Abstract

This research tries to see how the position of online games as a medium of intercultural communication, in terms of benefits, positive and negative. In this study the writer used a qualitative descriptive research method, where the writer will describe how the game is used as a medium to communicate with people of different cultures. The description of this game is done by comparing it with how social media applications work in general. The results of the study show that the Genshin Impact game can be used as a medium to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the message in the animated film Zootopia. Film as a product of mass media, contains a message to be conveyed by the maker. However, not a few film lovers are immersed in the story and visuals presented, thus ignoring the message that is full of meaning in it. For this reason, this study was conducted to analyze the messages contained in this film. This study uses a qualitative method, with a semiotic analysis approach. The results of the study indicate that this film contains a satirical message against the government bureaucracy.
