Abstract

Seiring berkembangnya zaman, pengembangan teknologi tidak perlu diragukan lagi kecanggihannya. Bahkan, penggunaan teknologi sudah dianggap sebagai kebutuhan pokok. Salah satu bukti bahwa teknologi sudah berkembang yaitu dengan adanya media sosial yang sudah umum digunakan oleh para khalayak. Media sosial sebagai sarana umum, sudah sepatutnya digunakan untuk hal yang positif seperti berdakwah. Dakwah sendiri memiliki arti mengajak atau menyeru kepada kebaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana dakwah pada mahasiswa KPI STAI Persis Bandung. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sebagai pelengkap, penulis juga menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan pembahasan berupa adanya mahasiswa yang memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana dakwah. Melalui konten-konten yang mereka sajikan melalui media sosial, terdapat respon positif yang diberikan oleh para followers individu yang penulis wawancarai. Dari penelitian ini, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media sosial efektif digunakan sebagai media penyampaian dakwah.

Abstract

Office administration is a managerial function that plays a strategic role in supporting the smooth operation of organizations. This study aims to analyze the role of office administration in improving work productivity and facilitating interdepartmental coordination, as well as identifying factors that support the effectiveness of office administration in enhancing organizational performance. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted descriptively with a focus on interpreting the meaning of the role of office administration in organizational life. The results show that neat and structured administration can simplify workflows, reduce task duplication, and accelerate decision-making processes, thereby directly impacting the productivity improvement of individuals and teams. Administration also functions as a formal communication medium that facilitates interdepartmental coordination through fast and accurate information distribution. Factors supporting the effectiveness of office administration include the quality of human resources, utilization of information technology, and good document management. The conclusion of this study is that office administration has a strategic role in creating work efficiency and building synergy between units so that organizational goals can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

The K-Pop phenomenon has changed the communication patterns between idols and fans through specialized social media platforms like Weverse. This study aims to analyze the communication patterns formed between fans and K-Pop idols through the Weverse platform. The study used a qualitative approach with a content analysis method to communication activities on Weverse for one month, including live streaming features, comment and reply systems, and Artist Posts. The results of the study showed that communication on Weverse has multidimensional characteristics that combine vertical interaction between idol-fans and horizontal interaction between fans. Live streaming generates informative, emotional-expressive, and performative responses with a systematic comment selection pattern. The platform manages to create the illusion of closeness through everyday content and direct greetings, but accessibility remains strategically controlled. The main findings confirm the transformation of parasocial relationships in the digital age into hybrid parasocial relationships that have real interactivity elements but remain asymmetrical. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the understanding of the evolution of mass communication towards a hybrid form of communication that combines elements of broadcasting, interpersonal communication, and community interaction in a digital ecosystem.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes to modern office administration management. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Office Administration Information Systems as an effort to modernize management in improving efficiency and service quality. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach in an office organization. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with employees directly involved in using the system, observations of administrative processes, and documentation related to system implementation. The research results show that the implementation of Office Administration Information Systems has proven to significantly improve time efficiency and data accuracy. This system facilitates employees in performing administrative tasks such as archive management, processing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and report preparation. Manual processes that previously took a long time can be replaced with faster and more structured automated processes. However, this implementation also faces several challenges, particularly regarding employee training needs and the adaptation process to technological changes. This study concludes that Office Administration Information Systems represent a strategic step in office management modernization that provides significant benefits in the form of improved operational efficiency and reduced human error in administrative processes.

Abstract

Technological developments have brought new innovations in Islamic da'wah through Instagram social media. This research aims to analyze the elements and principles of visual communication design and da'wah communication models on the Instagram account @dailymuslimahindonesia. Da'wah that previously relied on conventional methods has now transformed by utilizing attractive visual design to convey Islamic messages to the younger generation. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods with content analysis techniques to examine visual content and communication models applied. Primary data was obtained through observation of Instagram posts and interviews with the account founder, while secondary data came from literature studies and documentation. Analysis was conducted based on visual communication design theory and Harold Lasswell's communication model. The results show that @dailymuslimahindonesia posts have fulfilled the elements of visual communication design including typography, lines, colors, textures, light-dark contrast, size, and form, as well as the principles of balance, emphasis, rhythm, and unity. This account has also implemented the five elements of Lasswell's communication model completely: who (Daily Muslimah Indonesia as communicator), says what (da'wah messages based on Quran, hadith, self-reminders, and sunnah fasting calendar), in which channel (Instagram platform), to whom (88 thousand followers from various backgrounds), and with what effect (positive feedback in the form of hijrah motivation and religious discussions). The research concludes that the combination of visual communication design with Islamic da'wah messages can be an effective medium for spreading religious values in the digital era, particularly in reaching the younger generation through attractive and easily understood visual content.

Abstract

Emojis have become essential elements in digital communication as substitutes for paralinguistic cues absent in written text. However, emoji meanings are not universal and can differ across cultures, potentially causing misinterpretation in cross-cultural online interactions. This study aims to explain how emojis are used as emotional markers in cross-cultural online conversations, identify situations when emojis clarify communicative intentions, and explore conditions that trigger misunderstandings. The research employs a multi-case study design with a digital ethnography approach. Participants were purposively selected from two to three different cultural backgrounds who actively communicate through messaging platforms and social media. Data collection was conducted through consensual conversation recordings over one to two weeks, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and reflective notes regarding emoji usage contexts. Data analysis utilized thematic analysis and pragmatic discourse analysis to identify emoji functions across cultures and platforms. Research findings indicate that emojis function as face-work strategies that soften instructions, signal humorous intent, and provide emotional cushioning for criticism. Cultural differences influence emoji usage patterns, with harmony-emphasizing cultures tending to use gentle emojis for mitigation, while direct cultures use emojis as mood indicators without softening obligations. Misunderstandings emerge when politeness norms, relational contexts, and hierarchies are interpreted differently by senders and receivers. The study recommends establishing emoji usage norms within cross-cultural communities or work teams to reduce ambiguity and strengthen emoji functions as emotional bridges in online communication.

Abstract

Generation Z experiences friendship in a hybrid space that combines online and face-to-face interactions. Digital platform culture with various social metrics creates new dynamics in friendship relations, generating tensions between authenticity and performativity, closeness and privacy, as well as support and social fatigue. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of friendship among Generation Z which cannot be separated from the digital context, as well as provide insight into the complexities and challenges they face in building social relationships in the social media era. The research employs a qualitative approach with a multi-case design. Informants aged 18 to 26 years were selected purposively to represent variations in gender, social background, and platform usage patterns. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, light digital ethnography, and daily journals of friendship interactions over one week. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis through open coding, category grouping, and cross-case theme extraction. Research findings indicate that friendship is defined as a safe space for self-expression, exchanging emotional support, learning, and collaborating. Relations move bidirectionally between digital platforms and physical meetings that mutually reinforce each other. Generation Z manages authenticity through audience settings, alternative accounts, and privacy boundary negotiations. Social metrics function as signals of care but also trigger comparison anxiety. Algorithms and platform culture influence the intensity and depth of interactions. This study concludes that Generation Z friendship constitutes a support network and identity formation arena that is consciously managed, requiring digital literacy and balance between online and offline interactions to prevent performative burden.
