Abstract

Sidewalks are pedestrian paths generally parallel to road and higher than the pavement surface to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Sidewalk is important for pedestrians; thus, it has to meet the standards of technical requirement. This study aimed to evaluate condition of sidewalk in Kudus City, Indonesia to find out whether the existing sidewalks had complied with the technical requirement as stipulated in the Indonesian guideline for technical planning of pedestrian facilities. This was a descriptive quantitative study involving sidewalks as the sample. Data were collected through survey and analyzed quantitatively. Despite having several issues around design of the construction, the existing sidewalk in Kudus City, Indonesia had been in accordance with the provision as prescribed in the Indonesian guideline for technical planning of pedestrian facilities. Finding of the study suggested that sidewalks need for further improvement for the convenience of pedestrians, especially signposts, sidewalk accessories, direction and other relevant properties.Keywords: Descriptive qualitative study, Indonesian standard of public facilities development, pedestrians, sidewalks

Abstract

Akibat posisi Indonesia di zona Cincin Api Pasifik, risiko seismik sangat tinggi, terutama di Jakarta yang memiliki lapisan endapan tanah lunak tebal (kelas situs SE) yang memicu amplifikasi gelombang gempa. Bangunan 11 lantai dengan Sistem Rangka Pemikul Momen Khusus (SRPMK) murni mengandalkan filosofi Strong Column Weak Beam (SCWB) untuk mengarahkan kerusakan pada balok dan mencegah keruntuhan. Namun, pada fase pasca leleh, peningkatan kekuatan aktual balok (overstrength) dan degradasi kekakuan dapat menyebabkan kegagalan SCWB di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pemenuhan kriteria SCWB secara eksplisit pada kondisi pasca leleh melalui analisis pushover, serta menentukan urutan pembentukan sendi plastis dan level kinerja menurut ATC 40. Metode mencakup pemodelan 3D dengan ETABS, perhitungan rasio SCWB elastis sesuai SNI 2847:2019, dan analisis static non-linear pushover dengan distribusi beban lateral berbasis ragam. Hasil verifikasi menunjukkan semua hubungan balok kolom memenuhi ΣMnc ≥ 1,2 ΣMnb dengan rentang 1,22–4,41. Analisis pushover mengonfirmasi mekanisme beam sidesway, dengan sendi plastis pertama muncul pada balok lantai dasar pada step 27 (arah X) dan step 25 (arah Y), tanpa kerusakan kolom hingga akhir. Titik kinerja dari metode spektrum kapasitas ATC 40 menghasilkan gaya geser ultimit melampaui demand desain; total drift mengindikasikan Immediate Occupancy, namun inelastic drift mengarah pada Damage Control. Disimpulkan bahwa kriteria SCWB elastis cukup protektif pada fase inelastis, namun analisis non linear diperlukan untuk menangkap redistribusi gaya dan drift plastis signifikan pada tanah lunak.
