<![CDATA[Abstract. Globally more than 300 million people suffer from serious fungal infections and more than 7.7 million people annually in Indonesia. The treatments for fungal infection is antifungal drugs, but antifungals drug have a risk of resistance. so we need to use natural ingredients for an alternative. In this study, the antifungal activity of fig fruit (Ficus carica L.) ethanol extract was tested against the fungus Aspergillus niger. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of the ethanol extract of figs (Ficus carica L.) against fungus Aspergillus nigers and to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) against the fungus Aspergillus niger. The research method is agar diffusion with 6 mm diameter paper discs. The ethanol extract of fig (Ficus carica L.) has a tendency to inhibit the growth activity of the fungus Aspergillus niger and the strongest tendency to inhibit at a concentration of 30%. The determination of the MIC value has not been determined because in a concentration of 0.9375% there is a clear zone diameter in the fungus Aspergillus niger. Abstrak. Secara global lebih dari 300 juta orang menderita infeksi jamur serius dan lebih dari 7,7 juta orang pada setiap tahunnya di negara Indonesia. Salah satu pengobatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan diberinya obat antijamur, namun antijamur dalam penggunaannya memiliki resiko terjadinya resistensi. Maka diperlukannya alternatif untuk mengobatinya dan salah satunya adalah penggunaan bahan alam. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji aktivitas antijamur ekstrak etanol buah tin (Ficus carica L.) terhadap Aspergillus niger. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui aktivitas ekstrak etanol buah tin (Ficus carica L.) terhadap Aspergillus nigers serta menetapkan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) terhadap jamur Aspergillus niger. Metode penelitiannya adalah difusi agar dengan cakram kertas berdiameter 6 mm. Ekstrak etanol buah tin (Ficus carica L.) memiliki kecenderungan menghambat aktivitas pertumbuhan jamur Aspergillus niger dan kecenderungan menghambat paling kuat pada konsnetrasi 30%. Penetapan nilai KHM belum bisa ditentukan karena dalam konsentrasi 0,9375% terdapat diameter zona bening pada jamur Aspergillus niger.]]>
