Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi informasi pada saat ini mencakup hampir semua bidang dalam kehidupan manusia.  Seperti halnya dalam bidang perpustakaan perkembangan teknologi informasi telah merambah dunia ini. Peranan teknologi informasi dalam bidang perpustakaan mengakibatkan adanya komputerisasi dalam segala kegiatan perpustakaan. Perkembangan teknologi ini memberi efek yang postif untuk dunia perpustakaan, salah satunya adalah dibangunnya suatu sistem informasi yang dapat diakses oleh siapa saja dan dimana saja. Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan, PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, control, Eficiency, dan Service)

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how to digitally natively in finding information to fulfill their duties. The results of this study will provide a discourse for librarians to understand the character of users and to improve the quality of excellent service. The approach uses the Ellis, Cox and Hall information behavior model. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that respondents prefer to go straight to the shelf without looking at the catalog first, using the internet as a companion information source. Respondents use the internet as a means to seek entertainment and social networking. The second respondent in the search for information on the use of the internet as an information source is more dominant than the library.

Abstract

Perpustakaan, lembaga arsip dan museum adalah tiga tempat yang berbeda, namun sebenarnya ketiganya mempunyai fungsi sama yaitu mengelola dan menyebarkan informasi. Perbedaan utama dari ketiganya adalah media yang dikelola, di mana perpustakaan dengan media buku,  arsip dengan surat penting,  dan museum dengan benda-benda pentingnya. Sebagai pengelola dan penyebar informasi masing-masing lembaga tersebut mempunyai sejarah masa lalu,  masa kini dan masa yang akan datang.  Perpustakaan pada zaman dahulu hanya menghimpun koleksi tercetak, kini perpustakaan sudah menggoleksi bahan perpustakaan dalam berbagai media dan sudah tersambung dengan jaringan internet. Perpustakaan masa depan adalah tempat yang bisa diakses oleh pemakainya sepanjang waktu dan tempat yang menyenangkan.  Lembaga kearsipan dahulu adalah tempat menyimpan arsip dalam bentuk kertas dan akan dimusnahkan sesuai dengan jadwal retensinya. Lembaga kearsipan saat ini sudah dikelola dengan menggunakan teknologi informasi dikenal dengan arsip elektronik yang disimpan dalam pangkalan data sehingga dapat menghemat tempat. Image museum pada masyarakat pada zamand ahulu adalah tempat menyimpan artefak dan benda peninggalan zaman kuno, sehingga terkesan 5K (kaku, kusam, kotor, klenik dan kasihan).Museum saat ini sudah berbenah dengan mengimplementasikan teknologi informasi untuk menarik pengunjung. Saat ini banyak perguruan tinggi yang menggabungkan tigains lembaga ini dalam satu gedung namun untuk konsep layanannya tetap sesuai dengan kaidah masing-masing lembaga (perpustakaan, lembaga arsip dan musem).

Abstract

The formation of quality Human Resources is a final step that must be taken to face the challenges in the industrial era 4.0, which do not only rely on academic abilities; the quality of human resources of Indonesia's young generation also needs to be boosted through various soft skills to improve emotional intelligence which will be able to bring the Indonesian nation as a winning nation in the future. One of the most important soft skills is public speaking. This paper describes the importance of public speaking strategies for elementary school students to be able to compete in improving their quality. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection elaborates more deeply on public speaking strategies through interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects in this study were 61 students and 15 teachers of Ma'had Permata Islam. The results of this study are strategies that can be done to equip public speaking elementary school students by improving speaking skills, critical thinking skills, improving self-quality, getting used to speaking in front of crowds, and preparing themselves. Public speaking for elementary school students is the practice of using learning by doing, where students are trained to be confident and dare to come forward and express opinions. Equipping elementary school students with knowledge of public speaking skills to be fully confident when presenting themselves to the public as a basis for character building and life skills.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of records management practices at five Islamic State Universities and Colleges (PTKINs) located in Central Java and Yogyakarta, utilizing a qualitative research approach. The examination reveals considerable diversity in records management practices across the five PTKINs. This variation can be attributed to disparities in the interpretation of policies by each institutional stakeholder regarding the significance of effective and systematic records management. The divergent policies in place also influence the support systems available. The primary differentiator among these institutions lies in their instruments, serving as the foundational framework for handling records. Following the record management model, specifically ANRI Head Regulation Number 24 of 2011, which provides guidelines for organizing records in higher education, two of the studied PTKINs, namely IAIN Kudus and UIN Walisongo, have fully implemented the four pillars outlined in the regulation. However, persisting challenges stem from a limited comprehension of records management among the human resources involved, emphasizing a critical aspect that requires focused attention.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the availability collections of Library Center of IAIN Surakarta, and the factors that influence the availability of materials teaching for Islamic Counseling and Guidance Study Programme. This research is a qualitative and quantitative methode. Data analysis was carried out using the checklist and interview. Based on the research, 49,5% availability collections for institute level courses, and 44.7% for departement level. Based on the findings research, Library Center of IAIN Surakarta collections has not fulfilled the need for compulsory teaching materials. This is caused by several factors: the procurement of library materials is carried out only once a year; low provision of funds for library; and the lack of coordination and cooperation between Library Center of IAIN Surakarta managers and study programs in the determination of proposed titles book.

Abstract

Abstract English version, written using Times New Roman-11, italic. The abstract contains This study aims to determine the role of libraries in the research process in 2022 at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta and UNS. This can be seen from the availability of collections from all references used by researchers for research and other supporting factors. This study uses a mixed quantitative-qualitative method. The quantitative data collection technique uses primary data which is the result of research by lecturers and certain functional positions with sampling based on the Isaac and Michael table with an error rate of 10%, namely 27 at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta and 217 for UNS research. While for qualitative research, observation, interviews and documentation are carried out. The study found that the library at UIN Surakarta has not yet functioned as a Research Library. This is indicated by the availability of book collections supporting research in 2022, which was only 27%, a relatively low percentage. Additionally, in terms of library support for research, many services have not yet been provided. Meanwhile, the UNS Library was found to have played a moderate role (44%) in supporting lecturers' research and specific functional positions in 2022. This role was supported by the availability of facilities, infrastructure, various training programs, and supporting data provided by the library. Library support for lecturers’ and specific functional positions’ research at UIN Raden Mas Said remains low, both in terms of collections and services. Meanwhile, the support provided by the UNS Library for research in 2022 is categorized as moderate, both in terms of services and collections

Berkembangnya situs jejaring sosial telah membentuk fenomena baru. Fenomena yang dikenal dengan istilah komunitas maya. Istilah ini digunakan untuk mengacu kepada fenomena yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kecenderungan terbentuknya komunitas-komunitas tertentu dalam dunia maya yang digunakan sebagai wahana bersosialisasi di antara anggotanya.
