Abstract –The village of Kayu Gadang is one of the villages in the subdistrict of South PesisirRegency silk economy society resting on farming corn. But the community does not yet have enough information about the factors that affect corn production such as land area, the distance to the source of the water, the land length of the trunks, width and fertilizer so that cause less productive corn production results obtained community which is around 602,549 tonnes by 2015 that should more than 605,352 tons in 2014. Based on the above issues, then the formulation of the problem in this research are factors that affect the production of any corn in the village of Kayu Gadang SouthPesisirRegency. The purpose of this research is to know what a linear multiple regression model and the factors that affect the production of maize in the village of Kayu Gadang South Pesisir Regency. Abstract – Life insurance is one of term for the transfer of risk. The main function of life insurance is as a transfer of risk from the insured to the insurer. Because that function, insurance company are required to determine the factors influencing and know the probability where at a certain time the insured will be many taking insurance claim. The right analysis for this problem is a cox regression model, because this analysis relates to someone survival situasion and the time as main factor. The result of this study indicate that the factors that affect the risk of insurance claim are factors sex and type of work. Opportunity risk of the insured event occurs by female is times than the insured event by male. Then the risk of the insured event occurs by outdoor times than the insured event by indoor.Keywords – Life Insurance, Klaim, Cox Regression.

Abstract-Nonlinear equation which is difficult to solve by analysis, but it can be solved using approach of variety of numerical methods, for instance Newton-Raphson and Halley Methods. However, the methods are not guaranteed to be convergent. Predictor Corrector Halley's method is one of the method that appear from the advantages and disadvantages of Newton-Raphson and Method of Halley. This method uses the Newton-Raphson Method as predictor and Halley's Method as corrector. It has a higher order and more efficient from Newton-Raphson and Halley methods. The advantage of this method has a higher convergence that has sixth-order convergence so that the step of the iteration is fewer. Next,an algorithm of this method is used to determine the root approximations of nonlinear equations.Key Words-Non Linear Equations, Newton Method, Halley Method, Prediktor Corector Halley Method, Algorithm.

Abstract – Currently, the smartphone comes with a variety of attributes, such as RAM, camera, battery, display and prices vary. The variety of smartphones make consumers can choose the desired product. Based on these problems, then the problem formulation in this research is what most influential attributes against the preferences of FMIPA UNP’s students in choosing a smartphone. The population of this research are all students of FMIPA UNP with sample as much as 190 respondents. In this research, the data used is primary data. Data analysis techniques used are Conjoint Analysis. From the results of data analysis, retrieved the importance attribute for each attribute RAM, camera, battery, display, and consecutive registration 37,402%, 12,342%, 9,623%, 7,772%, and 32,862%. Based on the importance of these attributes retrieved conclusion that attribute that most influences the referrers students of FMIPA UNP in choosing a smartphone is the attribute of the RAM.
