Abstract

Indonesia memiliki pantai kedua terpanjang di dunia setelah Kanada. Hal tersebut menjadi keuntungan bagiIndonesia dari segi besarnya potensi energi laut. Salah satu potensi energi laut yang belum diperhatikan adalahenergi gelombang. Dari berbagai metoda Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombnag Laut (PLTGL) sertamempertimbangkan potensi yang ada, metoda benda mengapung berosilasi dengan sistem hidrolik dipilih untukdikembangkan. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui karakteristik gaya yang dihasilkan oleh pelampung diatas gelombang laut, untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai pendukung PLTGL. Studi dilakukan secara numerikmenggunakan perangkat lunak Fluent Versi 6, dalam dua dimensi, dengan menggunakan metode Volume of Fluid(VOF). Pelampung dimodelkan dengan bentuk persegi panjang, yang mempunyai tebal 1,6 m dengan panjang 6m. Gelombang dimodelkan dalam bentuk gelombang antara/dangkal (intermediate/shallow wave), dengan tinggigelombang 1,6 m dan panjang gelombang 20 m. Dari simulasi diperoleh bahwa gaya netto dalam satu perodegelombang, terjadi pada waktu t =2,5 s adalah sebesar 18.672 N. Bila dibandingkan dengan gaya apungArchimides, maka gaya angkat tersebut jauh lebih kecil.

Abstract

Sukamaju Hamlet, Sukawangi Village, Pamulihan District, Sumedang Regency, is one of the hamlet that still need guidance. Most of the residents are farmers and breeders. The livestocks mostly are sheep, dairy cattle and beef cattle. The hamlet comunity formed a farmer group, called Tunas Muda. This farmer group has various interrelated problems. Economic problems is the lack of capital. Meanwhile, the problem with infrastructure is that there is no processing machine, and no common location. The problem with management is that they do not have a good organization yet. Meanwhile, problems in marketing are the absence of featured products, and the bargaining power of farmers is very low. Through this community service program, in accordance with the fields of expertise and available resources, a chopper machine has been introduced to the Farmer Group to break the chain of problems. The direct result of this introduction is a decrease of fresh forage feed need by 35%. Meanwhile, another result of this program is the strengthening of management in the form of reorganization to strengthen the management, the preparation of a new division of tasks, as well as the construction of a common cage with a capacity of 20 sheep. With the existence of this common cage, it is hoped that it will improve organizational functions, as well as management efficiency and effectiveness. For the sustainability of this program, continuous evaluation and assistance is needed. The strengthening of organizational and financial management has been able to improve marketing. If last year's qurban season, the farmers group could sell 9 heads, this year's qurbani season could sell 15.

Abstract

Biodiesel is one of alternative energies that can be used to overcome problem caused by limited amount of fossil fuels reserved. Biodiesel can be made from rubber seed oil that has high potencies in Indonesia. The availability of rubber seed is quite much with more than 3-million-hectare rubber plantation area. The production of biodiesel from rubber seed oil has been carried out by several researchers using various methods. Therefore, this study was conducted as a review to obtain optimum operation conditions and effect of antioxidant addition in biodiesel production. Production methods of biodiesel from rubber seed oil observed in this study are esterification-transesterification, one stage transesterification, and in situ transesterification methods. Types of antioxidant added to biodiesel from rubber seed oil observed are TBHQ, D-TBHQ, BHA, BHT, PG, and OG. Esterification-transesterification was chosen as the most effective method in producing biodiesel with a minimum yield of 96.4%. Antioxidant addition of TBHQ with 1000 × 10-6 (ω) dosage was selected as the most effective to increase biodiesel induction period to become 6.41 hours, fulfilling the SNI 7182-2015 standard, which is minimum of 6 hours. Standard used as the reference for observing biodiesel parameters is SNI 7182-2015.

Abstract

Data from the Central Statistics Agency for West Java Province in the 2023 figures show that the installed electric power in 2022 is 30,196.9 MVA. Based on data from the Indonesia Energy Transition Outlook 2023, West Java Province is in the lowest classification with a percentage of 7-23%. An increase in the number of pico-hydro power plants with a low-head operating system can increase the distribution of electricity supply. Budget allocations for research are available at Polban for internal lecturers, through this scheme, the research team plans to increase the power and efficiency of vortex turbines, the 2023 research output target, an efficiency of 30% from the previous research achievement in the 2022 study of 23.8%. Current studies are carried out with variations in discharge and the number of runner stages to increase the efficiency of vortex turbines. The experimental operation is based on SNI 8277:2016, variations in discharge from 7 to 10 l/s, and the application of one and two stage 630 turbine runners. In addition to variations in discharge, loading gradually until the runner rotation stops. The results of the experimental recording of the application of the one-level 630 runner, obtained the highest efficiency occurring at a discharge of 9 l/s with an efficiency of 37%, while the experimental application of the two-level runner 630 highest efficiency occurred at the application of a discharge of 8 l/s with an efficiency of 34%. The more the discharge is added the response efficiency does not always increase.
