Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the factors influencing students’ self-leadership, particularly through participation in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program and an industrial internship. Therefore, this study seeks to address this gap by analyzing the role of MBKM and industrial internship experiences in enhancing students’ self-leadership.Methodology – This study employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 4.0. Data were collected using a previously validated closed-ended questionnaire. The study population consisted of students at Sebelas Maret University enrolled in the MBKM program. The sampling technique employed was convenience sampling. A total of 115 respondents were recruited for the study.Findings – This study confirms several factors that appear to influence students’ self-leadership. A direct relationship confirms that both the MBKM program and industrial internship programs can enhance students’ self-leadership. Other findings indicate an indirect relationship whereby the MBKM program influences self-leadership through the industrial internship.Contribution – This study provides new insights into the factors that enhance students’ self-leadership. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, designed to provide real-world experience through direct workplace engagement, has proven effective in enhancing students’ self-leadership skills

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether or not there is (1) the influence of the teachers’ pedagogical competence on the learning outcomes; (2) the influence of students’ communication competence on the learning outcomes; (3) the influence of teacher’s pedagogical competence and students’ communication competence on the learning outcomes. This study used a saturated sampling technique or census because the population was less than 100 students, so the samples in this study were all students of grade XI of Office Administration Expertise Program of State Vocational High School 6 of Surakarta, which involved 95 students in total. The result of the study were as follows (1) there was an influence of the teacher’s pedagogical competence on the learning outcome of Public Relation Administration and Protocol Course based on the value of rcount > rtable which was 0.523 >0.202; (2) the was an influence of students’ communication competence on the learning outcomes of Public Relation Administration and Protocol Course based on the value of rcount > rtable which was 0.400 > 0.202; (3) there was an influence of the teacher’s pedagogical competence and student’s communication competence in the learning outcomes of Public Relation Administration and Protocol Course based on the value of Fcount > Ftable which is 20.978 > 3.095. The contribution of the teacher’s pedagogical competence and student’s communication competence to the learning outcomes of Public Relation Administration and Protocol Course was 31.3%.

Abstract

Kata kunci : interaktivitas; kebutuhan peserta didik; kurikulum merdeka; teknologi pembelajaran; kesiapan belajarAbstract: This research aims to (1) produce a differentiated learning media product based on multi-platform QR Codes, and (2) determine the effectiveness of the differentiated learning media product based on multi-platform QR Codes in accommodating student differences in  merdeka curriculum. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, referring to the 4D development model modified to only reach the develop stage. The data used in this development research is mix data. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and interviews, which will be analyzed using qualitative model (reduction, display, and conclusion drawing). The validity of the data will be tested using data triangulation techniques and quantitative validation of the media, materials, and learning devices, as well as responses from teachers and students. Validation was conducted by two experts. The product was tested on 29 students. The results of this research are: (1) The development of differentiated learning media based on multi-platform QR Codes using the modified 4D model, which includes define, design, and develop stages. In the develop stage, the learning media was tested using various applications to support interactivity and accessibility. Abstract

This study investigates how teacher leadership supports Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Indonesian vocational high schools from students’ perspectives. Specifically, it examines the effects of instructional, servant, and transformational leadership on students’ perceptions of sustainability-oriented learning practices. Unlike previous studies, which have primarily focused on principal leadership or individual leadership approaches, this study integrates instructional, transformational, and servant leadership into a unified model to explain ESD implementation from students’ perspectives. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected through an online questionnaire completed by 779 vocational high school students in Central Java and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that instructional leadership (β = 0.404), transformational leadership (β = 0.243), and servant leadership (β = 0.157) each have significant positive effects on sustainability-oriented education, collectively explaining 52.9% of the variance. Instructional leadership emerged as the strongest predictor, suggesting that lesson design, the facilitation of critical thinking, constructive feedback, and effective classroom practices are central to embedding ESD values in vocational education. The findings imply that professional development programs for vocational teachers should integrate pedagogical, inspirational, and ethical leadership competencies to strengthen ESD implementation. The study is limited by its cross-sectional design, reliance on student self-reports, convenience sampling, and regional focus. Therefore, future research should employ longitudinal, qualitative, and multi-stakeholder approaches to provide stronger evidence regarding causal relationships and contextual factors influencing ESD implementation.
