Abstract

Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease transmitted from animals and humans. The main source of brucellosis are ruminant animals such as dairy cows and sheep. Symptoms of human brucellosisis acute and non-specific that the reporting of cases are very rare. GIS-based surveillance is needed to detect Brucellosis disease patterns so that it can be made effective prevention programs, it aims to achieve optimal public health.The study was a reviewer from literature in Google and Pubmed by searching keywords are human Brucellosis, surveilance of human brucellosis and geographical information system (GIS). Based on the results of the literature searching, the use of GIS methods in human Brucellosis surveillance is still rare due to the low number of recording cases of Brucellosis in humans.Publics are also not know that brucellosis is zoonotic disease, furthermore clinical symptoms of brucellosis is acute and not specific.Surveillance of Brucellosis using GIS methods is necessary to ensure the prevention of brucellosis in animals and humans can be performed effectively in order to reach animal and human health systems are optimal.Key words : Human brucellosis, Surveillance, GIS AbstrakBrucellosis adalah penyakit yang ditularkan dari binatang ke manusia. Sumber penularan utama brucellosis adalah sapi perah dan domba. Gejala klinis brucellosis pada manusia bersifat akut dan tidak spesifik, sehingga catatan laporan kasus brucellosis di manusia sangat jarang. Surveilans yang berbasis Geographical Information System (GIS) diperlukan untuk mendeteksi brucellosis sehingga dapat menghasilkan program pencegahan yang efektif sehingga akan tercapai kesehatan masyarakat yang optimal. Kajian ini merupakan hasil dari telaah literatur hasilpenelusuran internet yang didapatkan dari Pubmed, CDC, FAO dan WHO melalui pencarian kata kunci yaitu brucellosis manusia dan GIS. Berdasarkan dari pencarian literatur, penggunaan GIS dalam surveilans manusia masih sangat jarang karena rendahnya angka pelaporan kasus brucellosis di manusia. Masyarakat belum banyak yang mengetahui potensi zoonosis dari brucellosis ditunjang gejala klinis yang ditimbulkan bersifat akut dan tidak spesifik. Surveilans brucellosis memakai metode GIS penting untuk menetapkan program pencegahan brucellosis di hewan dan manusia yang efektif agar tercapai sistem kesehatan manusia yang optimal.Kata Kunci : Brucellosis manusia, Surveilans, GIS

Abstract

Animal has an important role in research of various tuberculosis vaccine candidates in human, as it has similarities with human physiology, so the animals could provide a variety of information about the human physiology. Selection of suitable experimental animals is essential in order to achieve the research objectives. This paper outlines a wide range of experimental animals that can be used in tuberculosis vaccine development research and their advantages and disadvantages, so that the reader can determine the appropriate experimental animals to be used in tuberculosis research. This paper form reviewer literature obtained through Google and Pubmed search by keyword experimental animals for tuberculosis. The results showed that dogs and primates could be used for tuberculosis research because they have physiological function similarities to humans. However, for large scale can be selected rabbit as a choice.Key words : Experimental animals, Vaccine, Ttuberculosis AbstrakHewan coba memiliki peran penting dalam uji coba berbagai kandidat vaksin tuberculosis di manusia karena memiliki kemiripan fisiologi dengan manusia, sehingga hewan coba dapat memberikan berbagai informasi mengenai sistem fisiologi manusia. Pemilihan hewan coba yang sesuai sangat penting agar tujuan penelitian dapat tercapai. Tulisan ini menguraikan berbagai macam hewan coba yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian pengembangan vaksin TBC beserta kelebihan dan kekurangan, sehingga dapat ditentukan hewan coba yang sesuai untuk dipakai dalam penelitian tuberculosis. Tulisan ini berupa reviewer literatur yang didapatkan melalui pencarian Google dan Pubmed melalui kata kunci hewan coba untuk tuberculosis. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa anjing dan primata dapat dipakai untuk penelitian tuberculosis karena sangat memiliki kemiripan fisiologis dengan manusia. Namun untuk skala besar dapat dipilih kelinci sebagai hewan coba pilihan.Kata Kunci : Hewan coba, Vaksin, Tuberculosis

Abstract

ABSTRACTDiprosopus Monauchenos (DM) is one of congenital defect that can be caused by a genetical factor. This study was conducted to reveal the genetic mutation of DM cattle. Research showed that along 354 bp of partial BTA13 sequence (69,985,393th - 69,985,745th nucleotide) in DM and normal samples were obtained by sequencing analysis. Research showed that one insertion/deletion (indel) mutation at 28th and two transition mutations at 241th and 269th positions were detected in both samples. The obtained sequence in the present study was located at the intronic region of LPIN3 gene (69,972,281th - 69,991,534th nucleotide). In the future, a depth research to investigate the genetic mutation in DM animal with whole genome analysis is important to get the results accurately.Keywords: cattle, DM, mutations, sequencing, BTA13

Abstract

Malaria is a disease that is very old from a century ago but is still found today and is the highest cause of death in the world, especially in children. Indonesia is also still not free from malaria. The protozoan parasites that cause malaria in Indonesia are Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax, but currently the prevention of malaria in Indonesia is coupled with the presence of Simian Malaria which is zoonotic and is caused by Plasmodium knowlesi. Malaria prevention requires research in experimental animals to determine effective prevention, to know the pathogenesis of the disease, and the nature of the protozoa, and to be able to determine the appropriate antimalarial. This paper is a literature review that reviews animal models of malaria. The results of a literature search indicated that two animal models of different orders were needed to be able to determine the appropriate antimalarial and to be able to determine the nature of the protozoa in different animal models

Abstract

Indonesia's agricultural sector significantly contributes to the country's foreign exchange earnings through agricultural product exports, including livestock, plantations, and ornamental plants. However, addressing the weaknesses in free-range chickens and other livestock is crucial to sustain population levels and meet organoleptic needs. This systematic review aims to explore appropriate technology development in the livestock and agriculture sectors, focusing on feed processing, animal husbandry management, and increased production. The review includes articles from journals, books, and theses, with data sourced from Google Scholar and Pop8win using specific keywords. The results highlight the effectiveness of appropriate technology in improving feed efficiency, labor efficiency, and production in livestock and agriculture. Consequently, further research is recommended to enhance the application of appropriate technology, contributing to the sustainable development of the agriculture sector in Indonesia. Highlights: The systematic review reveals that appropriate technology positively affects feed efficiency, labor efficiency, and production in Indonesia's livestock and agriculture sectors. The application of appropriate technology in feed processing and animal husbandry management leads to significant improvements in productivity. Addressing weaknesses through appropriate technology can contribute to the sustainable development of the agriculture sector in Indonesia.
