Abstract

AbstractLanguage style that used by the writer in his work is thought and feelings which create an aesthetic work. This study aims to describe language style of Soneta’s song lyrics in Emansipasi Wanita album. This album is the XIII albums of Soneta’s group. Method of this study is qualitative descriptive method. Based on analysis result, language style found in the song lyrics of Emansipasi Wanita album is a rhetorical language style and figurative language. Rhetorical language style includes alliteration, assonance, euphemism, periphrasis, hyperbole and oxymoron. Meanwhile, the figurative language includes simile, metaphor, personification and synecdoche. Key Words: Language style, Rhetorical, Figurative, Song Lyric.

Abstract

This study aims at describing social value found in a novel, Gadis Pantai by Ananata Toer that including vital, material, and spiritual value. This study used qualitative method and content analysis. The result of study shows that this novel contains material, vital, and spiritual value. Material value is dominated by a gold, the jewelry given by Bendoro to Gadis Pantai in order to viewed as high level people. Vital value is dominated by house equipment which related to the life of Gadis Pantai and spiritual value found in her life. Based on the social value, the author asks the reader fighting for equal right at that time.Keywords: social value, novel, Gadis Pantai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat kesiapan sekolah anak. Analisa dilakukan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan yang paling diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan prasekolah di kabupaten Kudus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengambilan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diambil dengan menggunakan alat tes psikologi Denver II, Bender-Gestalt II, Child Development Inventory (CDI), sedangkan data kualitatif menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah 40 anak Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) dengan rincian 20 anak TK A dan 20 anak TK B yang terdiri dari empat TK di Kabupaten Kudus. Pemilihan subjek dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Jumlah subjek penelitian terdiri dari 160 anak. Peneliti menyimpulkan dari keseluruhan data, bahwa ada perbedaan antara sekolah yang terletak di kota dan dengan sosioekonomi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sekolah yang berada di pinggiran kota. Walaupun secara kategorisasi tidak jauh berbeda, namun secara rata-rata skor tiap anak menunjukkan perbedaan.

Abstract

Penelitian awal terkait kondisi remaja di beberapa panti asuhan kota Kudus menunjukkan bahwa 37% remaja mengalami stres ringan, 32% mengalami stres dalam tingkat sedang, 27% mengalami stres dalam tingkat berat, dan 4% mmengalami stres sangat berat. Berdasarkan klasifikasi tingkatan stres tersebut,  dalam penelitian yang sama teridentifikasi bahwa 13% remaja mengalami gangguan pencernaan, 47% mengalami sakit kepala, 3% mengalami gangguan kulit, 8% mengalami tekanan darah tinggi, 11% mengalami gangguan pernafasan, dan 18% mengalami gangguan yang lain, meliputi insomnia (tidak bisa tidur), sulit berkonsentrasi, mudah cemas dan bingung, badan lemas, malas, jantung berdebar-debar, menjadi lebih sensitif dan emosional, serta minder dengan lawan jenis disebabkan stres yang dialami. Hal ini tentunya mengganggu kegiatan sehari-hari mereka di pondok dan di sekolah. Kebanyakan disebabkan karena kondisi keluarga yang broken home, sehingga menelantarkan kebutuhan psikologis, sosial, dan ekonomi anak. Proses yang dilakukan seseorang untuk mengatasi stres dinamakan coping(kemampuan mengatasi masalah). Peneliti mengupayakan salah satu cara meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi emosi dan coping stresspada remaja panti asuhan dengan menggunakan pelatihan First Psychological Aid.Hasil dari kegiatan ini, telah menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan regulasi emosi dan coping stress. Perubahan juga terlihat pada perilaku remaja panti asuhan yang semakin baik selama dan sesudah pelatihan.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini terdapat konflik batin seorang tokoh pada novel “Penghujung Langit” karya Shofa Faridah Istiqomah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui psikologis sastra berupa konflik batin seorang tokoh pada novel Penghujung Langit karya Shofa Faridah Istiqomah berdasarkan teori Abraham Maslow. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa pada novel Penghujung Langit karya Shofa Faridah Istiqomah terdapat konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utamanya, yaitu rasa sedih 4 kutipan, rasa ketakutan 2 kutipan, rasa kecemasan 1 kutipan, rasa kebimbangan 2 kutipan, dan rasa bersalah 1 kutipan. Adapun faktor penyebab terjadinya konflik batin pada tokoh utama, yaitu tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan fisiologis karena kekurangan ekonomi terdapat 1 kutipan, tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan rasa cinta dan kasih sayang kedua orang tua terdapat 1 kutipan, dan tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan penghargaan karena permasalahan ekonomi yang menyebabkan rasa bimbang muncul harus memilih melanjutkan cita-cita atau berhenti terdapat 1 kutipan. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam novel Penghujung Langit karya Shofa Faridah Istiqomah memiliki kelebihan yaitu dari segi cerita yang dapat memberikan motivasi untuk tetap tabah dalam menjalani berbagai permasalahan kehidupan, sedangkan kekurangan novel ini, terutama dari segi bahasanya banyak mengandung kata yang kurang berkaitan erat dengan isiceritanya sehingga mengaburkan tema ceritanya. Abstract

This study aims to determine stress coping in mother with special needs children. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological method using data collection techniques through frankly and covert observation and structured interview. There are three informants in this study whose are mother with special needs children. The results showed that among the three informants had different coping stress. The coping stress that was owned by informant I; mother with down syndrom and cerebral palsy child was more oriented to problem focus coping. Informant try to provide the best and concrete solutions for her child conditions by bringing her child to a growth and development therapy center, often assisting doctors, psychologists, and parents with other children with special needs to better understand and provide appropriate treatment for their child's condition, and involve family members to help her duty. The second informant; mother with ADHD child has stress coping which is more oriented to problem focus coping. This informant can reach this stage; quite sincere accepted and keep struggle to give the best therapy for her chid. Informant III; mother with cerebral palsy child has more oriented to emotional focus coping because after his son was taken to consult a neurologist and child development therapy, his condition was getting better,so for now informant more focused on trying to fulfill all his child's wishes for not bothered with her child’s conditions.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui coping stress pada ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif fenomenologis dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi terus terang dan tersamar serta wawancara terstruktur. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang ibu yang memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga informan memiliki coping stress yang berbeda. Coping stress yang dimiliki oleh informan I; ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus down syndrom dan cerebral palsy lebih berorientasi pada problem focus coping. Informan berusaha memberikan yang terbaik untuk anaknya dengan membawa anaknya ke pusat terapi tumbuh kembang, sering berkonsultasi dengan dokter, psikolog, serta orang tua dengan ABK lain untuk dapat lebih memahami dan memberikan perlakuan yang tepat bagi anaknya, serta melibatkan anggota keluarga untuk membantu meringankan tugasnya. Informan II; ibu dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus ADHD memiliki coping stress yang lebih berorientasi pada problem focus coping. Informan sudah dapat menerima kondisi anaknya, sehingga sekarang lebih sungguh-sungguh berusaha memberikan terapi yang terbaik bagi anaknya. Informan III; ibu dengan anak yang mengalami cerebral palsy untuk saat ini lebih memilih coping stress yang berorientasi pada emotional focus coping, karena setelah anaknya dibawa berkonsultasi ke dokter syaraf dan terapi tumbuh kembang anak kondisinya semakin membaik, sehingga untuk saat ini informan lebih fokus untuk menuruti semua keinginan anaknya agar tidak repot dengan keadaan anaknya.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, character education is encouraged in learning activities, including learning Indonesian. It was not without cause. Lack of respect, lack of mutual assistance, language impoliteness, and other negative attitudes are problems and the root of suppressing the character of education in educational institutions. It means that language learning is not only about being able to communicate verbally or in writing; language learning also needs to question the character of the language user, namely the language learner himself, as the target. For this reason, it is essential for language teaching to instil character values ​​in language learning materials. This research aims to describe the local wisdom values ​​of the Lampung region and try to insert them into Indonesian language learning materials, especially regarding expository text material for class XI high school students. This qualitative research describes the local wisdom values ​​of the Lampung region and tries to insert these values ​​into Indonesian language learning. Data collection techniques were carried out using literature studies and interviews. The results of the research study show that the local wisdom values ​​of the Lampung region can be included in Indonesian language learning materials in exposition text discussions and can also have implications for the formation of students' character.

Abstract

The significant number of Instagram users exhibiting narcissistic behavior is a real phenomenon that underpins this study. Factors such as self-esteem and subjective well-being are known to influence narcissistic behavior. The main objective of this research is to empirically examine the relationship between self-esteem and subjective well-being with narcissistic behavior among Instagram users. Using a purposive sampling approach, 503 active Instagram users (aged between 24-45 years) comprised the study population. This research employed a quantitative methodology based on a correlational approach. Data collection instruments included the self-esteem scale, the subjective well-being scale, and the narcissistic behavior scale. Data analysis revealed an R value of 0.823, an F value of 3.021, and a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.01). The results indicate a significant relationship between self-esteem, subjective well-being, and narcissistic behavior. This study highlights the importance of enhancing self-esteem and subjective well-being among social media users to reduce excessive social comparison and envy.

Abstract

CATAHU data reveals an increase in dating violence cases in Indonesia. Multiple factors can influence dating violence. This study aims to determine the relationship between dating violence and problem-solving and emotional regulation in individuals who have experienced child abuse. The method used in this study was quantitative. Subjects were recruited through a questionnaire. A correlational design with a purposive sampling technique, involving 234 respondents who were victims of child abuse and had experienced dating violence. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using three Likert scales: the Dating Violence Scale (24 items, α = 0.938), the Emotion Regulation Scale (30 items, α = 0.945), and the Problem Solving Scale (22 items, α = 0.937). After statistical assumption testing and outlier elimination, the analysis was conducted on 33 respondents. The results showed no significant relationship between emotion regulation and problem solving with dating violence in child abuse victims, with p = 0.251 (null hypothesis rejectedThe minor hypothesis test showed no significant relationship between emotional regulation and dating violence (r = 0.279, p = 0.058) and between problem solving and dating violence (r = 0.285, p = 0.068). These findings indicate that dating violence in child abuse victims is more influenced by other complex factors such as childhood trauma, learning violent behavior, and psychosocial factors. This study contributes to the understanding that interventions to prevent dating violence in vulnerable populations require a holistic approach that considers various risk and protective factors comprehensively, rather than only focusing on improving emotional regulation and problem-solving skills alone. Furthermore, examining other factors, such as self-disclosure and help-seeking behavior, is recommended.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-compassion in children from broken homes with family support and mindfulness. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study consisted of 172 respondents who were victims of broken homes. The data analysis of this study used the SPSS 15.0 application for Windows Evaluation Version. The results of the primary hypothesis test showed that the significance level of p was 0.025 (p <0.05) with Rx12y = 0.321; there was a significant relationship between family support and mindfulness with self-compassion. The results of the minor hypothesis test of self-compassion and family support showed a correlation coefficient between the two variables (Rx1y) of 0.299 with a p value of 0.006 (p <0.05). The results showed a very significant positive relationship between self-compassion and family support. The results of the minor hypothesis test of self-compassion and mindfulness showed a correlation coefficient between the two variables (Rx1y) of 0.013 with a p value of 0.459 (p <0.01). The results showed no significant positive relationship between self-compassion and mindfulness. The results of the 172 broken home victims showed that family support and mindfulness were significantly related to self-compassion (r = 0.321, p = 0.025) together, with a contribution of 10.3%. Family support was significantly related to self-compassion (r = 0.299, p = 0.006), contributing 8.9%. Meanwhile, mindfulness was not significantly related (r = 0.013, p = 0.459), with a contribution of only 0.02%. Family support was a significant factor in self-compassion development in victims of broken homes.
