Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases are the world’s leading cause of death with significant death rates caused by abnormalities in vessels such as aneurysms and stenosis. These conditions can potentially cause blockage and thinning of vessels which may lead to heart attack, stroke, and bleedings. Recently, computational simulation methods are frequently used in blood flow analysis. These methods are frequently used in vascular fluid dynamics analysis which relate to the origin of a disease, efficacy prediction in installation of therapeutic instruments and complements the in vitro studies. This article presents an example of a simple vascular simulation to study the effect of blood flow with respect to vascular wall displacement. Furthermore, this research shows the importance of formal CFD pre-processing such as mesh independence testing which influences the simlation accuracy as well as vascular flow prediction and its effects on vascular wall displacement. In this research, it is concluded that the number of mesh elements affects the accuracy of vascular wall shear stress (WSS) calculations with average WSS difference of 0.8 Pa with no significant difference in wall displacement values. An average WSS of 1.95 Pa and a wall displacement of 5.7 µm are obtained from the blood flow simulation in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to figure out people who has an enthusiasm on gliding sport by looking on their geodemography and psychography, because gliding sport still uncommon for people in Indonesia. This study uses survey method with Google Form as an instrument. The subject of this study are 15 customers of Jakarta Soaring Club. The result of this study shows that mostly the customers of Jakarta Soaring Club come from a male in the age of 21 – 26 years old, have a bachelor’s degree, working as a company employee, have a monthly salary between RP 10.000.000 – 15.000.000, lives in Jabodetabek, and have an adrenaline junkie. The conclusion of this study is the gliding sport enthusiast come from upper-level society who have an interest in gliding and high adrenaline sport, so they choose gliding sport as an activity to do their hobby and interest. This research can conclude that gliding is still an exclusive sport in Indonesia due to expensive fee and difficult access. To expand this sport and for gaining more enthusiasts, we must promote this sport more often especially to those who matched the demography and psychography characteristics based on this survey. The discussion among gliding sport enthusiasts showcased a vibrant and passionate community dedicated to the unique experience of soaring through the skies. From technical details to the camaraderie and environmental considerations, participants demonstrated a holistic approach to gliding, emphasizing the need for continuous learning, safety, and community support within this exhilarating sport.Key words: Analysis, Gliding, Enthusiast, Sport

Abstract

Studi menggunakan organ usus hewan telah sering dilakukan sebagai prosedur evaluasi metode terapi baru pada prosedur pembedahan digestif seperti pada kasus pembedahan kanker dan anastomosis usus. Namun, proses evaluasi keberhasilan prosedur pembedahan ini biasa dilakukan melalui uji laboratorium patologi klinis yang biasanya memakan waktu yang panjang, pengkondisian khusus, serta biaya yang tidak sedikit. Oleh karena itu, kebutuhan akan adanya alat ukur in vitro pembanding uji performa kuantitatif kekuatan usus hewan pasca terapi.amatlah besar Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem alat ukur berbasis pneumatik untuk pengukuran tekanan maksimum usus hewan berdasarkan metode burst pressure test yang terdiri atas rangkaian pompa udara, pengontrol pneumatik, dan sensor tekanan. Eksperimen  didahului dengan uji coba kerja sistem menggunakan spesimen uji balon, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji akhir menggunakan spesimen usus halus dari hewan uji babi ternak. Penelitian berhasil mengukur nilai tekanan maksimal spesimen usus halus babi ternak yang belum pernah diukur sebelumnya yaitu sebesar 20 kPa.
