Abstract

Biogas is one solution to overcome community difficulties due to rising fuel prices and the scarcity of LPG gas, this technology can be immediately applied, especially for cattle breeders. Utilizing cow dung that is processed anaerobically in a digester which will produce methane gas as an alternative energy. In planning this household-scale biogas device, there are several components designed including a digester with a volume capacity of 400L with a filling capacity of 2/3 of the digester volume, the material used is HDPE plastic (High Density Polyethylene) and a holding capacity of 147 L which produces a flash time. fire for 20.01 minutes for 15 days of the fermentation process. Where the lowest pressure is obtained on the 3rd day with a pressure of 104.668,73 N/m2, and the maximum pressure is on the 12th day with a maximum pressure of 107.201,85 N/m2i. simulation using solidwork software results in the digester construction which is planned to be used because it has a fairly good level of security

Abstract

The use of a belt conveyor is one of the choices of facilities or tools used to transport or move materials or as a means of transporting materials, both bulk materials and individual materials. One of the machines that requires a conveyor is a corn cob sheller and chopper machine which was created in 2022. by Majalengka University students. This tool has a problem, namely, the corn that has been shelled cannot automatically go straight into the chopping machine, so a design is needed that takes into account the safety factor and the correct conveyor speed. This is of course for safety and ensures that the conveyor can transport corn which has a density of 760 kg/m 3 at a slope of 300 ‰. For this reason, the conveyor that best suits these needs must have specifications with a total belt length of 0.295 m, drum pulley diameter of 3 in or 0.0762 m, shaft diameter of 20 mm with a length of 500 mm, 150 watt electric motor drive, 16T small sprocket gear and 24T large sprocket with chain number 35. Safety Factor (SF) on the Belt Conveyor frame has a minimum SF value of 6.3, with a maximum tension of 32.5 N/mm2 and yield strength of 204 N/mm2 and a belt speed of 0.5 m/s.

Abstract

In Indonesia, one of the government's programmes is village electricity. For remote villages in mountainous areas, the construction of micro-hydro power plants is one of the answers to the government programme. Power generation in this way is very suitable for our country, given the natural conditions consisting of many mountains that have streams of river water. In turbines we recognise various types of turbines used, we can use francis, kaplan and pelton turbines. The use of these turbines depends on the potential head owned, Pelton turbines that use the principle of impulse require a relatively high head. In this study, it will be studied how the effect of nozzle angle variation and the number of blades on the performance of pelton turbines. The test results show that the tilt angle 65° produces higher rotation at 900-910 rpm while the tilt 90° produces lower rotation around 800-880 rpm. While the effect of the number of blades used is not so significant in the performance of pelton turbines, it can be seen in the use of the number of blades 9 and 18 at the tilt 65° nominal rotation that occurs around 900-910 rpm.

Abstract

One economical alternative to building a small-scale hydroelectric power plant is to use pumps as turbines, often referred to as PATs, which stands for Pump As Turbines. This research was conducted with an experimental method using a factorial experiment 22 After conducting research and data processing, Angle of Entry of Pump As Turbines and impeller tip angles Factors on turbines are equally influential to increase the speed of turning Pump As Turbines (PATs), but the variables the most influential in this study to increase the rotational speed of Pump As Turbines is the entry angle of PATs. Based on data processing to find the most influential variable using the Yates algorithm, if changing the PATs Entry Angle from 45° to 90° there will be an increase in Pump As Turbines rotational speed of 30.1 rpm while changing the impeller tip angles from 40° to 30° can only increase the Pump As Turbines rotational speed by 18.6 rpm. The alternator capacity that can be produced by Pump As Turbines is 100W, based on electrical power testing using a load of incandescent light bulbs. The electric power that can be generated by Pump As Turbines uses test samples at optimum conditions, namely the 90° Angle of Entry and the impeller tip angle 30° at the water pressure from the input pump 0.375 bar (g). The results of loading given using incandescent light bulbs with the power of 5 W, 10 W, 25 W, 40 W, and 100 W, there is the lowest voltage that is 194 V on a light bulb with 100 Watt power with alternator rotational speed of 855.7 rpm in the 3rd experiment.

Abstract

Abstract The increasing use of metals in the industrial world, including in terms of technology, plays an important role in easing the task of humans in making or shaping something. For example, metal forming and metalworking techniques range from conventional to non-conventional, such as in the process of making organic plate molds. Practitioner choose placement in the Organic Plate Mold Making Process because they want to know the cutting conditions of the pressing / bottom plate mold and the G-code used in making the cross-section / top plate mold. The plate mold making process uses conventional and CNC lathes. Conventional lathes are used to make top molds whereas CNC is used to make bottom molds. With the mold using a circular ST 37 steel with a thickness of 45 mm and a diameter of 260 mm. Then the undergoes a surface leveling process, then it is followed by a flat turning process, tapering until finishing. Then proceed with the blocking process so that the prints are smoother and more even. Keywords: Organic Plate Mold, Conventional Lathes, CNC.

Abstract

Mixing Material (Mixing) is done in the world and everyday life. One of the many used equipment is a vertical shaft mixer (Vertical Stirred Mixer). Mixed materials are generally relatively thick liquid. Other materials processed are microbial fermentation, sand, medicinal material and granular powder. The process of mixing materials in the vertical shaft mixer is a major operating unit that is carried out for the process of chemical products, drugs, paint and paper processing, food processing and water management and activities in mining. The process of making a vertical axle using a conventional lathe. By using SS 304 steel material with a diameter of 80 mm and a length of 280 mm. Then the material underwent the surface leveling process, then continued with a multilevel flat flattery to finishing. Then proceed with the cutting process using the Frais machine and the process of turning the matrix. Keywords : Vertical Graded Shaft, Conventional Lathe, Axle

Abstract

Abstract Hydraulics have been widely used, especially in the industrial world and have become a very important component because the hydraulic system can make machine work more economical. Many industrial processes use hydraulic systems to assist in the production process. One that uses a lot of hydraulic systems is the cement industry. PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk uses a hydraulic system in almost every component of its production. One of the production components that use it is the Rotary Kiln Kiln is a component that functions to burn cement raw materials and mix them by rotating continuously. Rotational movement that occurs can cause a shift in the kiln. To overcome this shift, there is one important component in the kiln circuit, namely the Hydraulic kiln thruster which functions to keep the kiln tube in place, besides helping to keep the kiln cylinder up and down. and maintenance of PT Indocement Tunggal Pakarsa Tok's Rotary Kiln Plan 10 as a report on practical work that has been carried out.

Abstract

Bushing is a mechanical component that functions to reduce friction, absorb vibration, and extend the lifespan of machine parts. This study was conducted through practical work at PT. Amanah Jaya Persada to analyze the production process of bushing using a conventional lathe machine. The research method involved observation, literature study, direct practice, and data collection. The production stages included design using Computer Aided Design (CAD), machining with a conventional lathe, finishing, and quality control. Calculations of machining parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut, and machining time were also performed. The results showed that the conventional lathe machine can produce bushings that meet dimensional standards and tolerances of ±0.05 mm. The success of the process depends on proper tool selection, accurate calculation, and operator skills. Although CNC machines provide higher precision, conventional lathes remain effective and economical for small to medium-scale production.
