Abstract

Abstract

Abstract.  One of the wastes that can be utilized is Rice Husk Ash (ASP). Rice husk ash is a waste material from processing rice into rice in rice mills, which is not used for further processing. As a waste material for processing mills, rice husk ash is an alternative additive that can substitute for cement. This study aims to determine the characteristics of Rice Husk Ash (ASP) as a cement substitution material in making bricks and to determine the characteristics of rice husk ash (ASP) as a cement substitution material. The results showed that the specimens with ASP 3% contained high SiO2 compounds, namely 60.81%. The test object with 5% ASP contains 40.32% CaO compound. And the test object with ASP 7% contains CaO compound of 32.58%.Keywords: Brick, rice husk ash (ASP)

Abstract

The objectives to be achieved in this study are to examine the effect of land-use change on traffic generation in the Tallasa City corridor in Makassar City. The goals to be completed are identifying land use and transportation conditions, calculating traffic flow, analyzing land use development, analyzing movement generation, and analyzing the effect of land-use change on traffic generation on the corridor of Tallasa City. The research method used in this research is descriptive by identifying the land use and transportation conditions of the Tallasa City corridor. Then carried out an analysis of land use development, analysis of generation and attraction, and analysis of the effect of land use on the generation and appeal of the Tallasa City corridor movement in Makassar City. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the condition of average service level of the existing conditions on the Tallasa City corridor is in category A, with the meaning of stable flow, and the driver is free to determine the speed he chooses. The planned land use pattern in the study area is dominated by land use for housing, education, trade, and services. The type of land use influences the effect of land-use change on traffic generation in the Tallasa City corridor. As a result of this land-use change causes a generation that reduces the level of road services in the planning year, which changes to category C with the meaning of steady flow and speed controlled by traffic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the rainwater harvesting system and calculate the volume of rainwater that can be accommodated for water needs at the plantation site. The research method used is the Rational method. The data used are rainfall data and catchment area which are then calculated using hydrological analysis and hydraulics analysis. The calculation of the average daily rainfall uses the Gumbel method, while the calculation of rainfall intensity uses the Vanbreen method with the Talbot formula, and to find the channel discharge using the Rational method. From the results of the calculations and analysis above, it can be concluded that 1) Rainwater harvesting can be used as an alternative for managing water resources on plantations. 2) The intensity of rainfall for the 5-year return period is 30,644 mm/hour. 3) the catchment area of the garden house 2 x 13.5 m2 can produce a rainwater discharge of = 0.0000828050 m3/second. 4) The volume of 2 sewer tanks can accommodate 1570 liters of water. 5) Farmers can take advantage of stored rainwater for up to 20 days.
