Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of numerical ability on mathematical problem solving abilities of students in class XI MAS in Bayur. This research is a quantitative study with total sampling technique. Data were collected through tests and analyzed by simple linear regression. The results showed that numerical ability had a positive effect on mathematical problem solving skills with the regression equation Y = 32.865 + 0.633X. Numerical ability has a significant effect on mathematical problem solving ability based on the significance level of the numerical ability variable is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. The relationship between numerical ability and mathematical problem solving ability is positive based on a correlation coefficient of 0.874. The variable of mathematical problem solving ability is influenced by 76.3% by the variable of numerical ability, the remaining 23.7% is influenced by other variables based on the coefficient of determination of 0.763.

Abstract

AbstrakTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang perkiraan suhu reservoir panas bumi dari indikasi yang terdapat di permukaan yang berupa 5 (lima) mata air panas di Nagari Panti, Kecamatan Panti, Kabupaten Pasaman. Perhitungan suhu dilakukan dengan menggunakan persamaan geotermometer dengan melibatkan konsentrasi Na, K, Ca dan SiO2 pada sampel air panas yang telah dianalisis menggunakan AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) dan spektrofotometer. Dari pengujian menggunakan geotermometer Na, K, Ca dan SiO2, geotermometer yang cocok untuk daerah Panti adalah geotermometer Na-K-Ca dengan hasil perhitungan suhu perkiraan reservoir rata-rata 548,9 °C yang menunjukkan bahwa di Nagari Panti terdapat suatu reservoir panas bumi yang bersuhu tinggi dengan potensi energi lebih dari 100 MW.Kata Kunci: mata air panas, geotermometer, reservoir panas bumi.AbstractThe research to estimate the temperature of geothermal reservoir on 5 (five) hot springs in Panti, Pasaman Regency using geothermometer equations has been carried out. Temperature calculation is done by using the geothermometer equation involving concentrations of Na, K, Ca and SiO2 contained in the hot water samples which were analyzed with AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) and spectrophotometer. Based on the calculation, the temperature estimation is 548.9 °C which is obtained by Na-K-Ca geothermometer. It is predicted that Panti has high geothermal reservoir temperature, and energy which is more than 100 MW.Keyword: hot springs, geothermoeter, geothermal reservoir
