Abstract

This study is about the potential prejudice sparked internal conflict of Muslims, especially between the group Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and the Council of Tafsir Al-Qur'an (MTA) in Surakarta. Lately there is a conflict between NU and the MTA congregation. MTA is questioned by NU in some areas because of the materials and methods of preaching/dakwah considered to be provocative and less likely to appreciate the difference fiqhiyah and abusive deeds done by NU. From the reason above, the conflict between these two Islamic organizations appeared. One of the triggers that caused the internal conflict among Muslims is the certain group of Muslims can not understand well the other religious groups, which have different ideological backgrounds; that it affects the way of thinking, behaving and acting that are different from themselves. As a result, the internal relations marred by religious conflict, caused by the internal religious prejudice. Similarly, the possibility that occurred among the group of NU and MTA.***Penelitian ini adalah tentang potensi memicu prasangka konflik internal umat Islam, terutama antara kelompok Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dan Majelis Tafsir Al-Qur'an (MTA) di Surakarta. Akhir-akhir ini ada konflik antara NU dan jemaat MTA. MTA dipertanyakan/diperdebatkan oleh NU di beberapa daerah karena bahan dan metode dakwah/dakwah dianggap/cenderung provokatif dan cenderung tidak menghargai perbedaan fiqhiyah dengan perbuatan kasar yang dilakukan oleh NU. Dari alasan di atas, konflik antara kedua organisasi Islam telah terjadi/ muncul. Salah satu pemicu yang menyebabkan konflik internal di kalangan umat Islam adalah kelompok tertentu umat Islam tidak bisa memahami dengan baik kelompok agama lain, yang memiliki latar belakang ideologi yang berbeda, se­hingga mempengaruhi cara berpikir, bersikap dan bertindak yang berbeda dari diri mereka sendiri. Akibatnya, hubungan internal yang dirusak oleh konflik agama, disebabkan oleh prasangka keagamaan internal. Demikian pula, ke­mungkin­an yang terjadi di antara kelompok NU dan MTA.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the traditional art form Rodat Walisongo serves as a medium for promoting religious moderation values. This topic is grounded in the continuing issues of radicalism and the potential for religiously motivated conflict in society, necessitating an intensified campaign for religious moderation through various means, including traditional arts. This research employs a qualitative approach. The primary data source is the Rodat Walisongo traditional art group. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study’s findings reveal that Rodat Walisongo is a medium for promoting religious moderation values through four indicators defined by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. First, strengthening national commitment is demonstrated through Indonesian symbols such as the national flag on costumes and performances, patriotic songs, and Rodat Walisongo songs that convey a spirit of unity. Second, fostering religious tolerance is achieved by creating new songs, including Rukun Ing Ngagomo (Harmony in Religion) and Ngagomo Ora Iso Dipekso (Religion Cannot Be Forced), which embody the principles of interfaith harmony and encourage Muslims to adopt a moderate stance that respects other faiths, reflecting Islam’s message of peace (rahmatan lil 'alamin). Third, the reinforcement of anti-violence values is conveyed through synchronized and harmonious movements in Rodat dance, symbolizing unity, peace, and solidarity. Fourth, local culture is promoted through revitalizing Rodat Walisongo as a valuable cultural heritage that should be preserved and passed on to younger generations. ***** Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap bagaimana seni tradisi rodat Walisongo dipergunakan sebagai media untuk mengkampanyekan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama. Ada hal yang mendasari pentingnya kajian ini, yaitu masih adanya radikalisme dan potensi konflik atas nama agama di masyarakat, sehingga dibutuhkan kampanye moderasi beragama yang intensif melalui berbagai media, termasuk melalui media seni tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah group seni tradisi rodat Walisongo. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu seni tradisi rodat Walisongo dipergunakan sebagai media kampanye nilai-nilai moderasi beragama melalui 4 (empat) indikator moderasi beragama Kementerian Agama, yakni: Pertama, penguatan komitmen kebangsaan, yaitu melalui penggunaan atribut pertunjukan dan seragam dengan bendera Merah Putih sebagai lambang negara Indonesia, serta menyanyikan lagu-lagu perjuangan, maupun lagu-lagu seni rodat Walisongo yang memiliki semangat perjuangan. Kedua, penguatan toleransi beragama, yaitu dengan menciptakan lagu baru yang mengandung unsur-unsur kerukunan antar umat beragama yang berjudul Rukun Ing Ngagomo (rukun dalam beragama) dan Ngagomo Ora Iso Dipekso (beragama tidak dapat dipaksa). Dua lagu tersebut mencerminkan ajaran toleransi beragama yaitu mengajak muslim untuk menjadi umat moderat, yang menghormati dan menghargai penganut agama lain, serta mencerminkan ajaran Islam yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Ketiga, penguatan nilai-nilai anti kekerasan, yaitu melalui gerak langkah dalam tari rodat yang memperlihatkan kebersamaan, kekompakan dan kedamaian. Keempat, penguatan budaya lokal, yaitu melalui revitalisasi seni rodat Walisongo, sebagai seni tradisi lokal yang harus dilestarikan keberadaannya dan diwariskan kepada generasi muda.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the hierarchy of influence of da'wah messages broadcast by the Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP) Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Bengkulu. This research reviews how the structure of delivering the content of da'wah messages and the dominant hierarchical factors have an influence on the Mutiara Ramadhan program. This research used a descriptive-qualitative approach. Researchers interviewed key informants, in-depth interviews with broadcasters and program performers to obtain a more comprehensive perspective. Researchers made observations of the Mutiara Ramadhan program, and analyzed documents on the content that had been broadcast.  As an analytical tool, this research used the hierarchy of influence theory to examine the influence of da'wah messages. The research had resulted show that two main factors in the Hierarchy of Media Content Influence review influence the existence of the Mutiara Ramadhan program.  Internal media factors, aspects of workers (individuals) who are Muslim, are used to Islamic broadcasting programs during Ramadan, and the routine every time during Ramadhan is to always present Islamic broadcasting programs (Media Routine). As for external media factors, such as organizational structure, through policies, policy makers encourage the Mutiara Ramadhan program. Apart from that, at the media institutional level, considering that RRI Bengkulu's loyal listening audience is predominantly Muslim, the total population of 98% of the Muslim population is taken into consideration. Then, the level of Social System or Ideology is shown by the entire leadership structure being Muslim, and the majority of workers being Muslim, so there is an interest in maintaining their ideological beliefs.
