Abstract

The issue of this study is not all of employee increased their performance as time goes by. It shown from the sum of complains and the rate of employee absent in PDAM Tirta Amerta Blora Regency which having a quite significant fluctuation in each month of 2014 and 2015.Based on Rahmatullah (2003) in Setiyawan nad Waridin (2006) performance is influenced by 3 base factors, which one of them is individual factor which include work disipline and motivation.The aim for this study is to examine the effect of work discipline and motivation toward employee’s work. This study using explanatory research method. Population of this study are all of the employee of PDAM Tirta Amerta Blora Regency, with total 103 employee, using sampling method of Slovin 10% formula, thus the final sample used are 51 employees. The collection of data technique is using questionnaire through the test of validity and reability, advance interview and observation. Data is analyzed using linear and multiple regression, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, t- test and f-test using SPSS ver. 20 program.The result of this study show that work discipline toward work employee have intermediate correlation with rate 0,476. The determination coefficient (R2) of work discipline to employee’s work are 22,7%. Motivation toward employee’s work have intermediate correlation with rate 0,576. The determination coefficient (R2) of work motivation to employee’s work are 33,1%. Simultanously, work discipline and motivation give positive effects toward employee’s work with F count (12,901) > F table (3,187) with signification 0,000 < 0,05. The conclusion of this study is work discipline and motivation give positive effect toward PDAM Tirta Amerta Blora Regency employee’s workRecommendation for the company to improving employee’s work, company need to improve their attention toward employee work discipline and motivation thus it can improbe employee’s work..

Abstract

Low employee commitment causes negative effect to a company. With a low commitment, the employee is not dedicated, has the potential to make mistakes, disappoint customers and intending to leave the company. Work commitment of the employee in Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang has fluctuated, it can be seen from the data of performance appraisal employee.This purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variable compensation and career development on the employees work commitment on Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang. This type of research is explanatory research. The sample used 60 respondents who are permanent employees and contract employees. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Methods of data analysis using correlation, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and f with IBM SPSS program 20. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the compensation and career development positively affects the work commitment through testing simple linear regression produce regression value of 0.969 and 0.776. The advice given to the company are to evaluate the compensation system and to provide greater career opportunities to employees, especially in providing promotions and job rotation.

Abstract

A very tight competition requires business managers to create new models in themanagement of the flow of products and information. Because of the presence of the smoothsupply of raw materials Windika Utama PT Semarang can maximize the production process sothat the volume of products sold can be increased. In practice, the supply chain is stronglyinfluenced by suppliers. With the existence of other companies that affect the production processhas become a liability Windika Utama PT Semarang to establish a qualified cooperation.Communication is seen as the most important element for the success of the relationship betweencompanies due to the proven fact that the relationship between the companies always involvescommunication. With the existence of different suppliers means companies need to makeadjustments in the field because every supplier certainly have different characteristics such as howto communicate, the ability of the supplier itself, and the quality of the raw materials areproduced. The quality of good cooperation between the company and suppliers will also have animpact on production processes in the company. This study was followed by analysis to know isthere any influence of communication, the characteristics of the company, and the quality ofcooperation on the performance of the supply chain. This research is a quantitative research with102 respondents in the sample supplier companies in West Java, Central Java and East Java.Data collecting conducted by questionnaire and interview methods. Using the coefficient ofdetermination analysis, multiple regression, and Sobel test performs data processing. Results ofthe study obtained is the relationship of communication variables to variable performance of thesupply chain through the variable quality of the partnership is a relationship of completemediation because that affects the variable performance of the supply chain only variable jobsatisfaction as mediating variables while the relationship between variable characteristicssupplier to variable performance of the supply chain through the variable quality cooperation ispartially mediated the relationship this is due to the occurrence of a significant relationshipbetween the variables of the supplier of the performance characteristics of the supply chain aswell as a significant correlation between the quality of cooperation on the performance of thesupply chain. Advice given to PT Windika Utama Semarang to improve supply chain performanceis to establish good communication with suppliers.

Abstract

Employee is a main asset who have an important role in the development and the future of thecompany. One factor that determined employee’s performance is job satisfaction. Job satisfaction atPatra Jasa Semarang Convention Hotel has been fluctuated. It can be seen from absenteeism andemployees performance evaluation.The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of work behavior and participative leadershipstyle to job satisfaction at permanent employees Patra Jasa Semarang Convention Hotel. The type of thisresearch is explanatory with the number of respondents were 108 permanent employees. The samplingmethod using saturated sampling technique. The analytical method in this study are correlationcoefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test, F testand classical assumption with the help of IBM SPSS program.The results of this study are positive corelation between of work behavior and participative leadershipstyle to work behavior partially and simultaneously. Based on the results of the regression analysis, it isknown that the variable behavior of labor and participative leadership style influence on job satisfactionwith a coefficient of 0.209 and 0.608. The advice given to the company is the company must considercultural approaching to motivate the employee to understand the command of leader and there is neededa teamwork and good comunication between leader and employee.

Abstract

The increasing of people’s mobility encourages the high demand for transportation services. The competition between modes of transportation specially land transportation is very keen. One of transportations that became the choice of Indonesian people to do their activities is a bus. The number of PO. Nusantara’s passengers has decreased since 2014 – 2016. In 2014 to 2015 the number of passenger decreased by 5.01% and in 2015 to 2016 decreased by 6.34%. This study is aimed to identify the effect of brand image and service quality to decision of using P.O Nusantara executive class by route of Semarang-Jakarta. The type of research is explanatory research. The sample used is 100 respondents. The sampling techniques is purposive and accidental sampling. The technique analysis are crosstab, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test with the SPSS program. The result showed that there is a positive influence between brand image and service quality toward usage decision. Based on the results of simple regression analysis, it is known that brand image has influence on usage decision with coefficient of 0,229, while service quality influence usage decision of 0.100. This research recommends PO. Nusantara to strengthen its brand image by renewing the bus design so that consumers are able to clearly distinguish bus of PO. Nusantara with competitor bus. Improvements of service quality are also required, especially the timeliness of departure and arrival time, and also the cleanliness and cosiness of the departure lounge.

Abstract

This study is about the Work Environment Influence and Compensation Section on Employee Satisfaction Services Department at PT Astra International, Tbk - Daihatsu Branch Office Semarang. This research was done due to the problems related to employee’s satisfaction predicted caused by the work environment and compensation . The objective of this study was to determine the influence of the work environment and compensation to employee satisfaction both partially and simultaneously. With this research, it can be taken a policy about work environment and compensation so that the company's goals can be achieved with optimal.The type of research is explanatory research. The population in this study were employees of the service department both general service and body repair as many as 40 people. Sampling technique used is the census so that the entire population is used as a sample. Thus technique sample used as many as 40 people. Data collection techniques are, interview and observation. The results of this study showsthatwork environment and compensation influenced on job satisfaction, partially or simultaneously. The result obtain by analyzing data with validity test, reliability test, t test, F test, the coefficient of determination and regression analysis. Calculations in this study using SPSS for Windows. Advice given is the company should maintain and improve the work environment that is both the physical environment, this is done by modulating the temperature in the work room so that it can support employees in work, set the level of noise, coloration that gives a fresh impression, relations between employees the fraternal relations between superiors and subordinates who can run well. Compensation is considered both direct and indirect compensation so that employees will be more satisfied in their work and performance will increase. Similar studies will be needed to add the variables apart from existing variables such as leadership, organizational culture, organizational commitment, work culture and work motivation that research on job satisfaction have become more perfect.

Abstract

The low of customer satisfaction gives an impact, both for the consumers and producers. For the consumer, the low of customer satisfaction led to customers being disappointed and select the products or services offered by the competitors. As for the producers, the low of customer satisfaction affects the volume of sales. The number of ISP Mobile Telkomsel Flash customers, especially in the city of Semarang seen from data on the number of customers has fluctuated.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality and price to customer satisfaction Telkomsel Flash. This type of research is explanatory research. Samples were set at 97 respondents who are students of undergraduate programme FISIP UNDIP using snowball sampling technique. The techniques of data analysis using validity test, reliability test, crosstab analysis, correlation coefficient, multiple correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, significance test (t-test), and a simultaneous test (F-test) were processed using SPSS programme 20th version.Based on the analysis, the quality of service and price has an influence on customer satisfaction, either partially or simultaneously. The variable of price provide a greater influence on customer satisfaction amounted to 65,2% of the variable quality of service amounted to 41,3%.Suggestions for PT. Telkomsel Regional Central Java and Yogyakarta as a service provider Telkomsel Flash is to improve the quality of services provided, particularly in terms of the distribution of quotas are balanced, both national quotas and quota based zone region when doing activation and policies to raise the price, expected according to the purchasing power of customers and services rendered so as to provide more value for customers.

Abstract

The increase in Rupiah exchange rate against the Dollar during the last 5 years go up significantly, but sales of Apple's smartphone experience fluctuations in the beginning down from 2012 to 2013, but again took place from 2013 to 2015. The purpose of this research is to know the influences between the variable pricing and varaiabel brand image against a decision of purchase Iphone on student and political science undip Semarang. The type of research used was explanatory research and sample used amounted to 100 students who purchase the Iphone product. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and accidental sampling. The result of the discussion note that price and brand image influences the purchasing decisions as evidenced by regression analysis calculation of 0.727. While the brand image variables affect the brand image of 0.500 against purchasing decisions. However the variable brand image is more dominated by the results of a multiple regression test with 0.524 while the variable rates only 0.184.

Abstract

The main problem is decreased decision making in using Kosti taxi service. The driving factors predicted are consumer satisfaction and service quality.The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of service quality in decision making on using kosti taxi services based on consumer satisfaction through intervening variable. Type of research is explanatory research. Samples used is 100 respondents who are taxi customers Kosti Semarang.The sampling technique used is accidental sampling and purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaire and literature study . The technique of data analysis is validity test, reliability test, crosstab analysis, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple regression test, multiple regression test, significance test (t-test) and simultaneous test (f-test) using IMB SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 16.0 version.Based on the analysis shows that consumer satisfaction and service quality have an effect on decision making of using services. Service quality’s variable has bigger effect than consumer satisfaction on decision making on using services in the amount 61,6% than 45,4%            Recommendations for taxi service company Kosti Semarang is to increase consumer satisfaction especially in terms of passenger safety and better service quality.
