Abstract

The learning achievement of the Education Statistics course is students are able to understand and apply statistical methods in research using applications such as excel and SPSS, the problem is there are students who don’t understand statistical methods both in theory and practice. Empirical data on various statistical methods used in research are needed in increasing student competence. Therefore, this study aims to (1) identify the statistical methods used in research (2) Calculate the frequency of use of each statistical method. This research is quantitative research with descriptive statistics analysis. The research variable is the type of statistical method used in the undergraduate thesis of PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang students in the odd semester 2021/2022. Data collection is drawn by census. The data source used is the repository website of UIN Walisongo Semarang. Identification of the types of statistical methods in the PAI thesis shows that there are 57 theses in the odd semester 2021/2022, divided into quantitative research (10 theses) and qualitative (47 theses). In the thesis with quantitative research, there are 7 (seven) kinds of statistical methods, namely: Central tendention (10 theses), standard deviation (10 theses), simple linear regression (8 theses), frequency distribution table (6 theses) , bar graph (6 thesis); correlation analysis (5 thesis), and pie chart (1 thesis). This means that there is little interest in quantitative research in the PAI study program, and the most popular statistical methods are Central tendention, and standard deviation, while pie charts are less popular

Abstract

Penelitian ini di bertujuan menganalisis penggunaan aplikasi Google Meet dengan minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran PAI. jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey dengan analisis korelasi dan statistika deskriptif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling pada Kelas VII SMP Negeri 31 Semarang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Penggunaan aplikasi Google Meet pada pelajaran PAI dikategorikan sering, dengan rata-rata skor kuesioner sebesar 57,70. 2) Minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran PAI tinggi, dengan rata-rata skor kuesioner sebesar 103,48. 3) Penggunaan aplikasi Google Meet (X) dengan minat belajar siswa (Y) pada pelajaran PAI memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dan cukup kuat. Hal ini berdasarkan nilai rhitung 0,575 > rtabel (152; 0,05) 0,159. Kemudian hasil uji signifikansi korelasi / nilai-t (thitung) sebesar 8,608 > dari ttabel (150; 0,05) 1,976. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan dan cukup kuat antara penggunaan aplikasi Google Meet dengan Minat Belajar Siswa pada Pelajaran PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam).

Abstract

This study discussed the influence of self-concept and interpersonal communication on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education and Characteristics (PAI-BP) of 8thclass students of SMP N 2 Juwana. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of self-concept and interpersonal communication on learning outcomes of PAI-BP. This research is a quantitative study using multiple linear regression analysis. The Data was collected by using simple random sampling survey with the sample 152 and population 245 students of 8th class. The data collection technique was questionnaire method and a written test. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that there was a significant influence between self-concept and interpersonal communication on the learning outcomes of PAI-BP and the coefficient of determination was 0.625. The coefficient of determination showed that the regression model represented 62,5% of data variance, and 37.5% was represented by other variables outside the regression model.

Abstract

There were discrepancies between applications of quantitative research, that is statistical methods, and qualitative research. In PAI Program, 26% of theses used quantitative research, and 74% qualitative. The cause was not known, but there were several reasons why this inequality should not be too big. First, sciences should always be approached, dissected, and analyzed using qualitative, quantitative, or mix-methods. Second, students' perceptions of statistics was in the good category, although there were only a few studies regarding this. For reducing this discrepancy, this study proposed to identify the relevance of applying statistical methods methodologically in research. This study used descriptive qualitative research. The data was thesis of S.1 PAI programm in UIN Walisongo Semarang 2020/2021 collected by census.There are irrelevance in applications of statistical methods. First, applications of simple linear regression analysis have 7 missinterpretation and analysis results were incomplete. Second, applications of correlation analysis have 5 misinterpretations, and analysis results were incomplete. Third, applications of multiple linear regression analysis have 2 missinterpretations, but analysis results were completed. Fourth, applications of central tendency have 1 misinterpretation, but analisis results were complete. Fifth, applications of Bar chart have 1 misinterpretation, and the chart anatomies were incomplete.
