Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar peserta didik sekolah dasar melalui pengenalan berbagai macam profesi. Kegiatan dilakukan di sekolah dasar negeri Ngadirejan Kecamatan Pringkuku, Kabupaten Pacitan dengan sasaran siswa kelas 1,2 dan 3. Metode pelaksanaan adalah diskusi, tanya jawab dan bermain game. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah tumbuhnya minat dan motivasi siswa untuk belajar setelah mengenal berbagai macam profesi.

Abstract

Distance learning during the pandemic raises many problems such as internet network limitations, bandwidth cap and fully-loaded tasks of teachers and students. This study aims to provide a theoretical illustration of project-based learning for distance learning classes. The researchers used the library method with several stages, including determining problems and research objects, collecting data, classifying and eliminating data based on needs, doing relevance checks, synthesizing findings and describing results. The analysis was conducted qualitatively based on classified data according to the research needs.. The results of the study indicate that project-based learning is suitable to be used as an alternative of distance learning during the pandemic with six aspects of considerations: 1) readiness , 2) safety, 3) monitoring, 4) thematic,

Abstract

Pembelajaran keragaman budaya di SD Negeri Menadi telah memanfaatkan berbagai metode dan media penunjang seperti poster serta ular tangga budaya. Meskipun mendapat respon positif dan antusias dari siswa, tetapi penggunaan media tersebut belum optimal karena berfokus pada hafalan dan pengulangan informasi yang disampaikan guru. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya pengembangan media pembelajaran baru untuk mengenalkan dan memberikan pengalaman belajar sambil bermain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, 1) Mengetahui kelayakan media Kartu Nusantara Cinta Indonesia (KUNCI) untuk mengenalkan keragaman budaya pada siswa kelas VI SD Negeri Menadi, dan 2) Mengetahui respon guru serta siswa kelas VI SD Negeri Menadi terhadap penggunaan media Kartu Nusantara Cinta Indonesia (KUNCI) dalam pembelajaran. Peneliti menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Penggunaan metode dan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE menunjukkan alur yang sitematis dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan keabsahannya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SD Negeri Menadi sebanyak 6 siswa pada tahap uji coba dan 17 siswa pada tahap uji lapangan. Hasil temuan pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Kartu Nusantara Cinta Indonesia (KUNCI) memenuhi kriteria, yaitu: 1) Hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh rata-rata presentase 85% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, sedangkan validasi ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata presentase 89% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. 2) Hasil uji coba produk memperoleh presentase 98% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, dan mengalami peningkatan pada hasil uji lapangan memperoleh presentase 100% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Hasil observasi peneliti dan wawancara respon guru menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Kartu Nusantara Cinta Indonesia (KUNCI) mampu mengenalkan keragaman budaya Indonesia kepada siswa melalui kegiatan belajar sambil bermain. Media Kartu Nusantara Cinta Indonesia (KUNCI) membantu siswa mengembangkan sikap menghargai perbedaan budaya dan menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, menyenangkan, dan bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the SEMUT (Sejenak Memungut) Garbage Troop program at Alam Pacitan School and to describe the role of teachers in fostering students environmental awareness through the program. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data sources from grade I–III teachers and representatives of grade III students at Alam Pacitan School. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation, as well as credibility testing through source and technique triangulation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the SEMUT Troop program has been implemented according to aspects and indicators, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. However, the level of community participation still needs to be improved. The role of teachers in fostering environmental awareness is evident in various concrete actions carried out with full commitment. Teachers as educators who set an example by getting used to disposing of waste and managing waste properly. Teachers provide appreciation for efforts made as motivators. Teachers as mentors demonstrate commitment in creating activities that reduce the use of single-use items. Teachers train students by inviting them to do direct practice. Teachers as facilitators who provide a place for skill development through innovative project activities that are in line with the 5R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replant, Replace).

Abstract

Picture story books are able to attract attention because their appearance is very much liked by children, reading picture stories stimulates children's imagination and curiosity about an event. This study aims to determine the learning process and results of students' reading activities using picture story books in improving the early reading skills of grade II students at SDN 1 Sedeng. This study uses a qualitative research type, with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study included the homeroom teacher for grade II and 7 grade II students at SDN 1 Sedeng. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of this study in the use of picture story books in grade II of SDN 1 Sedeng effectively improved students' reading skills, especially for those who were slow readers. Interesting illustrations and simple texts make students more enthusiastic and easy to understand the contents of the story. Although there are obstacles such as excessive focus on pictures and difficulty reading long words, this media still helps increase students' interest, understanding, and participation in learning.

Abstract

The formation of students’ environmental care character can be realized through the implementation of green habits. Green habits are positive behaviors carried out consciously to foster an attitude of caring for the environment in schools. This study aims to examine the implementation of green habits in shaping students’ environmental care character at SDN 2 Tanjungpuro, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique employed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of green habits is carried out in daily activities through various routines. The implementation is supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure, role modeling from school members, and active student participation. However, there are still obstacles, such as students’ inconsistent awareness and the influence of peers.

Abstract

Beginning reading skills are basic abilities that elementary school students must master to build a foundation for understanding learning materials. This study aims to describe the initial reading skills of third-grade students at SDN 1 Gunungsari, identify the factors that influence them, and explain the strategies teachers use to develop these skills. The study employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and a case study design. The research subjects include a third-grade teacher and 15 students. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, tests, questionnaires, and documentation and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that 13 students have good initial reading skills, while 2 students still experience difficulties in phonetic aspects, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. Reading ability is influenced by both internal and external factors. The teacher implements loud reading exercises, group reading, and the use of letter cards and word cards, as well as learning assistance according to student needs, to enhance initial reading skills in a continuous, effective, and comprehensive manner for all students.
