Abstract

The research design uses a descriptive quantitative approach, which explains the state of the efficiency of water distribution in Karang Bayan, Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. The data used in the analysis are water flow velocity (VAV), cross-sectional area (A), channel flow rate (Q), water demand for plants and water requirements for each irrigation area, and the efficiency of irrigation water distribution in each channel (E). The results showed that the S3 and S4 channels did not meet the water needs in the irrigation area, while the discharge in the tertiary irrigation canals S1, S2, S5 and S6 was sufficient to meet the water needs of the irrigation area in Karang Bayan Village. Because the availability of water in the Mencongah Weir is very sufficient for providing water to the tertiary canal. Channel S1 which has an irrigation area of 36.64 ha and a channel length of 700 m with an actual discharge of 44.8 ltr/s has an irrigation efficiency of 60%. The S2 channel which has an irrigation area of 57,115 ha and a channel length of 900 m with an actual discharge of 67.9 ltr/s has an irrigation efficiency of 60%. In the S1 and S2 channels, the efficiency value is above 50-60%, then the channel can be said to be efficient

Abstract

Waste is an item or object that has used up its useful value and is always present in everyday life which is caused by activities that occur all the time, which also occurs in Bone Puteh Hamlet, Labuan Kertasari Village, Taliwang District, West Sumbawa Regency. Waste production is increasing every day in line with the increasing number of products and consumption patterns of society. What must be done to overcome this increase in waste volume is by: reducing the volume of waste from its source through community empowerment. The problem in community participation regarding waste management is related to the form of regulation in waste management in Bone Puteh Hamlet, what is the form and level of community participation in waste management. Research on community participation-based waste management in Bone Puteh Hamlet aims to: 1) Describe the form of community participation in Bone Puteh Village. 2) Describe the level of community participation in Bone Puteh Village where data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation, while data analysis uses descriptive qualitative techniques. Based on the results of the research, it is found that one form of community participation in efforts to improve the environment is by providing contributions of labor in the form of community service, mutual cooperation and participating in waste management. Apart from that, the community also holds a community meeting which is held once a month where the community carries out these activities without coercion. The level of community participation that occurs in Bone Puteh Hamlet    is in a moderate category which means that the community participates but in its implementation it is still not optimal

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the availability of air that can be used for air irrigation needs for the Mencongah Weir Irrigation area and to determine the amount of air needed for Mencongah Weir irrigation. The method used is the Normal method, Log Person II and Gumbel. The results of this study indicate that the availability of air at the Mencongah Weir during the growing season is still sufficient, where the availability of air at the Mencongah Weir during the growing season is still sufficient, where the air supply (QMin) = 79.04lt/sec/ha which occurred in March. While the maximum discharge (Qmak) = 249.88 lt/sec/ha in August and the minimum water demand discharge (QMin) = 75.7 lt/sec/ha which occurred in November. While the maximum discharge (Qmak) = 127.94 lt/sec/ha in August.

Abstract

Plastic take hundreds to thousands of years to decompose. During this time, plastic has created serious problems for the environment. Once plastic waste is left in the environment, it will be exposed to natural elements, such as solar radiation, wind, or rain. In turn, the plastic will break down over time until the are invisible. In general, the plastic decomposition process takes place very slowly and takes hundreds of year for the      plastic to be degraded into microplastics (MP) and nanoplastics (NP) through various physical, chemical and biological processes. MP is defined as small pastic particles measuring < 5 mm  and having a very large negative impact on the environment. MP can be found anywhere, even in the deepest seas of the Earth. But in reality MP is all around us and so dangerous. The problem of environmental damage due to waste is always interesting to discuss and has also become a global issue and the magnitude of the impact caused by plastic has become a serious problem that can’t be ignored. Plastic which was originally a useful and versatile object has now turned into a threat to the survival mandkind
