Abstract

This reseach is aimed at knowing the students ability in both solving the math problem and connection those who are taught by Problem Based Learning at class VIII of the Junior High school 28 Padang 2017/2018. This research is categorized as quasy Experimental Research, by using Randomized Control Group Only Design. After implementing the Problem Based Leaning, the student was directly given the test as the result showed that the score  of the student who belong to the experimental class in  problem solving recorded as 74,00 while those who were in the control class only refers to 72,30. The test average score on the experimental class in term of math connection ability was 68,73; while in the control class recorded as 62,43. The T- Test showed that T-Table equals to 1,64 with the degree of reliability 95% . This fact reveals that the students’ ability in solving the problem after being taught through Problem Based Learning is higher than in control class with T-count equals to 3,71; while their connection math ability through Problem Based Learning Model in the Experimental Class is higher than control with T-count 2.17.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, problem solving, mathematics connection

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the logical thinking skills of students who learn with Solok City's Solok Think Talk Write class VIII strategy. This research is a quasi-experimental design with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Random sampling technique. The experimental class VIIIG and the VIIIE control class were selected. The instrument of this study tests mathematical logical thinking skills. Based on the results of the test, the average experimental class was 80.81 higher than the control class of 75.03. Hypothesis testing with t-test shows that mathematical logical thinking ability of experimental class students is higher than control class students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui proporsi dan penyebab terjadinya kesalahan koneksi matematis yang dilakukan peserta didik menjawab soal materi kesebangunan dan kekongruenan kelas IX SMPN 4 VII Sungai Sarik Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IX3 tahun ajaran 2017/2018, yang diambil dari 6 peserta didik yang melakukan kesalahan koneksi matematis, 2 peserta didik dari kelompok atas, 2 kelompok menengah dan 2 kelompok bawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) Kesalahan koneksi antar topik matematika rata-rata 18,83. Penyebabnya peserta didik belum mampu menghubungkan pengetahuanpengetahuan yang dimiliki, kurang memahami dan lupa konsep, tidak memahami soal, kurang teliti dan kesalahan dalam perhitungan. b) Kesalahan koneksi antar disiplin ilmu lain rata-rata 68,34. Penyebabnya peserta didik belum mampu menghubungkan pengetahuan antar disiplin ilmu lain, kurang teliti dalam menyimak dan mengenali persoalan berkaitan dengan pokok bahasan tertentu dan melihat keterangan dari soal. c) Kesalahan koneksi matematika dengan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari rata-rata 81,67. Penyebabnya peserta didik sulit memahami soal, rendahnya penguasaan materi prasyarat, tidak mampu mengaitkan matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students taught by reciprocal teaching models with an intellectually repetition model in SMP N 6 Kota Solok. This type of research is a quasy experiment with a randomized control group only design. Test instruments the ability to understand mathematical concepts. Based on the test result obtained the average ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students by reciprocal teaching model 81,66 by auditory intellectually repetition model 77,75 and ordinary learning 73,91. Hypothesis testing indicated that the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students by reciprocal teaching model and the auditory intellectually repetition model were higher than the ordinary learning model. Beside it, it was also concluded that there were difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts with reciprocal teaching model and auditory intellectually repetition model.

Abstract

In this paper it is considered about Amanded Basic Virus Infection Model (ABVIM), with defined R0 which is  free from carrying capacity. R0 makes ABVIM reasonable for interpreting Hepatitis B virus infection. The behaviour of stability of ABVIM in free virus equilibrium point with R0 less than one and endemic equilibrium point more than one is given with numerical simulation.Key words: Basic virus infection model, Hepatitis B virus  infection, equilibrium point, stability

Abstract

The purpose of this research is comparing the conceptual understanding of students who learn with Contextual Teaching and Learning using modules in the material of Class VIII Two-Variable Linear Equation (SPLDV) System in SMP N 2 Timpeh. This study was an Quasy Experiment with a Randomized Control Group Design Only. The population of all eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Timpeh in 2018/2019 which collected 66 people. Sampling by Simple random sampling and selected class VIII students. A as experimental class and VIII. B as a control class. The results of the study, obtained an average value of students' understanding of the mathematical concepts in the experimental class and combined controls were 83.35 and 78.72. Furthermore, hypothesis testing is done for the students' ability to understand concepts, obtained that t count > t table, which states the understanding ability of students who learn through contextual Teaching and Learning using a higher module about the ability to learn concepts of students who learn through conventional learning. This shows that learning uses modules effectively in improving students' conceptual comprehension abilities.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine differences of learning outcomes among mathematics learners who were taught by using the strategy of learning the type of power two and the learning Cell strategy at class VII of Junior High School (SMPN) 31 Padang. The Average result of the students those who were taught by The Power of Two was 74,00 and 73,78 for The Learning Cell. The Hypothesis testing obtained 0,803 for the t count and = 1,645 for the T-table. This indicate that there is a low significance difference on the result mathematics taught by using active strategy The Power of Two and Learning Cell.

Abstract

Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh strategi Mathematical Habits of Mind terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik kelas VIII MTsN 2 Solok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen-semu dengan rancangan randomized control group only design. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII MTsN 2 Solok. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berfikir kritis matematis diukur dengan instrumen tes serta dianalisis dengan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol baerturut-turut adalah 74,91 dan 64,91, sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis  peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol berturut-turut adalah 73,73 dan 64,80. Untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh,????hitung>????tabel (2,60 > 1,65), demikian juga halnya dengan kemampuan berfikir kritis matematis diperoleh thitung >ttabel (2,29.>.1,65). Hal ini menyatakan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berfikir kritis matematis peserta didik kelas VIII MTsN 2 Solok yang belajar dengan strategi mathematical habits of mind lebih tinggi dari pada strategi pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi profesionalitas dosen dan fasilitas belajar terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika FTK UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif asosiatif, variabel independentnya adalah kompetensi profesionalitas dosen (x1) dan fasilitas belajar (x2) serta variabel dependentnya indeks prestasi kumulatif (y) mahasiswa. Instrumen yang pakai angket kompetensi profesionalitas dosen dan fasilitas belajar serta lembar hasil studi mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data angket ditemukan bahwa rata-rata  kompetensi profesionalitas dosen sebesar 71,48, dan fasilitas belajar  rata-rata 49,01. Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif Mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika mempunyai rata-rata 3,25. Hasil uji hipotesis menyimpulkan bahwa Kompetensi Profesionalitas Dosen berkontribusi positif dan signifikan terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika FTK UIN Imam Bonjol Padang dengan koefisien korelasi kuat sebesar 0,717. Fasilitas Belajar berkontribusi positif dan signifikan terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif dengan koefisien korelasi rendah sebesar 0,320. Kompetensi profesionalitas dosen dan fasilitas belajar secara bersama-sama berkontribusi  positif dan signifikan terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika FTK UIN Imam Bonjol Padang dengan koefisien korelasi  kuat sebesar 0,740. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi profesionalitas dosen dan fasilitas belajar berpengaruh pada indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika FTK UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of professional competence of lecturers and learning facilities on student cumulative achievement index of the Mathematics Tadris Study Program, FTK, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This research is quantitative with an associative descriptive method, the independent variable is the professional competence of lecturers () and learning facilities () and the dependent variable is the student cumulative achievement index (y). The research instrument is a questionnaire of professional competence of lecturers and learning facilities and student study results sheets. It was found that the average professional competence of lecturers was 71.48, and learning facilities were 49.01. The Student's Grade Point Average in the Mathematics Tadris Study Program has an average of 3.25. Hypothesis result of test concluded that the Lecturer Professional Competence contributed positively and significantly to the cumulative achievement index of the students of the Mathematics Tadris Study Program, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang with a strong correlation coefficient of 0.717. Learning facilities contribute positively and significantly to cumulative achievement index with a low correlation coefficient of 0.320. Professional competence of lecturers and learning facilities jointly contributed positively and significantly to student cumulative achievement index of Mathematics Tadris Study Program of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang with a strong correlation coefficient of 0.740. Based on the hypothesis test, it was concluded that the professional competence of lecturers and learning facilities had an effect on student cumulative achievement index of Mathematics Tadris Study Program, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.

Abstract

LKPD merupakan media pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk berlatih menyelesaikan soal pada mata pelajaran matematika guna membantu peserta didik dalam menguasai materi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan pesera didik MTs Muhammadiyah Muaro Pauah, peserta didik menyatakan kebanyakan soal  pada LKPD sulit untuk diselesaikan. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui keadaan sebenarnya soal LKPD tersebut dengan menganalisis tingkat kognitif soalnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi dokumen/teks. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data penelitian ialah lembar penilaian tingkat kognitif soal. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif persentatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kognitif soal LKPD yaitu C1 (2,32%), C2 (4,65%), C3 (69,76%), C4 (23,25%), C5 (0%), C6 (0%) untuk contoh soal, dan C1 (4,80%), C2 (9,60%), C3 (53,60%), C4 (32,00%), C5 (0%), C6 (0%)  untuk soal uji kompetensi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat diketahui bahwa soal LKPD telah mencakup tingkat berpikir yang bervariasi yaitu tingkat berpikir rendah (C1 dan C2), menengah (C3) dan tinggi (C4). Namun, tingkat kognitif soal LKPD didominasi oleh soal berpikir tingkat menengah (C3). Dengan begitu, soal LKPD belum sesuai dengan perbandingan 30% : 40% : 30% untuk masing-masing kategori soal mudah, sedang, dan sukar.
