Abstract

Artikel ini mempresentasikan rancang bangun pengereman dinamik dan hasil pengujiannya pada prototype mobil listrik yang dibangun di Jurusan Teknik Elektro Politeknik Negeri Samarinda. Pengereman dinamik dilakukan dengan mengatur nilai tahanan variable yang kedua ujungnya dihubungkan dengan motor untuk mendapatkan rangkaian lup tertutup. Pengujian dilakukan dengan tiga cara. Pada cara pertama dan kedua, mobil diuji secara stasioner di Laboratorium Jurusan Teknik Elektro. Pengujian pertama dilakukan ketika motor DC penggerak mobil tidak dibebani. Pada cara kedua, motor DC dihubungkan dengan roda bagian belakang dengan menggunakan rantai dan gir. Agar roda bergerak dengan bebas, bagian bawah mobil diganjal. Pada pengujian ketiga, beban adalah badan mobil secara keseluruhan dan seorang supir. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mengukur jarak yang ditempuh ketika rem dengan tiga resistansi berbeda diaktifkan pada kecepatan 9 m/detik. Pada pengujian pertama, dengan putaran konstan sebesar 3000 rpm dan nilai tahanan tertinggi sebesar 365 Ω didapat waktu pengereman hingga poros motor berhenti selama 3.13 detik. Untuk nilai tahanan 60 Ω diperoleh waktu pengereman 1.61 detik. Pada pengujian kedua, di mana kecepatan putar dikonversi menjadi kecepatan, diperoleh bahwa dengan kecepatan 9 m/s dan tahanan tertinggi sebesar 365 Ω, waktu pengeremannya mencapai 5.54 detik. Untuk nilai tahanan 60 Ω diperoleh waktu pengereman 3.336 detik. Untuk pengujian ketiga, mobil diuji saat dijalankan di area datar di kampus Politeknik. Dengan menggunakan tiga jenis nilai tahanan yaitu: 90 Ω, 70 Ω, dan 50 Ω, jarak mobil dari saat pertama pengereman hingga berhenti berturut-turut adalah: 38.3 m, 32.3 m, 18.2 m.

Abstract

Embalut power plant is one of the power plants that supply electricity in East Kalimantan. The plant which is operated by PT. Cahaya Fajar Kaltim, has one PLTU unit with a capacity of 2x25 MW and another with the capacity of 1x60 MW. As an electricity company that must keep continuity of electric supply to customers, a reliable electrical system is necessary. Such reliable system requires protection system to detect a problem and avoid electrical equipment damage. A proper protection system should isolate the affected area and prevent black out on the other area. A type of problem may occur is a short circuit. This study analyzes the performance of overcurrent relays in 1 × 60 MW power plant unit. The analysis was performed through ETAP 12.6.0 software which was also used to design the single line diagrams, calculate the setting currents of short circuit current, also to simulate the coordination of several overcurrent relays in the system. Adjustment of the current and time value in the overcurrent relay is obtained from the result of manual calculations. The results then are displayed in the form of a characteristic curve. Afterwards, a simulation is performed in a situation where three-phase short circuit occurs at BFWP 1.3 Bus, TR AUX.3 Bus and TR 3A.3 Bus. The results show that the overcurrent relays work properly and could overcome the problem quickly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine Power Quality at Samarinda State Polytechnic Electrical Installation. Measures of power quality include voltage and current imbalances, harmonics, power factors, voltage dip / swell and sag, and flicker. The research location was the Samarinda State Polytechnic Campus. The research was conducted by conducting direct measurements using a Power Quality Analyzer and the measurement results were compared with existing standards such as the IEEE-519 standard or the NEMA standard ((National Equipment Manufacturer's Association) about voltage imbalances. Data retrieval is done by direct measurement on installation panels in several units such as Distribution Substation, Building Directorate, Electrical Engineering Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Machine Workshop, and Electrical Workshop. The measurement results show that voltage / current fluctuations occur but are still within the permissible limits, ranging from 228 to 242 Volt. The imbalance of voltage is still below 2% and this still meets the permitted standard. While the harmonic content still meets the standards, which is still below 5%, which is only around 2.4%. To measure overall quality, data is obtained from measurements on Distribution Station Panel on side s secondary from 20kV / 380V TM Transformer 555KVA and from TM 20kV / 380 Transformer 159 kVA. Measurements are carried out for approximately 1 day 24 hours starting at around 5:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the following afternoon.
