadapi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini juga memberikan berbagai saran untuk peningkatan layanan deposit skripsi tersebut.---AbstractThis research is aim to describe thesis deposit service in the library of Adab and humanity faculty, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. It is a descriptive research which uses a qualitative approach. Its informants are the chief of library, librarian, users, and faculty superior. The result shows that thesis deposit service in the library has been carried out but with some obstacles to cope with, namely the unscheduled computer system maintenance, minimum human resource and room in thesis processing. The library has tried to overcome these problem, because day by the day the thesis number is increasing. These efforts have been examined and give some recommendations on how to keep the service better.

Abstract

AbstrakIndonesia adalah negara dengan komunitas Muslim terbanyak di dunia. Corak keislaman di Indonesia juga memilik kekhasan tersendiri, yang berbeda dengan sumber aslinya di Timur Tengah. Salah satu cara memahami corak keislaman Indonesia adalah dengan mempelajari naskah-naskah Islam Nusantara yang tersebar di Indonesa, sampai ke negara-negara tetangga. Keberadaan naskah itu tentu menjadi kekayaan tak ternilai untuk bangsa kita, sehingga sangat perlu untuk dilestarikan. Perpustakaan sebagai lembaga yang berfungsi untuk mengumpulkan, mengelola, dan menyebarkan informasi, perannya dalam pelestarian naskah Islam Nusantara sudah pasti sangat diperlukan. Perpustakaan bahkan dapat menjadikan kekayaan naskah Islam Nusantara tersebut sebagai strategi branding untuk bersaing dengan perpustakaan lainnya. Selain mengumpulkan informasi tentang naskah, mengolah dan menyebarkan informasi tentang naskah Islam Nusantara, perpustakaan juga harus memiliki pustakawan-pustakawan yang handal dan mumpuni dalam melestarikan naskah Islam Nusantara. Keberadaan Database Sumber Primer Islam Nusantara yang nantinya akan diintegrasikan dengan sistem otomasi di perpustakaan Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora (FAH) UIN Jakarta, akan menjadikan perpustakaan FAH sebagai perpustakaan yang memiliki distingsi dan keunggulan tersendiri dibanding perpustakaan lainnya.---AbstractIndonesia is the country with the largest Muslim community in the world. Islamic pattern in Indonesia also picks its own peculiarities, which is different from the original source in the Middle East. One way to understand the Indonesian Islamic style is by studying Islamic texts of archipelago scattered Indonesa, even to neighboring countries. The existence of the manuscript that will become invaluable wealth for our nation needs to be preserved. The library as an institution whose function is to collect, manage, and disseminate information, its role in the preservation of Islamic manuscripts archipelago is definitely indispensable. Libraries can even make the wealth of the archipelago of Islamic texts as a branding strategy to compete with other libraries. In addition to collecting information about the script, process and disseminate information on Islam Nusantara manuscripts, the library must also have librarians who are reliable and qualified in preserving texts of Islam Nusantara.  The existenceof primary source databases of Islam Nusantara which will be integrated into the automation system in the library of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta, will make FAH library as a library that has its own distinctions and advantages compared to other libraries.

Abstract

This research aims to find out parents' abilities in Islamic parenting,  their digital literacy skills, and whether there is an influence of Islamic parenting skills on parents' digital parenting skills. This research was carried out with a quantitative approach using simple regression analysis. Respondents in this study totaled 58 people. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling technique where the respondents selected were parents who met 2 main criteria. First, parents already have children who are at least 3 years old and above. Second, parents have the ability to use cell phones or other gadgets to access the internet. The research results show that parents' abilities in Islamic parenting are very high, reaching a score of 3.34. Likewise, in terms of digital parenting, parents' abilities are also quite high because they reach a score of 3.1. Then regarding the question of whether there is an influence of Islamic parenting skills on digital parenting, the answer is that there is a very significant influence, namely 0.81344502 from the results of using the Pearson product-moment formula.

Abstract

Reference services are one of the services available at Open University (UT) Library, and they are widely used to meet the information needs of its users. This research aims to determine the reference service process at UT Library, the process of utilizing these services, and the challenges faced in UT Library reference service. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are through observation and interviews with subjects, namely librarians, and objects, namely UT Library reference services. The research results show that UT Library has offline reference services in the library, online reference services via specific platforms, and digitally on the UT Digital Library website. UT Library reference services are mainly utilized online and digitally through the library's online database, although offline services are still available in the UT Library building. The three primary services in the UT Library database are OER/SUAKA-UT, RBV, and E-Resources, which can be visited via the https://pustaka.ut.ac.id/lib/ page and the http://repository.ut.ac page. id/ for UT repository. Because UT Libraries prioritizes their distance services, the challenges come from the uneven distribution of information and network problems in some areas when users access digital services. That is why the distribution of information in UT Digital Library needs to be improved, as well as features that can connect users to librarians directly. This makes it easier for users who want to consult further directly with a librarian.

Abstract

Big Data merupakan inovasi teknologi yang memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan pengambilan keputusan, efisiensi operasional, dan inovasi di berbagai sektor. Dengan karakteristik utamanya, yaitu volume, velocity, dan variety, Big Data memungkinkan analisis data yang kompleks dan beragam secara real-time. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur untuk menganalisis potensi, implementasi, serta tantangan Big Data berdasarkan publikasi antara tahun 2019 hingga 2023. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Big Data memberikan manfaat signifikan, terutama dalam analisis prediktif, pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, dan efisiensi rantai pasok. Namun, terdapat tantangan yang harus diatasi, seperti regulasi privasi, integrasi data, dan kesenjangan keterampilan. Dengan pendekatan teknologi yang tepat dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia, implementasi Big Data dapat memberikan nilai strategis yang signifikan bagi organisasi.
