Abstract

This paper discusses the design of computer programs that is able to discern the characteristics description of water surface elevation data in Manggarai water gate, which variable is the most influential on the water surface elevation model and find a proper flood forecasting model using multivariate autoregressive model. The result of this study is able to assist the water gate officer in delivering early warning, prevention and anticipation of flood countermeasure. The forecast equation model obtained is Yt = 109,.7828 + 0,9291 CHt-6 – 24,484 T t-2 – 0,06245 PM t-2 + 1,4706 KB t-2 in which temperature and water surface elevation is a variable that owns the strongest correlation. This variable owns negative correlation which means that if the temperature falls, the water levels will rise. The coefficient of determination has a value of R2 = 0.4056 and the Durbin Watson statistics for DW = 0.7429.

Abstract

This design of a computer software is a development and continuation of the software made on the previous research (2009/2010). However, this further research developed and expanded the scopes of testing more on the Siclic Group, Isomorphism Group, Semi Group, Sub Group and Abelian Group, Factor Ring, Sub Ring and Polynomial Ring; developed on the OSP (Open Source Program)-based. The software was developed using the OSP-based language programming, such Java, so it is open and free to use for its users. This research succeeded to develop an open source software of Java program that can be used for testing specific mathematical Groups, such Ciclic Group, Isomorphism Group, Semi Group, Sub Group and Abelian Group, and Rings, Commutative Ring, Division Ring, Ideal Sub Ring, Ring Homomorphism, Ring Epimorphism and Fields. By the results, the software developed was able to test as same as the results from manual testing.

Abstract

In today’s complex modern life, decision making plays a vital role. To assist in better decision making, a decision support system (DSS) application implementing Fuzzy VIKOR and Fuzzy TOPSIS methods has been developed. The application allows users to input evaluation criteria and alternatives, generating reliable and consistent rankings. The system performance was evaluated through manual calculation, Spearman coefficient correlation, and execution time test. The results showed that the implemented system is reliable and produces rankings that are consistent with manual calculation. A strong correlation was observed between Fuzzy VIKOR and Fuzzy TOPSIS rankings for cases with fewer criteria and alternatives, but it weakened as the complexity of the problem increased. In addition, the system showed that Fuzzy VIKOR had a faster overall execution time compared to the Fuzzy TOPSIS implementation. This indicates that the Fuzzy VIKOR method outperforms Fuzzy TOPSIS in terms of efficiency and computational speed. Overall, the developed DSS application helps decision makers in overcoming uncertainty and complexity in everyday decision making.
