Abstract

This article presents research results on tourist accommodation available in Batur geotourism: a host-tourist approach. It is developed based on a documentary study. There are four main studies on Batur conducted earlier which reports were assessed that are relevant to discover the match of tourist needs and the availability of tourist accommodation in Batur geotourism area. This qualitative research using secondary data which was conducted in an effort to find a solution to the issue of a short tourist stays in Batur. The assessment results show three matched types of accommodation that highly compatible between guest-accommodation available in Batur and tourists’ needs for accommodation. These includes homestay covering basic and functional accommodation; moderate standard accommodation including the villa, guest house, and two/three-star hotel; and luxury accommodation inclusive tourist attractions comprising boutique hotel. This concludes that the short tourist stays in the area is not due to the unavailability of accommodation. Further assessment is required to discover the solution to the matter. The problems might lie on the lack of information and promotion or the limited tourist attractions and activities available in Batur; that require further action from the management of Batur tourism as well as the government of Bangli Regency to address the issue. It is expected that these study results could be used as a reference by Batur geotourism management to further develop the area. Keywords: Accommodation, Community-based tourism, Geotourism, Geotourism products, Geotourists, tourist stays.

Abstract

This study aims to explore innovative transformations in human resource management relevant to career development and employee performance improvement in organizations implementing hybrid work systems. The primary focus of this research is the integration of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), HR process automation, and dynamic career approaches that adapt to the demands of flexible work. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and documentation study to identify current human resource management practices in hybrid organizations. Data were obtained from academic literature, such as relevant scientific journal articles, and then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The study results indicate that organizations that successfully adapt to hybrid work generally implement technology- and data-driven human resource management strategies, such as automated recruitment, adaptive online training, and digital performance management systems. The implementation of these innovations contributes to higher employee engagement, sustainable career development, and overall productivity improvements. Furthermore, active employee involvement in the managerial innovation process has been shown to strengthen organizational loyalty and resilience. This study concludes that innovative transformations in human resource management are key to supporting organizational success in the hybrid work era. Abstract

The food court at Jimbaran, Bali, is a vibrant culinary hub offering a diverse array of local and international cuisines. This study explores the culinary experiences within the food court, examining visitor preferences, food variety, and the cultural significance of the dishes. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the research incorporates direct observations, interviews with food vendors and visitors, and thematic analysis of the available culinary options. The findings highlight a unique blend of traditional Balinese cuisine, Indonesian specialties, and international dishes catering to both local and foreign tourists. Popular choices include seafood grills, Balinese lawar, and globally influenced street food-style offerings. Additionally, the study identifies key factors contributing to customer satisfaction, such as food quality, pricing, ambiance, and service. The research concludes that Jimbaran’s food court is more than a dining space—it serves as a cultural attraction reflecting Bali’s dynamic culinary landscape. The fusion of traditional and modern flavours enhances its appeal, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. Future research could examine the impact of culinary tourism on local businesses and the sustainability of food sourcing in commercial dining spaces.
