Abstract

Biology learning should emphasize the provision of direct experience and at this time, using idelly scinence process skills (SPS). But on the subject of research, the lack of provision direct experience during the learning process and there is no provision of SPS in a structure way. Thus, the research applied the method of an inquiry guided based-portfolio, a method own answer to exsiting problems by using sins process skills. The conclusions in this study is the application of an inquiry guided based-portfolio to develop students scinence process skills classes X4 semsester odd Sinior High School 1 Purbolinggo year 2011/2012. The development can be observed from the increase as follows: the skills to make hypothesis or pre-CAR by 6,5% to 72,4% after the study, acquire skill and process data from the pre-CAR by 48,8% after the study to 80,6%, communicating skills pre-CAR by 6,5% after the study to 82%, and concluded at a rate skills of pre-CAR by 9,8% after the study to 78,7%.Kata kunci:  Inkuiri Terbimbing, Portofolio, Keterampilan Proses Sains

Abstract

Abstract: Science learning in senior high school was designed with the goal of achieving the competencies of graduates that includes aspects of attitudes, skills, and knowledge competency. Skill aspect refers to the Scientific Approach. Skills such as observing the process are observing, trying, processing, serving, and reasoning. All of these skills, leading to the aspects that exist within SPS. Learning needs analysis conducted by researchers at the SMA/ MA class XI IPA that is in the Purbolinggo district of East Lampung SPS shows a lack of provision in the learning process. Supposedly, learning based  on SPS is further enhanced, the researchers created a learning guide model based on SPS. The objectives of the reasearch: 1) produce a learning guide model based on SPS class XI, 2) improve outcomes (process) and output (learning cutcomes) biology learning class XI. Type of the research is Research and Development (R&D). The research was conducted in SMA N 1 Purbolinggo in class XI Science. Procedures R&D is adapted from Borg and Gall consisting of five steps: 1) literature review and the results of relevant research, 2) Design and carry out preliminary study, 3) the development/conceptualization models, 4) test the model through experimentation, 5) revision of the model. conclusion; 1) learning guide SPS models has been validated by the user and learning experts, instrument validation, model validation, and it is suitable.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran seharusnya sesuai dengan perkembangan kognitif peserta didik dan sesuai dengan kurikulum yang sedang diterapkan. Menurut data kumpulan skripsi Pendidikan Biologi tahun 2014-2017 di Fakultas Kejuruan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro, permasalahan-permasalahan yang terjadi pada beberapa latar belakang masalah disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru kurang tepat, sehingga mengakibatkan hasil belajar yang kurang sesuai dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minumum (KKM). Salah satu penyebabnya adalah karena metode yang digunakan kurang mengoptimalkan daya berpikir peserta didik yang sesuai dengan usianya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan data perkembangan peserta didik ranah kognitif yang ada di sekolah TK, SD, SMP, dan SMA yang akan disesuaikan dengan tahap perkembangan peserta didik yang ideal sesuai dengan jenjangnya berdasarkan teori perkembangan peserta didik ranah kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik jenjang TK sampai SMA yang ada Kota Metro. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rata-rata total perkembangan kognitif peserta didik di semua jenjang sudah mencapai kriteria sangat kuat (81%-100%), yang berarti perkembangan kognitif peserta didik yang ada di wilayah Kota Metro dari jenjang TK, SD, SMP, SMA sudah sesuai dengan perkembangan kognitif ideal yang dikemukakan oleh teori Piaget.Learning methods should be in accordance with the cognitive development of students and applied curriculum. According to data collection of Biology Education from year 2014-2017 at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education in University of Muhammadiyah Metro, the problems that occur in some background studies were caused by thr teachers used less precise learning methods and the used methods less optimized the students’ thinking power according to their age. It resulted in less learning outcomes in accordance with the Minimum Mastery Criteria. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on students’ cognitive development in kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school which will be adjusted to their ideal level cognitive development based on the theory of students’ cognitive development. This study used the qualitative method. The subjects were students from kindergarten to high school in Metro City. The techniques of data collection used observation sheets and interview. This research resulted in a total average of students’ cognitive development at all levels have reached a very strong criteria (81%-100%), which meant students’ level cognitive development in Metro City was in accordance with the ideal cognitive development proposed by Piaget theory.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatan dosen pengampu mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Rendah Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017, peserta didik mengalami kebingungan saat menentukan tumbuhan makroalga yang digunakan sebagai sampel identifikasi pada saat praktikum lapangan, sehingga hasil belajar peserta didik rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan dan menghasilkan modul praktikum mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Rendah yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model R&D yang digunakan merujuk pada Sugiyono yang dibatasi sampai 7 tahapan, yaitu: analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk/uji efektivitas, dan revisi produk. Tahapan potensi masalah menggunakan lembar wawancara, tahapan validasi melalui instrumen penilaian menggunakan angket skala penilaian, dan uji efektivitas modul praktikum menggunakan Quasi Eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan valid dengan nilai rata-rata dari ahli desain dan materi 84% dengan kriteria sangat kuat, rata-rata uji kepraktisan 92% dengan kriteria sangat kuat, dan teruji efektif bahwa hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Based on the observation of lecturer’s Low Plants Botany at Biology Education Study Program in University of Muhammadiyah Metro,the students were confused when determining macroalgae plant that used as sample in doing the field practicum, so that the students’ outcome was low. The purpose of this study was to develop and produce a valid, practical and effective practicum module for Low Plants Botany Subject. The R&D model used refers to Sugiyono which was limited to 7 stages: potential and problems analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product test/effectiveness test, and product revision. The stage of potential and problem analysis used the interview sheet, the stages of validation used the assessment scale questionnaire, the effectiveness test of the practicum module carried out through Quasi Experiment. The results of the study showed that the developed product was valid with the average value of design and material experts was 84% (very strong), the average of practicality test was 92% (very strong), and the practicum module was tested effectively which showed that the learning outcome in the experimental class was higher than in the control class.

Abstract

Pesisir Barat Regency in Lampung has abundant marine biological wealth that has not been widely known and utilized by the community, one of them is macro algae. The objectives of the research were to identify the types of macro algae and to explains the potential use of macro algae in the Pesisir Barat Lampung Region. The study used cruise method. The findings were identified by experts to validate the results of classification, morphology, and qualitative studies regarding the potential use and benefits of macro algae. From the results of this study, 15 species of macro algae were found on Tanjung Setia Beach included; 3 species of green algae (Chlorophyta) consist of  Halimeda opuntia L., Caulerpa racemosa F., Ulva lactuca L .; 7 species of brown algae (Phaeophyta) consist of  Padina pavonica L., Padina australis H., Sargassum vulgare C.A., Sargassum polycystum C.A., Turbinaria ornata J.A., Turbinaria ornata J.A., Fucus vesiculosus L.; and 5 species of red algae (Rhodophyta), consist of  Corallina officinalis L., Gigartina pistilla S., Gigartina disticha S., Gracilaria verrucosa, H., Rhodymenia pseudopalmat J.V.L.The benefits of this research for society to provide insight into the potential use of macro algae which can be utilized in many fields. For students, provide information on the biodiversity of macro algae in the sea.

Abstract

Modul dapat digunakan bagi peserta didik untuk belajar mandiri dan diintegrasikan nilai keIslaman dengan harapan peserta didik memiliki pondasi agama yang kokoh dengan cara mengetahui kaitannya materi Biologi dengan nilai Islami. Selain itu, modul harus disesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, yaitu kebutuhan teknologi elektronik (e-modul). Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan dan melihat kelayakan bahan ajar berupa e-modul yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai Islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Thiagarajan (4D) yang terdiri dari empat tahapan: pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Tahap pengembangan terdiri atas validasi dan revisi. Validasi dilakukan melalui uji coba dengan 2 tahap, yaitu uji ahli (ahli desain oleh 2 dosen, ahli materi oleh 2 dosen dan 1 guru, dan ahli tafsir Ayat Al-Qur’an oleh 1 dosen) dan uji kelompok kecil (25 peserta didik). Validasi digunakan untuk kelayakan produk yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan e-modul terintegrasi nilai KeIslaman yang telah dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran biologi pada materi sistem respirasi dengan penilaian sangat baik berdasarkan penampilan desain 85,36%, isi materi 89,22%, tafsir ayat Al-Qur’an 96,36%, dan respon peserta didik 85,60%. e-Modul dapat diakses dimana saja dan kapan saja pada Playstore melalui smartphone android dengan kata kunci “Sistem Respirasi Manusia by Anggia”. Module can be used for students to learn independently and be integrated with Islamic values in the hope that students have a solid religious foundation by knowing the relationship between Biology material and Islamic values. In addition, the module must be adapted to the times, namely the need for electronic technology (e-module). The research objective was to develop and determine the feasibility of teaching materials in the form of e-module that was integrated with Islamic values.This type of research was research and development using the Thiagarajan development model (4D) which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The development stage consists of validation and revision. Validation was carried out through trials with 2 stages, namely expert testing (design experts by 2 lecturers, material experts by 2 lecturers and 1 teacher, and exegesis of the Qur'anic Verses by 1 lecturer) and small group testing (25 students). Validation was used for the feasibility of the developed product. The results showed that the integrated e-module of Islamic values that has been developed was feasible for learning biology on the respiratory system material with a very good assessment. It based on the appearance of the design was 85.36%, the content of the material was 89.22%, the exegesis of the Qur'anic Verses was 96.36%, and students' response was 85.60%. e-Module can be accessed anywhere and anytime on Playstore via an Android smartphone with the keyword " Sistem Respirasi Manusia by Anggia".

Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1)produced LKPD (Students’s workseet) based on PBL learning models. 2) to utilize natural resources in the form of the Bekri River which can be used as learning media for students. The research was carried out through 4 stages, that is defining, design, development, and dissemination. In the define stage, the researcher conducted a survey at MA Bustanul Ulum Jaya Sakti for seeking the problems that occurred through interviews and observation steps with Biology subject teachers. In the design phase, the researcher compiles the LKPD (Students' Worksheet) development plan to be developed. In the development phase, the researcher produced LKPD (Students' Worksheet) based on PBL learning models on the subject matter of environmental change. At this stage, the validation process of the product feasibility was also carried out by material experts, subject teachers, design experts, and the trial process for students at MA Bustanul Ulum Jaya Sakti. The percentage results obtained from the validation of material experts by 88% -92%, design experts by 90% -94%, subject teachers 92%, and student trials by 84% -94%, this states that the LKPD (Students' Worksheet) developed is feasible to be used in the learning process.
