Abstract

Glocalization (Study Of Mothers As Socialization Agents In Introducing Contemporary Traditional Local Cuisine To Early Childhood), this research was conducted in the district of Medan Barat, Medan City. The first focus: in this study, why at an early age children tend to like fast food (Junk Food) compared to local cuisine with contemporary traditional flavors. Then, Second: knowing what drives mothers as agents of socialization in introducing contemporary traditional local culinary delights to early childhood. Third: knowing how the strategy is carried out by a mother and the local government in maintaining contemporary traditional local culinary in early childhood in the current era of globalization. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis, the data is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The theory used in this study is the theory of socialization according to Peter L. Beger which consists of mothers as agents who give birth to glocalization of traditional local culinary. The results of the study show that there are changes experienced in early childhood in generalizing traditional local cuisine among the community. In the first finding: Fast food cuisine was chosen because of the fast and unique way of serving it in its packaging to be enjoyed by these young children, as well as having a fairly expensive price to enjoy fast food once. Second: Knowledge of parents, especially a housewife or mother who has a career outside the home is also influenced by the level of education possessed by each individual, this is what makes mothers socialize to their children to keep eating nutritious foods such as traditional local culinary. And Third: The government's role has not been considered effective when viewed from the three aspects, namely: Regulator, Dynamist, and Facilitator.

Abstract

Arthrospira platensis has emerged as a promising biodiesel feedstock due to its rapid growth and substantial biomass. In efforts to reduce production costs, researchers have explored alternative media derived from livestock waste to modify conventional mediums for Arthrospira platensis cultivation. The experimental design of this research employed a Completely Randomized Design, with treatments comprising inorganic fertilizer (A), chicken manure (B), cow manure (C), and goat manure (D). The livestock manures were macerated for seven days before being utilized as A. platensis medium. The results revealed significant (p < 0.05) impacts of different media on peak growth values and biomass production, reaching 2.03 ± 0.06 g/L and 1.76 ± 0.05 g/ L, respectively for chicken manure. The highest peak lipid content was observed in A. platensis cultured in goat manure medium. This study recommends goat manure as the preferred medium for mass cultivation of A. platensis. Mass cultivation in goat manure medium yielded 1.53 kg of dried biomass, with a lipid content of 1.91% and a biodiesel yield of 1.65%. The predominant fatty acid in this biodiesel was heneicosane, constituting 26.4% of the total area.

Abstract

Background and Aim: Stunting is a growth disorder in children under five years old that can hinder physical and mental development. In Lhokseumawe City, 797 children were still enrolled in the stunting reduction program in 2024. This study aimed to improve the knowledge and capacity of Posyandu cadres through training and mentoring activities by implementing cross-sector partnership synergy as a preventive effort to address stunting. Methods: This community service activity was conducted in Blang Pulo Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe City, and completed on November 11, 2025. The study used a Collaborative Decision Making: Community-Based Methods approach with the SARAR method involving 30 Posyandu cadres. Data were collected through pre- and post-training tests and mentoring evaluations. Results: The training effectively increased participants’ knowledge, as shown by significant improvements in pre- and post-test scores with a significance level of 0.0001 (<0.05). Mentoring activities further strengthened the implementation of knowledge gained during the training. Conclusion: Training and mentoring activities for Posyandu cadres were effective in improving knowledge and strengthening the quality of basic health services at the village level. These activities also served as a community empowerment strategy in preventive efforts to reduce stunting through cross-sector partnership synergy.
