Abstract

Latar belakang: Anak usia sekolah dasar (7-13 tahun) belum mampu menentukan hal yang baik untuk kesehatan tubuhnya, termasuk dalam hal memilih jajanan yang sehat. Banyaknya pedagang yang menjajakan makanan cepat saji di lingkungan sekolah merupakan masalah bagi kesehatan anak. Upaya dini yang harus dilakukan adalah memberikan penyuluhan kepada anak terkait jajanan sehat. Tujuan: Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak tentang jajanan sehat. Metode: Kegiatan penyuluhan dilaksanakan di aula SDN 49 Banda Aceh yang diikuti oleh perwakilan siswa kelas II, III, IV dan V. Tim pengabdian memberikan pretest sebelum pelaksanakaan penyuluhan tentang jajanan yang sehat dan tidak sehat yang disajikan melalui power point. Selanjutnya pemutaran film bertemakan dampak salah memilih jajanan pada anak. Tim memberikan posttest dan membagikan bingkisan makanan sehat terdiri dari susu kotak, air mineral, biskuit dan kue.  Hasil: Kegiatan pengabdian meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dengan nilai posttest (83.62±2.83) dan nilai pretest (66.73±3.42). Keaktifan siswa mencapai 90% dalam menjawab pertanyaan yang disampaikan tim.  Kesimpulan: Penyuluhan jajanan sehat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan melatih kemampuan anak dalam memilih jajanan yang dijual lingkungan sekolah. Selanjutnya diharapkan kepada pihak sekolah dapat membimbing siswa saat memilih jajanan. Selain itu kantin sekolah lebih diberdayakan dalam penyediaan jajanan sehat untuk anak. Kata kunci: penyuluhan, jajanan sehat, anak __________________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract Background: Elementary school-age children (7-13 years) have not been able to determine what is good for their body health, including choosing healthy snacks. The number of traders selling fast food in the school environment is a problem for children's health. An early effort that must be done is to provide counseling to children regarding healthy snacks. Objective: To increase children's knowledge about healthy snacks. Methods: The counseling activity was carried out in the hall of SDN 49 Banda Aceh which was attended by representatives of class II, III, IV, and V students. The service team gave a pretest before the implementation of counseling about healthy and unhealthy snacks presented through power points. Furthermore, the screening of the film with the theme of the impact of choosing the wrong snacks on children. The team gave a posttest and distributed healthy food packages consisting of boxed milk, mineral water, biscuits, and cakes. Results: Service activities increased students' knowledge with posttest scores (83.62±2.83) and pretest scores (66.73±3.42). The activeness of students reached 90% in answering questions submitted by the team. Conclusion: Counseling on healthy snacks can increase knowledge and train children's abilities in choosing snacks that are sold in the school environment. Furthermore, it is hoped that the school can guide students when choosing snacks. In addition, the school canteen is more empowered in providing healthy snacks for children.  Keywords: counseling, healthy snacks, children

Abstract

Latar belakang: Gempa yang terjadi di Pidie Jaya berdampak luas pada masalah kesehatan, kerusakan material dan korban jiwa. Korban gempa menempati tenda-tenda pengungsian yang didirikan pasca gempa terjadi. Kekurangan sandang, pangan sangat dirasakan oleh masyarakat. Peduli gema Pidie Jaya ditunjukkan dengan pemberian bantuan dan pendekatan pada korban. Tujuan:  Untuk memberikan pendekatan PHBS dan menyalurkan bantuan kebutuhan sandang dan pangan korban terdampak gempa. Metode: Pendekatan dan mengedukasi PHBS dilaksanakan di wilayah terparah gempa yaitu desa Kuta Pangwa. Peserta penyuluhan terdiri dari bapak-bapak dan ibu-ibu di tenda-tenda pengungsian. Hasil: Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi penyuluhan dan pemberian bantuan. Peserta antusias mendengarkan penyuluhan PHBS. Materi yang disampaikan dengan metode ceramah, dan praktek mencuci tangan pakai sabun dengan baik dan benar. Kegiatan selanjutnya pemberian bantuan berupa minyak, gula, beras, telur, susu, pampers, susu bayi, dan lainnya. Selanjutnya dibagikan juga pakaian baru baik untuk orang dewasa maupun anak-anak. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat untuk korban gempa berupa pengetahuan tentang cuci tangan pakai sabun. Selain itu, penyerahan bantuan sembako dan lainnya untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari masyarakat. Kata kunci: peduli gempa, PHBS, penyaluran bantuan ______________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract Background: The earthquake that occurred in Pidie Jaya had a wide impact on health problems, material damage and loss of life. Earthquake victims occupied refugee camps that were erected after the earthquake occurred. Lack of clothing, food is felt by the community. Pidie Jaya's echoes of care are shown by providing assistance and approaches to victims. Objective: To provide a PHBS approach and distribute assistance for the clothing and food needs of victims affected by the earthquake. Methods: Approaching and educating PHBS was carried out in the area worst hit by the earthquake, namely the village of Kuta Pangwa. The counseling participants consisted of men and women in refugee camps. Result: The activities carried out included counseling and providing assistance. Participants enthusiastically listened to the PHBS counseling. The material was delivered using the lecture method, and the practice of washing hands with soap properly and correctly. The next activity was providing assistance in the form of oil, sugar, rice, eggs, milk, diapers, baby milk, and others. Furthermore, new clothes were also distributed for both adults and children. Conclusion: This activity provides benefits for earthquake victims in the form of knowledge about washing hands with soap.
