Abstract

Today's modern lifestyle is very influential on human activities, as well as the facilities and infrastructure used to assist their activities. In general, people want something that is simple, practical and comfortable. This can be seen when humans do activities at home.The terrace is one of the rooms that is currently experiencing additional functions, which is usually only for receiving guests, currently there are many things that can be done on the terrace, such as sitting back, chatting, gathering with family, friends or relatives, playing. The terrace is currently located not only in front of the house, it can be on the side, behind, above (balcony).The combination of wood and stainless materials is an option in making patio chairs and tables, with a simple design, which is one of the products that humans need for their patio space. Chair and table designs can be placed in any type of terrace, creative and new designs make these chairs and tables a point of interest on the terrace.

Abstract

The design of wooden home stay loby chairs is unique which is able to lift the promotion of a business. The chair design prepared for the lobby contains quality wood and has transparent fibers, so that the resulting product will be attractive. The types of wood used are Sono Keling wood and coconut wood with a water based system finishing, so that it will reduce costs..The problems in this research are 1). How to bring together a design agreement between researchers in the city of Jepara and the location of the home stay in the city of Jogjakarta. 2). Selection of raw materials for sono keling wood and coconut wood with a maximum dryness of 12%.The results obtained in this study are 1). Find the concept of chair design for the home stay lobby. 2). Able to process sono keling wood and coconut wood according to furniture production procedures. 3). Perform finishing applications with the maximum water based system material. 4). Can realize the results of special chair designs for home stay lobby rooms with various models.

Abstract

 Congklak is one of the typical indonesia traditional games are made of stone, wood, plastik and one of the result of culture and art that deserves to be preserved. In ancient times congklak game done in the gazebo, patio homes or under a tree by holding the cushion. Young women and children will play spare time is after completion help parent’s work and finished learning. How to play performed by two people using cangklak board and grains are made of gravel / tamarind seeds and brown seed with a number of 70.84 and 98 grains depends on the number of large holes on each side, the rest of the small holes that are faces each other.This processwill berealized congklak metamorphosis into works of art that use waste wood powder coconut, of course this work is not independent of the other ingredients, namely resins, catalysts, iron columns 8 mm, nails, glue alteco and multiplex 2 mm. Being metamorphosis in question in a creative process of art processing base material by considering technique that puts the character and funcion of the basic shape change.

Abstract

The result of the veener application cabinet design design is the use of wood basic components from unproductive pieces of furniture. If the rest of the furniture is used only in the home industry such as tofu makers, building brick makers. Even though a lot of this wood cut material comes from the furniture home industry in Jepara. This environmental problem will be discussed in this study, namely how to design renewable furniture products with scrap materials from furniture production that currently have disturbed the living environment An innovative form of creativity is a solution taken, namely designing a cupboard with a variety of design choices. 1) observing how many pieces of wood left over from furniture in Krapyak village, 2) exploring the ability of human resources to process wood scraps into sheets of boards, 3) designing designs that match the conditions of the raw materials that have been formed, 4) executing the selected designs into furniture products in the form of cupboards. This process will build a positive foundation that the remaining pieces of wood from furniture processing can be recycled to be processed into products that have resale value.
