Abstract

Gas Insulated Switchgear Extra High Voltage (GISTET) is a power system component that has a function as a distribution center (transmission) that connects the extra high voltage transmission system through distribution channels or substations. Based on the installation of GISTET equipment, relying on hexafluoride gas (SF_6) as an insulating medium on the equpment. Equipment at GISTET is not always in good condition, GISTET also often experiences problems. One of the distrubances that GISTET often experiences is the leakage of SF6 gas at the PMT (circuit breaker). This requires a treatment called a GISTET overhaul. So in this paper the author will analyze the SSF_6 gas leak as insulation on the PMT (circuir breaker) at GISTET Saguling. According to the results of the calculations in this final project, the gas pressure of SF_6 and the breakdown voltage of PMT are interrelated. At the pressure when the gas leak occurs is at a value below 5kgf/cm2it is able to with stand the voltage. Penetrating with a high value so it is very effective to reduce arc fire. In addition, the SF_6 gas pressure is also related to the arc speed because the lower the pressure value at the time of gas leakage, the arc speed decreases, so the arc will be slow to muffle.

Abstract

Selection of devices for IoT needs can be determined based on the range from the shortest to the furthest, and on the internet access or Wi-Fi availability, which can be considered in advance and adjusted to the needs. In line with this, a training was carried out at SMKN 1 Cimahi, involving several groups of experts in the Electrical Engineering familyto open insight and understanding regarding the needs of devices that can be used to build internet-based or IoT systems. This training also introduced several observation schemes with various platforms, that are available in both free and paid choices. The training activities were carried out for 16 hours face-to-face, and 16 hours of independent projects that consisted of 10 modules. Out of these activities, it is expected that the participants can improve their thinking skills and carry out system programming processes according to needs and readiness.

Abstract

Chelonioidea or Sea turtle is an animal that is currently on the verge of extinction. Smart THEM prototype is designed to be able to maintain temperature of the sand medium in male mode (27–29oC) and female (29–32oC) using DS18B20 temperature sensor, and maintain the humidity of the sand medium (37.5%–50.2 %) using a capacitive soil moisture sensor with an indicator of the remaining water in the tank using an ultrasonic sensor. Turtle eggs incubated at high temperatures will give birth to female turtles, and at low temperatures, male turtles. This tool also utilizes internet networks for remote monitoring through the Blynk application by using a Mega+Wi-Fi microcontroller. In the test, Smart THEM is able to maintain the temperature in the male mode, which is 27.87–28.19 0C, and in the female mode, which is 30.19–30.31oC. Smart THEM is also able to maintain humidity between 45%-48%. The response time needed to increase temperature by 0.5oC is 20 minutes, and the humidity by 20% is 3 seconds. Blynk application is able to acquire temperature and humidity, and remaining water data in the tank from Smart THEM via internet.
