Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a disease that results in a decrease in kidney function so that it cannot filter blood and the remains of the body's metabolism. One of the renal replacement therapies for patients with chronic kidney disease is haemodialysis therapy. Haemodialysis therapy is a kidney replacement therapy using a dialysis machine, this therapy has side effects, one of which is fatigue. This fatigue incident causes the patient's physical activity to be reduced or decreased. Physical activity is a movement or activity that requires energy, one of the factors that causes disruption of physical activity is fatigue. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between fatigue and physical activity in patients with chronic kidney disease experiencing haemodialysis therapy. The method used in this study is a correlation study with research design cross sectional with a sample of 88 respondents with using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaire FSS (Fatigue Severity Scale) and IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire). Data analysis using Chi-Square correlation test with SPSS 25 for windows. The results showed that almost all of the respondents experienced fatigue as many as 62 respondents (70.5%) and have a low level of physical activity as many as 47 respondents (53.4%). After statistical analysis, the value of Pearson Chi-Square 51,983 with Asymptotic Significance (2-sided) 0.000 (<0.05) which means that there is a rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha, so there is a significance. The correlation between fatigue and physical activity in chronic kidney disease patients experiencing haemodialysis therapy at the Blambangan Hospital, Banyuwangi 2022. The level of fatigue experienced by respondents causes troubles in daily activities or physical activity of respondents experiencing therapy haemodialysis.

Abstract

The reproductive health problems of women in their teens that rank highest in the world are poor personal hygiene, around 35-42%. Personal hygiene during menstruation is an effort to maintain cleanliness during menstruation for physical and psychological health, supported by good knowledge related to menstruation. The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between menstrual knowledge and personal hygiene attitudes during menstruation for teenage girls at SMAN 1 Genteng Banyuwangi in 2022. This research was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 83 respondents used the slovin formula with a simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were knowledge questionnaires and attitude questionnaires on a Likert scale. Data analysis used Fisher's Exact Test with SPSS 24 for windows. Adolescent girls have good knowledge (87.9%) and positive personal hygiene attitudes during menstruation (86.7%). The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of menstruation and personal hygiene attitudes during menstruation in female adolescents at SMAN 1 Genteng Banyuwangi in 2022 (P 0.000 <0.05). It is hoped that the synergy between the school UKS and health workers will conduct counseling about personal hygiene during menstruation so that young women will receive relevant information.

Abstract

Emesis gravidarum, which refers to nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy, is believed to arise due to fluctuations in the endocrine system. A non-pharmacological intervention is the consumption of Ambon banana, which contains vitamin B6 and folic acid. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of banana consumption on emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women. This study was conducted in 2023 at Sempu Health Center, Banyuwangi Regency. This study applies pre-experimental with one group pre and post design, the target population consists of all first trimester pregnant women who experience nausea and vomiting at Sempu Health Center. A total of 30 people were selected as samples using consecutive sampling technique and data collection on the frequency of nausea and vomiting in mothers using the PUQE (Pregnancy Unique Quantification of Emesis) questionnaire.  The intervention was 200 grams of Ambon banana, twice a day, for seven days. The results showed a decrease in the frequency of moderate emesis from 76.7% to 16.7% and an increase in mild emesis from 23.3% to 83.3% (p=0.001). Giving banana ambon demonstrated a statistically significant impact in reducing emesis gravidarum among first-trimester pregnant women.
