Abstract

Suhrawardi was a philosopher who had a very important influence in the development of Islamic philosophy. The theory of illumination (isyraqi) which is the fruit of Suhrawardi's work has provided a new view in the development treasures of Islamic philosophy which has been dominated by the Paripatetism since before. The birth of the Illumination School (Israqi) is an alternative to the weaknesses that exist in previous philosophies, especially Aristotelian peripatetics. According to Suhrawardi, the peripatetic philosophy which until then was considered the most superior turned out to contain various shortcomings. After seeing how big the influence of the philosophy of illumination in the discourse on the development of Islamic philosophy is, then conducting a study of it in depth and comprehensively becomes a very important thing to do. Therefore in this study will be discussed about; How about Suhrawardi's theory of illumination knowledge? And how did it contribute to the development of Islamic philosophy?

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia diharapkan dapat mempersiapkan peserta didik menjadi warga negara yang memiliki komitmen kuat dan konsiten untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kecerdasan, ketrampilan, akhlak kemuliaa, serta mengembangkan keahlian ketrampilan, menguasai keahlian dan dasar-dasar ilmu pengetahuan teknologi yang membangun integeritas sosial serta membudayakan dan mewujudkan karakter nasional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran diskusi. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa penerapan Metode Diskusi yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PAI siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Berastagi meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan prosentase siswa tuntas dari siklus I sebesar 54,54% pada siklus II menjadi 72,72%. Berdasarkan penelitian ketuntasan belajar siswa kelas VII adalah peningkatan nilai tertinggi pada siklus I ke siklus II yakni dari 85 menjadi 90. Terdapat dampak dari penerapan metode diskusi selama proses pembelajaran yaitu meningkatnya keaktifan siswa dalam keikutsertaan mereka untuk berpartisipasi dalam pelajaran PAI.
