Abstract

Abstrak: Proses pembelajaran fisika di kelas masih berpusat pada guru. Seperti ini tidak menarik dan membosankan bagi siswa, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar fisika siswa. Pembelajaran fisika seharusnya menekankan pada bagaimana seorang siswa dapat menguasai konsep fisika dengan baik. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengemas materi-materi pembelajaran fisika dalam suatu bahan ajar berbasis suatu model yang sesuai dengan karakteristik fisika tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar fisika berbasis learning cycle dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa. Objek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 5 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari enam kelas. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penilitian diambil melalui teknik simple random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA 2 dengan 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksprimen dengan bahan ajar baru dan kelas XI IPA 5 dengan 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dengan bahan ajar lama. Data penelitian diambil melaui pemberian pretest dan posttest menggunakan soal penguasaan konsep fisika siswa terhadap kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis N-gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa pada masing-masing kelas dan analisis anakova untuk mengetahui efektivitas bahan ajar yang digunakan. Hasil analisis Ngain menunjukkan capaian skor 0,7 pada kelas ekperimen yang menunjukkan peningkatan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa bearada pada kategori tinggi dan capaian skor 0,6 pada kelas kontrol yang berada pada kategori sedang. Analisis anakova pada taraf signifikansi 5 % menunjukkan Fhitung = 7,54 > Ftabel = 4,00, yang membuktikan bahwa bahan ajar fisika berbasis learning cycle lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa. This learning isn’t interested and make boring for students. Learning of physics should stress for students how a student could master physics concept well. One of effort could be done, that is, to create physics subject in learning materials based on definite model that suit with the physics characteristic. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of teaching materials physics-based learning cycle to improve student mastery of physics concepts. Research object is the entire student class XI Science SMAN 5 Mataram academic year 2012/2013 which consists of six classes. Research using experimental methods pretest-posttest control group. Research samples taken through simple random sampling technique to obtain class XI Science 2 class with 33 students as experiment with new teaching materials and class XI IPA 5 with 32 students as the control class with the old teaching materials. Data were taken through the provision of pretest and posttest using concepts about physics students mastery of experimental class and control class. Data were analyzed using N-gain analysis to determine the increase in mastery of the concepts of physics students in each class and Anacova analysis to determine the effectiveness of instructional materials used. N-Gain analysis of the results showed performance scores 0.7 in the experimental classes showed an increase in students mastery of physics concepts in the high category and achievement scores 0.6 in the control class in middle category. Analysis Anacova at 5% significance level of F = 7.54 showed > F = 4.00, which proves that the teaching materials of physics-based learning cycle is more effective in improving students mastery of physics concepts. Abstract

21st century learning is a collaboration of technology and science that can change students' abilities from LOTS (lower order thinking skills) to HOTS (higher order thinking skills). In its application, 21st century learning is supported by teaching resources and media based on environmental phenomena and technological developments. This research aims to determine the feasibility of the physics e-module based android application that has been developed after validation testing by media experts, material experts, and learning experts. This e-module was developed to serve as an innovation in physics learning in schools to improve high school students from LOTS to HOTS abilities. This type of research is development research by applying 4D model consisting of define, design, develop and disseminate stages. At the define stage, researchers examine and analyze phenomena in schools such as curriculum, student learning styles, teacher teaching styles, learning resources and learning media used. In the design stage, researchers design the needs of students and teachers in learning such as learning modules. In the develop stage, researchers develop products for student learning needs through expert validation from lecturers and teachers. In the disminate stage, researchers apply products that have been developed in schools. The population of this study was all class X students at SMAN 5 Mataram. Sampling in this research was carried out using a purposive sampling method. The classes chosen as research samples were classes X IPA 1 and The average score from the media validation results was 4.8 with a very valid category. The average score from the learning validation results was 4.7 in the very valid category. Based on the validation results, it was concluded that the development product in the form of an integrated physics e-module with local wisdom based on an Android application was suitable for use in schools.
