Abstract

Dye Sensitized-Solar Cells (DSSC) represent a third-generation solar cell technology based on photoelectrochemical principles. This study explores the use of Clitoria ternatea (butterfly pea) extract as an organic dye for DSSCs, focusing on its ability to absorb sunlight effectively. Excitation of electrons triggered by light in photocatalysis is strongly influenced by the position of the band gap. To be effective as a photocatalyst, the material must have a conduction band with a high positive potential compared to the electron accepting potential. Doping metal oxides such as CuO, MgO, Fe2O3, and ZnO into TiO2 can change the band edge properties or surface states which can increase light absorption. This research presents the synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles as photoanodes doped using metal oxides to evaluate characteristic that can influence DSSC performance. TiO2 nanoparticles doped with metal oxide were synthesized using the solvothermal method and characterized by XRD, SEM-EDX, FTIR, and UV-Vis. Comprehensive analysis of samples doped with metal oxides significantly affects the crystal structure, morphology, elemental composition, and optical properties of the material. The results showed that Cu-doped TiO2 samples allowed for the most significant performance improvement in DSSC, followed by Fe-doped TiO2, Mg-doped TiO2, and Zn-doped TiO2, with pure TiO2 having the lowest performance potential. These results provide important insights into material optimization to improve DSSC efficiency.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to understand how the village fund allocation is managed in Timbong Village, Central Banggai Subdistrict, Banggai Laut Regency. The research utilizes George R. Terry's theory, which divides management into four basic functions: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. A qualitative approach with a descriptive type is employed in this study. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with the selection of seven informants chosen purposively. The findings indicate that the management of village fund allocation in Timbong Village, Central Banggai Subdistrict, Banggai Laut Regency, is hindered by insufficient communication among the village government, the Village Consultative Body (VCB), and the community, resulting in incomplete oversight by the Village Consultative Body and the community.

Abstract

The legal profession of advocates holds an important role within Indonesia’s legal system. As legal enforcers tasked with providing legal assistance and protecting the legal interests of their clients, advocates serve not only as defenders in judicial proceedings but also as guardians of balance in law enforcement and protectors of human rights. This study aims to analyze the role of advocates in law enforcement, particularly in safeguarding clients’ legal interests based on Law Number 18 of 2003 concerning Advocates. The research employs a normative legal method with an analytical and statute approach through literature studies of legislation, books, and relevant journals. The results indicate that advocates play a strategic role in ensuring justice, legal certainty, and the protection of clients’ rights at every stage of the legal process—criminal, civil, and administrative. Advocates are also obliged to provide free legal aid to underprivileged communities. In carrying out their profession, advocates are required to uphold the code of ethics, integrity, and independence in order to maintain the dignity of the profession and uphold the rule of law. Thus, advocates serve as a key pillar in realizing a fair, transparent, and socially just judicial system for all citizens.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity, profitability, and leverage on firm value, with dividend policy as a mediating variable, in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2023 period. Firm value is an important indicator in assessing a company's performance and prospects. Fundamental factors such as liquidity, profitability, and leverage can influence market perception, while dividend policy acts as a financial signal that can strengthen this relationship. This study uses a quantitative method with a Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. Liquidity variables are measured using Current Ratio (CR) Quick Ratio (QR), profitability using Return on Assets (ROA) Return on Equity (ROE) and Net Profit Margin (NPM), leverage using Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), dividend policy using Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), Dividend Yield (DY), and company value using Price to Book Value (PBV) and TOBIN'S Q. The results of the study indicate that liquidity has a negative and significant effect on company value through dividend policy. Profitability has a positive but insignificant effect on company value either directly or through dividend policy. Meanwhile, leverage has a positive and significant effect on company value, including through dividend policy. These results emphasize the importance of managing financial structure and dividend policy as a strategy to increase company value.
