Abstract

Lecture and teacher as a pillar that is expected to build quality research, education, analysis, and should have a high responsibility on the problems by this nation. The problem of un-ordinary research at the student level is very much found. Sometimes lecturers do not carefully analyze the originality of research guidance. Therefore, many researchers do not dare to publish the results of their work to the realm of accredited publications. Based on the understanding and several lecture models and modules that have been studied, designed, or developed, it is necessary to provide a training education college to prepare them for writing scientific papers,  that can benefit the development of professionalism. The training of reconstruction of brainstorming problem solving materials module for improving high orther thinking's chemistry college on minerals in the preparation of the final project and the ability to design plagiarism-free papers. Based on the results of the training, the college have been able to browse, and analyze the content of the chemical materials of minerals as a reference material for module development. In addition, the material in the analysis has been clarified based on the education reconstruction model,  subject matter until a basicized text has been found. Basic elementary text composite with brainstorming problem solving indicator, becomes the novelty of chemical module of minerals in the context of clay, limestone, and zeolite. The teaching material module produced is the result of the training given and the results of previous research. Keywords: Training, reconstruction module, problem solving thinking

Abstract

Masyarakat Jayapura juga tidak berbeda dengan masyarakat Indonesia pada umumnya, yaitu mengonsumsi makanan jajanan pasar hasil olahan waste oil. Masyarakat penjual maupun pembeli tak pernah sadar bahwa kondisi tersebut sangat rawan dalam pemicu penyakit kanker. Karena fokus pikiran penjaja makanan hanyalah keuntungan, dan fokus pembeli hanyalah kenikmatan mulut dan perut. Namun sebagai dosen yang berkewajiban melaksanakan tridharma perguruan tinggi, akan selalu berusaha memberikan kontribusi melalui penerapan penelitian berbasis sumber daya alam Papua. Tim pelaksana pengabdian menerapkan penelitian dengan tujuan sumber daya alam dapat digunakan sebagai bahan adsorben penjernih waste oil. Implementasi kegiatan ini, diharapkan pikiran masyarakat lebih terbuka pada resiko kesehatan akibat limbah minyak bekas.

Abstract

Bahan ajar sebagai pegangan guru kimia secara khusus di Papua, merupakan kebutuhan untuk membantu siswa dan guru melaksanakan kegiatan PBM yang lebih efektif. Guru harus fokus melihat inti pembelajaran yang akan disampaikan kepada siswa. Azas ini disebut dengan konstruksi bahan ajar berbasis kebutuhan PBM secara signifikan. Guru harus selalu peka dalam pengembangan metode agar materi PBM agar dapat tersampaikan dengan baik. Pada pengabdian ini, tim pelaksana melakukan pelatihan bahan ajar kimia konteks posfat dan kuarsa pada calon guru kimia, dan pemilihan materi disesuaikan dengan kondisi kebutuhan PBM. Pelatihan diperlukan agar calon guru kimia mempunyai modal pengetahuan bila bekerja di lapangan pendidikan. Konstruksi bahan ajar menekankan konteks materi terintegrasi berpikir penelitian. Pelatihan ini telah memberikan kontribusi sangat baik kepada peserta, karena mampu membuat bahan ajar berbasis MER. Tanggapan peserta pada pelatihan sangat positif.

Abstract

Laboratorium adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan saat memberikan materi pada proses belajar mengajar. Secara khusus bidang IPA sekolah menengah. Belajar IPA, seperti kimia, fisika, dan biologi tanpa implementasi laboratorium, dapat dikatakan pekerjaan yang mengambang. Perlunya laboratorium IPA di sekolah, telah menjadi perhatian pemerintah untuk dapat memberi fasilitas laboratorium di sekolah-sekolah. Namun tidak sedikit ditemukan guru IPA menganggap laboratorium hanya sebuah bangunan yang tidak perlu ditata secara administrasi. Sehingga PBM berbasis laboratorium tidak terlaksana dengan baik. Adanya tumpang tindih pemegang pengelolaan laboratorium guru bidang studi, mengakibatkan terjadi kesalahpahaman. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pelatihan tentang pengelolaan laboratorium yang benar kepada para guru IPA.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi secara ilmiah kepada dunia pendidikan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains di bidang kimia melalui praktikum kimia pada siswa SMAN 4 Jayapura. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 31 orang siswa dengan 4 percobaan praktikum yaitu indikator asam basa, teori asam basa, kecepatan reaksi dan pembuatan larutan. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan yang diamati, siswa melaksanakan dengan sangat serius dan antusias. Setelah pelaksanaan praktikum diberikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan sesuai dengan materi yang diberikan, hasil menunjukkan siswa mengalami peningkatan ilmiah yang sangat baik. Demikian juga tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan ini sangat positif.

Abstract

The Montessori Holistic Approach is an educational approach developed by emphasizing child-centered learning, with a focus on developing the individual potential of children through a structured learning environment and specially designed learning materials. For example, independent learning where children are given the freedom to choose learning materials according to their interests and abilities. This facilitates personal exploration and the development of a sense of responsibility. If in a specially designed environment such as a classroom designed to create a comfortable, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Learning materials are placed in an orderly manner and are easily accessible to children. Based on special learning materials by developingmaterials designed to support exploration and independent learning. These materials are concrete, interactive, and allow children to learn through direct experience. Meanwhile, the role of the teacher as a facilitator is as a facilitator, not as a dominant teacher. Teachers observe and guide children in their learning, providing support as needed. The focus on the development of the Montessori method is not only on academic development, but also on the social, emotional, and physical development of children. Children learn to work together, respect others, and develop independence. As well as absorbing thoughts, children are able to educate themselves, building knowledge through direct experience. The Montessori approach can provide positive benefits for students, namely improving cognitive abilities, such as problem solving and critical thinking, developing independence, self-confidence, and motivation to learn, improving social and emotional abilities, such as cooperation and empathy. So it can be said that the Montessori approach offers a unique and effective educational approach, which focuses on developing the potential of individual children holistically.
