Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan Karakter merupakan pilihan dan strategi mengetahui potensi diri siswa untuk mengatasi krisis multidimensi dan kemerosotan moral bangsa. Sekolah Menengah Pertama Nahdlatul Ulama’ Bantaran merupakan salah satu lembaga yang menerapkan pendidikan karakter berbasis potensi diri dengan melibatkan beberapa tenaga sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat. Sekolah ini memiliki visi dan misi menghasilkan siswa yang cerdas, berkarakter dan religius. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berbasis pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Nahdlatul Ulama’ (SMP NU) Bantaran dimulai dengan proses input identifikasi kemampuan siswa dan latar belakang keluarga sebagai dasar untuk strategi pengembangan internalisasi nilai-nilai yang dikembangkan melalui program kegiatan sekolah. Lalu, melakukan evaluasi secara bertahap kepada elemen sekolah, baik guru, staf, maupun siswa, bisa berupa tes maupun non tes. Tes dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kompetensi siswa dan guru, sedangkan yang non tes untuk mengevaluasi kepribadian guru dan siswa. Kendala penerapan pendidikan karakter berbasis potensi diri terdapat pada lemahnya komitmen sebagian guru untuk memberikan keteladanan serta keadaan yang kurang mendukung baik dari lingkungan keluarga maupun lingkungan masyarakat. Sedangkan keunggulan pendidikan karakter berbasis potensi diri yaitu membentuk karakter, melatih mental dan moral, serta menciptakan generasi yang berintegritas. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Potensi Diri Abstract Character education is a choice and strategy to find out the potential of students to overcome multidimensional crises and the nation's moral decline. Nahdlatul Ulama' Bantaran Junior High School is one of the institutions that implements self-potential-based character education by involving several school staff, families, and the community. This school has a vision and mission to produce intelligent, character and religious students. This research methodology uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on character education at the Bantaran Nahdlatul Ulama Junior High School (SMP NU) starting with the input process of identifying student abilities and family backgrounds as the basis for strategies for developing internalization of values ​​developed through school activity programs. Then, evaluate gradually to school elements, both teachers, staff, and students, it can be in the form of tests or non-tests. The test was conducted to evaluate the competence of students and teachers, while the non-test was to evaluate the personality of teachers and students. The obstacle to implementing self-potential-based character education lies in the weak commitment of some teachers to provide exemplary and unsupportive conditions both from the family environment and the community environment. Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of the application of tsawab and iqab, the supporting and inhibiting factors of tsawab and iqab, and the impact of the application of tsawab and iqab in learning tahfidz Al-Qur'an. This study uses a qualitative method approach with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at the Islamic boarding school Ihyaus Sunnah Sentong Krejengan Probolinggo class VII Tsanawiyah with a total of 15 students. Data collection techniques are observation and interviews. The findings show that the tsawab given by the teacher to students varies in different ways in the learning process. While iqab is given with a sign, namely: using the eye. Iqab with words that is through words. Iqab by deed, namely by ordering him to stand. Iqab's body is like hitting. Supporting factors, namely internal factors include: the existence of intention, setting a time limit for memorizing according to the target set by the teacher. While external factors include: the existence of motivation from caregivers and teachers, the target in memorizing each week is one surah, while the inhibiting factors are internal factors including: lack of patience in memorizing, lack of intention in memorizing. While external factors include: teachers often come late, guardians of students do not support. As for the positive impact, students become more enthusiastic in memorizing, have a sense of responsibility, and can improve their memorization, students are happy when they get Tsawab and also accept when they get Iqab. While the negative impact is that students feel afraid and ashamed of their friends, but this disappears when students remember events that are in accordance with the theory of punishment, namely as a deterrent.

Abstract

Education will give a child's character and personality which is carried to adulthood. Implementation of education can be used with various methods where one of them is the method of giving rewards (award) and punishment (punishment). However, the imposition of this punishment is now often used as a debate among the community because some people think that the imposition of punishment violates children's rights. The child protection law, which was supposed to function to protect children, has become a weapon that can undermine the teacher's role and duties as an educator. It is appropriate that there is a convergence of the punishment method in education and child protection laws so that teachers can still carry out their educational roles and tasks properly without feeling intimidated by the applicable laws. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the convergence of punishment methods in education and child protection laws. The method used is a qualitative method with a literature review and comparative study approach. The results of the research show that both teachers and students actually have a legal umbrella that regulates the rights and obligations of each. However, regulations that protect teachers are still considered blunt and have not been able to provide full protection for teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to converge the punishment method in education and child protection laws so that teachers do not bear the bad consequences of disciplining students by giving punishment.
