Abstract

This paper aims to analyze how Turkey's military intervention against the PYD group in Syria. As the effect of the Arab Spring, Syria has been encountering a civil war that involves not only state actors but also non-state actors such as the YPG/PYD group or the Democratic Union Party to gain recognition and political sovereignty for Kurdish groups in Syria. The YPG/PYD is an affiliate of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) in Turkey, which is considered a terrorist group by the government because of its actions opposed government policies since the independence of modern Turkey era. In the midst of political instability in Syria, the Turkish government believes that the political nature and military power of the PKK and its allies in the region can jeopardize Turkey’s security and politic stability, which geographically borders Syria. This research uses descriptive qualitative method through literature review method. Through J.G. Starke and Anthony F. Lang's theory of intervention and Barry Buzan’s National Interest, the author found that Turkey's intervention was due to the losses it would incur if the PYG/PYD's ability to strengthen Kurdish groups in Syria.

Abstract

The Qur'anic sima'an method is used to maintain and strengthen the memorization of the Qur'an, so that the memorization is maintained and smooth. In sima'an activities, memorizers can mark verses that have similar sounds, making it easier for them to remember and compare. Pondok Pesantren Mahasiswa Al-Hikam Malang applies this method to help tahfidz students maintain their memorization. This study aims to describe the implementation of the sima'an Al-Qur'an method in improving the memorization of female tahfidz students in this pesantren, as well as identifying the supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a qualitative approach, this study collected data through interviews, observations, and documentation with data sources from ustadzah, administrators, and female tahfidz students. Analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and data validity is guaranteed by source triangulation. The results showed that the sima'an method was applied through ziyadah sima'an, muraja'ah, and joint sima'an activities. Supporting factors include self, parental support, ustadzah guidance, the role of administrators, strong intentions, and remembering the time of sima'an. The inhibiting factors include lack of accuracy, looking at the Mushaf when memorizing, laziness, the influence of cellphones, rushing, difficulty managing time, and mutasyabihat verses

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of ethics for educators and students based on the views of Habib Zein bin Sumaith in the book al-Manhaj al-Sawi Syarh Ushul Thariqah al-Sadah al-Ba'alawi. The purpose of this study is to examine the ethics that must be owned by educators and students according to the book. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, and the data analyzed comes from primary and secondary sources. The results show that the ethics of educators include justice, honesty, wisdom, zuhud, tawaduk, and gentleness towards students. While the ethics of learners include heart cleansing, good learning goals, tawaduk, and simplicity in life.

Abstract

Pelatihan dan pendampingan kepemimpinan serta manajemen organisasi merupakan pendekatan strategis dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pengurus organisasi mahasiswa, khususnya Himpunan Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam (HMPS PAI) STAI Ma’had Aly Al-Hikam Malang. Program ini dirancang melalui tiga tahapan utama: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan peserta, perumusan tujuan, penyusunan materi, serta penentuan narasumber yang relevan. Tahap pelaksanaan mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik menggunakan pendekatan berbasis nilai-nilai lokal, keagamaan, dan konsep manajemen modern untuk menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang holistik. Tahap evaluasi digunakan untuk menilai relevansi materi, tingkat pemahaman peserta, dan efektivitas pelatihan melalui kuesioner, pengamatan langsung, serta tugas implementasi pasca-pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu menerapkan keterampilan kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisasi yang diperoleh dalam konteks nyata organisasi mereka. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi teknis, tetapi juga membentuk karakter kepemimpinan mahasiswa yang adaptif dan berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. Temuan ini mendukung pentingnya pengembangan pelatihan berbasis pengalaman langsung dalam memperkuat kapasitas pengurus organisasi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This training and mentoring program aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity of youth in Lang-Lang Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency, through the production of flavored banana chips. Utilizing the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the program identifies and leverages local assets particularly banana cultivation to develop value-added products. Participants received practical training in banana processing, flavor development, modern packaging techniques, and digital marketing. As a result, the youth improved their technical skills and successfully produced high-quality banana chips with innovative flavors such as chocolate and tiramisu. They also expanded market reach through platforms like Instagram and Shopee. The initiative not only enhances individual entrepreneurial competencies but also contributes to local economic development. This program exemplifies a sustainable and replicable model for community-based economic empowerment by promoting youth engagement, local resource utilization, and digital literacy in rural enterprise development.
