Abstract

The tourism industry is one of the main supporting factors for the economy in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the factors that influence the tourism industry and their impact on unemployment, Small and Medium Enterprises, Poverty, and Human Development Index. The research method used an explanatory research study, which aims to test hypotheses about the relationship between variables with ordinary least square, multiple and simple linear regression, statistical descriptive analysis, and classical assumption test. Data processing that used is secondary data, 2005 to 2020 (quarterly), using econometrics Eviews application, 10 version. The results of this study found that foreign tourist visits, rupiah exchange rate, infrastructure, inflation, and tourist destinations had a significant simultaneous effect to the tourism industry. Partially, negative and significant effects on the rupiah exchange rate, and inflation. The tourism industry has negative and significant effect on unemployment and poverty. Furthermore, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Human Development Index has positive and significant effect to tourism industry.

Abstract

The problem faced by developing countries is the welfare of their country. One of Indonesia's national development plans was carried out in order to realize efforts to improve community welfare. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the growth of MSMEs in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The research method used in the research is ordinary least squares multiple and simple linear regression on panel data. The independent variables used are financing, investment, cooperatives, infrastructure and tourist visits, while the dependent variable is the growth of the MSME sector. The research results show that: Financing, investment, cooperatives, infrastructure and tourist visits simultaneously and partially influence the empowerment of the MSME sector.

Abstract

This research examines the capacity building strategies for village officials in improving the quality of public services in the administrative area of Sumowono District, Semarang Regency. Capacity development of village officials is a key factor in effective village governance and quality service delivery to communities. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation studies in five sample villages in Sumowono District. The results show that the capacity development strategies implemented include administrative technical training, mentoring, technical guidance, and village information system development. Supporting factors for capacity development include local government commitment, budget support, and village apparatus participation, while inhibiting factors identified include infrastructure limitations, educational background differences among officials, and personnel turnover. This research recommends strengthening continuous training programs, improving inter-institutional coordination, and enhancing monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure the effectiveness of village officials' capacity development.
