Abstract

Abstrak Berita hoax dan black campaignpada masa kampanye menjelang pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden serta anggota legislatif tahun 2019 ini banyak disebarluaskan melalui media sosial. Menariknya, pengguna media sosial tersebut banyak berasal dari remaja yang sedang duduk di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dan beberapa di antaranya merupakan pemilih pemula. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Kristen Indonesia kepada siswa-siswi SMA Global Prestasi, Kalimalang, Bekasi dalam bentuk pendidikan politik bagi generasi milenial. Kegiatan PKM tersebut dilakukan dengan memberikanpengarahan kepada siswa-siswi SMA Global Prestasi untuk memanfaatkan hak politik mereka sambil tetap berpikir kritis dan bersikap cerdas dalam menyikapi sejumlah berita hoax dan kampanye hitam yang dikaitkan dengan isu-isu politik di Indonesia. Kata kunci: Pendidikan politik, pemilih pemula, berita hoax, media sosial Abstract Many hoaxes and black campaigns during the campaign period ahead of the 2019 Election of President and Vice-President as well as legislative members are widely disseminated through social media. Interestingly, social media users mostly come from teenagers who are high school (SMA) students and some of them are beginner voters. Therefore this paper aims to explain the Community Service (PKM) activities carried out by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the Christian University of Indonesia to students of Global Prestasi High School, Kalimalang, Bekasi in the form of political education for the millennial generation. The PKM activity is carried out by giving education and direction to Global Prestasi High School students to take advantage of their political rights while still thinking critically and being smart at the same time in responding to a number of hoaxes and black campaigns that are associated with political issues in Indonesia. Abstract

Public speaking skills for church community is very important in facing the new challenges in the digital age. Faculty of Social and Political Science Universitas Kristen Indonesia organized community service activity in the form of public speaking workshop to HKBP Karawang community member on Friday, 23 April 2021. The public speaking was conducted by the presentation and the simulation. After the training was completed, the participant filled the project satisfaction survey. The survey was analyzed using SPSS. The result showed that the participants were satisfied with the training and were recommended to be followed by subsequent training. Keywords: public speaking training, HKBP Karawang, Fisipol UKI

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) entitled "CLEAN ENERGY EDUCATION AND SOLAR PANEL APPLICATION AT THE HKBP AEK BOLON CHURCH" in the Aek Bolon Julu Village, Balige District, Toba Regency, demonstrated the commitment of the PKM team to raise awareness and utilize solar energy. Cooperation with the Pomparan Opung Jaenna Siahaan indigenous community provided significant financial and logistical support, including funding for the construction of solar panel lamp foundation poles, location permits, as well as transportation and accommodation for the PKM implementation team. The impact was not only seen in cost savings for the Church and its congregation but also in optimizing the Church hall asset, which could then be used more effectively at night. Before the solar panel lighting, fear and limited access to the Church at night were the main obstacles. Through educational activities such as lectures during worship days, the PKM team succeeded in increasing the Church community's awareness of sustainable solutions. This program not only provided improvements in infrastructure but also created a safe and comfortable environment, reflecting the positive impact directly felt by the community around the HKBP AEK BOLON Church.
