<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of political trust on participation in student movements by involving political efficacy as a mediator. This research is a quantitative study involving 123 students from the Islamic University "45" Bekasi, Gunadarma University Bekasi, STMIK Bani Saleh, and STIE Mulia Pratama. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster sampling. Methods of data collection using interviews and questionnaires. The psychological measurement scale used is the political trust scale, the political efficacy scale, and the participation scale in the student movement. The reliability test of the psychological measurement scale using theformula Cronbach Alpha resulted in a value of r = 0.897 for the scale political trust, the value of r = 0.849 for the scale political efficacy, and the value of r = 0.907 for the scale of participation in student movements. This study involvedpath analysiswith significance testing to test the effect of political efficacy as a mediator variable (intervening) through testing of three regression models. Model 1 shows that the direct effect political trust towards participation in the student movement at -0475, ρ>0.05. While the model 2 shows that the indirect effect political trust towards participation in the student movement involves amediator variable politicalefficacy of -0299, ρ>0.05. This shows that thecoefficient has indirect effect decreased in value but remains significant, so the form of mediation is partial mediation. This means that the independent variable is able to influence the dependent variable directly or indirectly by involving the mediator variable. Penelitian ini bertujuan unjtuk mengetahui pengaruh political trustterhadap partisipasi dalam gerakan mahasiswa dengan melibatkan political efficacy sebagai mediator. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif melibatkan 123 mahasiswa yang berasal dari Universitas Islam “45” Bekasi, Universitas Gunadarma Bekasi, STMIK Bani Saleh, dan STIE Mulia Pratama. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cluster randon sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan kuesioner. Skala pengukuran psikologi yang digunakan adalah skala political trust, skala political efficacy, dan skala partisipasi dalam gerakan mahasiswa. Uji reliabilitas skala pengukuran psikologi menggunakan formula Alpha Cronbachmenghasilkan nilai r= 0.897 untuk skala political trust, nilai r= 0.849 untuk skala political efficacy, dan nilai r= 0.907 untuk skala partisipasi dalam gerakan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan pengujian signifikansi untuk menguji pengaruh political efficacy sebagai variabel mediator (intervening) melalui uji tiga model regresi. Model 1 menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh langsung (direct effect) political trust terhadap partisipasi dalam gerakan mahasiswa sebesar -0.475, ρ<0.05. Sedangkan model 2 menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh tidak langsung (indirect effect) political trust terhadap partisipasi dalam gerakan mahasiswa melibatkan variabel mediator political efficacy sebesar -0.299, ρ<0.05. Hal ini menunjukkan koefisien indirect effect nilainya turun tetapi tetap signifikan maka bentuk mediasi adalah mediasi sebagian (partial mediation). Artinya variabel independen mampu mempengaruhi secara langsung variabel dependen maupun tidak langsung dengan melibatkan variabel mediator.]]>
