Abstract

ABSTRACTTechnological developments are increasingly developing in the present day, one of which is the use of microcontrollers as reminders of automatic prayer times. Musholla darul Muttaqin located in Sembungharjo, Genuk district, Semarang city, is one of the Musholla that currently has not utilized the microcontroller application. The implementation of community service activities (PKM) that has been carried out aims to provide workshops and training directly to students and administrators of the Darul Muttaqin prayer room in installing and creating an automatic-based prayer time schedule that can be operated / controlled with android. From the implementation of the activities carried out, there are still obstacles, including the lack of knowledge of students and musholla administrators about controllers. From the training carried out by students and musolla administrators were enthusiastic about participating in the training. The results of the training showed that students and musholla administrators were able to string together and create an automatic prayer time schedule based on android and at the same time the results of these activities were donated to the musholla so that they could be used as reminders of prayer times. Keywords: Technology; microcontroller applications; automatic prayer time schedules.

Abstract

The 18650 type lithium-ion battery is the type of battery most widely used in today's era, such as in electric cars, electric saws, electric drills and many more. This battery was chosen because it has stable performance, is more environmentally friendly and has a longer service life compared to other types of batteries. However, in use, lithium-ion batteries cannot stand alone, these batteries require an additional circuit, namely the BMS (battery management system), which functions to protect the battery from over charging, over discharging, short and over temperature, so that it is safe to use. Community service was carried out at SMKN 1 Tengaran, Semarang Regency, by providing material and training regarding the use of BMS on lithium-ion batteries by charging them using solar panels. This training was carried out for 3 hours with a total of 30 students, starting from delivering the material to direct practice.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to equip 15 participants at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Jepara with technical competencies in assembling a backup energy system. The novelty of this article lies in the application of Lithium-Ion battery technology integrated with a smart Battery Management System (BMS) as a more efficient and safer power storage solution compared to conventional lead-acid batteries, as well as the implementation of a hands-on training method. This five-hour program successfully guided participants through the process of assembling Lithium-Ion battery cells and integrating them with a BMS to achieve optimal functionality. The results demonstrate that the assembled battery unit, when connected to an inverter, is capable of providing a stable power supply to various electronic loads, including mobile phone chargers, laptops, and active speakers. The final conclusion of this activity is that the participants have successfully mastered modern energy storage technology while producing a functional backup energy system ready to support emergency electrical needs within the school environment.

Abstract

CMPS03 an electronic compass sensor navigation sensor that helps in determining the direction toward the robot and in tracing the wall or room that works according to the principle of the compass in general. CMPS03 electronic compass sensor has two sensors that will detect ferrous magnetic Earth's magnetic field and also has a range of angles 360Ëš, the resulting data is then sent to the microcontroller Keywords: Compass Sensor, Robot, and Microcontroller.

Abstract

The development of electric vehicles is in rapid progress, especially in terms of the main engine drive. The use of solenoid can be applied as an alternative driving electric vehicles instead of a dc motor as the main driver. In this paper, the prototype solenoid machine is applied by using 4 inductors controlled by an Arduino microcontroller and the solenoid driver based on application of Mosfet L298N. The prototype runs successfully. Based on the experimental results, the greater the frequency value applies to the driver, the faster the solenoid moves. The acceleration occures due to the electromagnetic field which is getting stronger and the field is proportional to the frequency value, so the solenoid movement is faster.

Abstract

In the current era of Industry 4.0, technological and robotics advancements are proceeding rapidly, particularly in the fields of science, technology, and mathematics; however, knowledge and literacy among high school students regarding the identification and use of robotic components remain very limited. An introductory training session on transporter robot components was conducted for students at SMA Kesatrian 2 Semarang with the aim of enhancing their understanding of robotics fundamentals. The activity involved the presentation of material, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in identifying the parts of a transporter robot. Assessment was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests administered to 20 participants. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in understanding across all areas, including robot components, power sources, drive systems, control systems, and the functions of the transporter robot. The average percentage of correct answers rose from 24% in the pre-test to 85% in the post-test. These results indicate that the training successfully improved student understanding and fostered greater interest in robotics technology.
