Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini fokus pada pemahaman kebiasaan nelayan Tidung dalam mencari ikan melalui banyaknya leksem timug ‘air’ yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam aktivitas kenelayan. Untuk alasan itulah pemahaman tentang timug ‘air’ menjadi jembatan untuk menjelaskan kognisi nelayan Tidung terkait dengan praktek kenelayanan. Pertanyaan inti yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengkategorian timug ‘air’ dalam bahasa Tidung; apa hubungannya nelayan Tidung menggunakan kategori tersebut dalam segala aktivitas kenelayanannya. Pengumpulan data ditempuh melalui serangkaian proses yang dimulai dari pengumpulan pustaka dan dokumen tentang suku Tidung, pengamatan langsung yang melibatkan diri pada aktivitas nelayan Tidung dan dilakukan wawancara mendalam terkait segala aktivitas nelayan Tidung yang dipandu dari permasalahan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengkategorian timug mendasari setiap aktivitas kenelayanan dari nelayan Tidung dalam hal waktu tepat melaut dan pulang  melaut, ketepatan pemilihan alat tangkap, target jenis ikan yang ditangkap. ABSTRACT This research focuses its attention on understanding the fishing habits of Tidung fishermen which assign plenty words of timug ‘water’. For this reason, understanding of water becomes the initial bridge to understand the knowledge/cognitive of the practice of Tidung tribe fishing. The main questions inquired in this research are how ‘timug’ categorization in Tidung language and what the correlation between Tidung fishermen use ‘timug’ categorization in their fishing activities. Data collection was carried out through a series of processes that began with the collection of literature and documents about the Tidung tribe, direct observations that involved the researcher in the activities of Tidung fishermen and in-depth interviews related to all the activities of Tidung fishermen based on research problems. The results of the study show that the timug ‘water’ categorization in Tidung language were  important and determine on the fishing patterns activities in terms of the right time  going to sea and going back to sea, the accuracy of the selection of fishing gear, the target of the type of fish caught  that carried out by Tidung fishermen.

Abstract

Language reflects human conceptualization and interpretation of the world. A speaker’s perception of the world is organized or constrained by the linguistic categories his or her language offers, that language structure determines thought, how one experience and hence how one views the world. This paper describes lexicons of ethno-fishery and local wisdom of Bugis language in terms of the speaker’s conceptualization or interpretation of ethno-fishery. The research located in Tarakan, East Kalimantan by selecting farmer community of Bugis people. Spradley concept is used to determine informant. The principle requires that an informant must understand the culture. The interview of informants was performed by using snowballing technique. The data, mostly, are utterances and dialogues and are taken with a camera-phone and also note-taking techniques. The data, then, are verified and classified in its smaller forms, i.e. lexicon. Then, the lexicon was interpreted base on the cultural understanding sense. The result shows that the Bugis language has many lexicons of the water, soil, plant, and shrimp in Bugis cultural category.

Abstract

Language reflects human conceptualization as how the Javanese conceptualize their ideas and thought in their utterances. The Javanese utterances usually use the lexicon of direction in their daily activities, such as in telling places, jobs, phatic communication, etc. The culture-specific values of the Javanese people are often revealed through languagespecific expressions, especially about the giving direction. The method of analyzing data uses referential identity method with the basic technique of dividing-key-factors and competence-in-dividing. The result of the research shows: 1. All aspects of the Javanese life involves the sense of directions such as North, South, West, East, and Central. 2. The Javanese use lexicons of the sense of direction in their daily activities such as in telling places, jobs, and phatic communication. By knowing this concept of direction, the Javanese’s perspective of the world can be understood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of external macroeconomic factors represented by US bond yields, the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar, and the Standard and Poor's 500 (S&P 500 index) on the Jakarta Composite Stock Price Index with monthly data. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Then do the T test to test the partial effect of the independent variables, F test to test the simultaneous effect of the independent variables and test the coefficient of determination. To find out the feasibility of the research model, a classical assumption test was also carried out. The results of the study are that all independent variables have an overall significant effect on the Jakarta composite index. While partially the United States bond yield variable and the S&P 500 index have a positive and significant effect on the JCI. On the other hand, the rupiah exchange rate variable against the US dollar has a negative and significant effect on the Jakarta Composite Stock Price Index.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to describe the character education values found in the poetry collection Curahan Cinta Kami, Antologi Puisi Bersama (share poetry anthology). The method used in this research in descriptive qualitative. The data consists of word, verses, and lines from the poems that contain character education values. The data source is the Curahan Cinta Kami Anthology Poetry Collection, published in Surabaya in 2020 by CV. Kanaka Media, with a total of 150 pages. The collection includes 120 poems written by Hasto Budi Santoso, Iskandar Muda, Wartono, Marwah, Mambo, and Nurbaya. Each author contributed 20 poems. Data collection techniques involved reading, listening, and note-taking. The sata analysis followed data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results reveal character education values in 22 poems, with contributions of 3 poems by Hasto Budi Santoso, 12 by Iskandar Muda, 2 by Wartono, 1 by Marwah, 3 by Mambo and 1 by Nurbaya. The analysis identified nine-character educations values within the Curahan Cinta Kami poetry collection, including, 10 instances of religious values, 4 of hard work, 3 of independence, 2 of appreciating achievement, 2 of nasional spirit, 1 of responsibility, 1 of patriotism, 1 of environmental care, and 1 of friendship, the most dominant value found is religious character education, with 10 occurrences.  Keywords: Character Education Values, Poetry, Sociology of Literature  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat didalam kumpulan Puisi Curahan Cinta Kami Antologi Puisi Bersama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata, bait serta lirik puisi yang mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter sedangkan sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah buku kumpulan puisi Curahan Cinta Kami Antologi Puisi Bersama yang diterbitkan di surabaya, pada tahun 2020 oleh penerbit CV. Kanaka Media dengan jumlah 150 halaman. Pada kumpulan puisi Curahan Cinta kami Antologi Puisi Bersama sebanyak 120 puisi yang ditulis oleh Hasto Budi Santoso, Iskandar Muda, Wartono, Marwah, Mambo dan Nurbaya. Hasto menulis 20 puisi, Iskandar muda menulis 20 puisi ditulis oleh Iskandar Muda, 20 Puisi ditulis Wartono, 20 Puisi ditulis oleh Marwah dan 20 puisi ditulis oleh Mambo, 20 Puisi ditulis oleh Nurbaya. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca, teknik simak dan teknik catat. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini banyak ditemukan nilai pendidikan karakter sebanyak 22 puisi yang masing masing 3 puisi ditulis oleh Hasto Budi Santoso, 12 puisi ditulis oleh Iskandar Muda, 2 puisi ditulis oleh Wartono, 1 Puisi ditulis oleh Marwah, 3 Puisi ditulis oleh Mambo dan 1 puisi ditulis oleh Nurbaya.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam kumpulan puisi Curahan Cinta kami Antologi Puisi Bersama terdapat 9 nilai pendidikan karakter diantaranya yakni; 10 nilai religius. 4 nilai kerja keras, 3 nilai mandiri, 2 nilai menghargai prestasi, 2 nilai semangat kebangsaan, 1 nilai tanggung jawab, 1 nilai cinta tanah air, 1 nilai peduli lingkungan, dan 1 nilai bersahabat. Dari 9 nilai pendidikan karakter tersebut yang paling dominan adalah  nilai pendidikan karakter religius sebanyak 10 data.  Kata kunci: Nilai Pendidikan, Karakter, Puisi, Sosiologi Sastra.
