Abstract

“Ulaon Unjuk” is a traditional Batak Toba Wedding Ceremony. If taker too much time, all day long, even over 6 p.m . this leads to extra expense for renting hall, and in village even spends longer, till 9 p.m. In this ceremony, bride’s family, relatives and colleagues give the couple “Ulos” , totally hundreds, these “ulos” when resell , the price decrease more than 70% from the normal price. This research is aimed at finding out the value chain of “ulos” used in Batak Toba traditional wedding ceremony in Sumatera Utara Province. Specifically, finding out activities, value, and act evaluation, in value chain of “Ulos”. Respondents are “Ulos” weavers and sellers, with responsive rate 90,91%, cultural regulators, Bride’s families,  and guests with responsive rate 90,28%. Respondents are from Medan City and Pematang Siantar City. Data needed are function and value of “Ulos”, preparing and offering “Ulos” in “Ulaon Unjuk”. Data collected by applying opened-qualitative method, which then, are tabulated and analyzed qualitatively. The result shows that 60% of the respondents mentioned that “Ulos” offering would be better given in form of money (as “ULOS NATINONUN SADARI”). It will decrease time and leads to no extra expense and keeps the normal price of ulos.Kata Kunci      : Ulaon Unjuk (Batak Toba Traditional Wedding Ceremony), Kain Ulos (Batak Traditional Cloth), Ulos Holong (“Ulos” given by Bride’s families, relatives and colleagues), and Value Chain

Abstract

Karya tulis ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan Puisi Hujan Bulan Juni karya Sapardi Djoko Damono, kata-kata yang digunakan Sapardi Djojo Damono sangat kongkret, pembaca dapat membayangkan secara jelas peristiwa atau keadaan yang dilukiskannya. Tujuan penelitian mengenai Bahasa Figuratif pada pusi Hujan Bulan Juni, yaitu mendeskripsikan bahasa-bahasa figuratif yang ada pada puisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini , yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif adalah penelitian dengan cara mendeskripsikan Objek yang dipilih. Objek penelitian ini adalah bahasa figuratif , sedangkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata dan ungkapan yang terdapat dalam puisi Hujan Bulan Juni, karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Teknik pengumpulan data  dalam peneliti ini adalah studi pustaka dengan cara membaca dan mencatat data-data berupa bait puisi yang mengandung bahasa figuratif  (majas).  Hasil penelitian analisis bahasa figuratif  adalah bahasa figurati personifikasi, bahasa figuratif paralelisme dan bahasa figuratif perlambangan.Kata kunci: Bahasa Figuratif, Puisi, Sapardi Djoko Damono

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information related to public services directly related to employee performance and to seek information related to the drivers of high-performance employees. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with documentation, observation, and interviews as the methods for data collection. Analysis of findings by presenting data that has been previously grouped so that conclusions can be drawn from the field with additional SWOT analysis. The findings of this study are that the Malua District Office, Enrekang Regency, has employees who are ineffective in carrying out their work due to limited human resources, information between employees has been well managed, the community served is not in a timely manner because office management is not efficient, there are still many employees who have not achieved work targets according to the specified deadline and employees have been optimal in work initiatives. Employees are encouraged to progress because they are motivated to progress together and the work environment is supportive. Barriers to employee growth are limited human resources, synergy between colleagues is not strong, and work networks have not been formed. An aggressive strategy is a way to improve employee performance by conducting regular training to optimize employee performance.
