Abstract

Pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik makan gizi seimbang dikenal dengan istilah perilaku makan. Perilaku makan dapat mempengaruhi status gizi seseorang sebagai akibat dari asupan zat-zat gizi yang dikonsumsi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku makan dan status gizi pada mahasiswi Jurusan Gizi Poltekkes Kemenkes Medan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Poltekkes Kemenkes Medan Jurusan Gizi pada mahasiswi. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat observasi dengan rancangan Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 68 mahasiswi terdiri dari mahasiswi D-III tingkat I dan II. Pengumpulan data terdiri dari data pengetahuan, sikap, praktik makan dan status gizi. Data pengetahuan, sikap, praktik makan gizi seimbang dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner. Data status gizi didapatkan dengan membanding Indeks Masa Tubuh dengan umur (IMT/U). Analisis data univariat secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan mahasiswi tentang gizi seimbang dengan kategori cukup sebesar 50,0%, sikap tentang gizi seimbang dengan kategori positif sebesar 80,9%, praktik makan tentang gizi seimbang dengan kategori baik sebesar 72,1%. Status gizi sebagian besar mahasiswi (76,5%) dengan kategori normal. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi sumber informasi tentang perilaku makan dan status gizi mahasiswi di Jurusan Gizi Poltekkes Kemenkes Medan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Breastmilk (ASI) is the best life fluid that is needed by babies, containing various important substances for the baby's growth and development according to their needs. The success of breastfeeding is influenced by the nutrients consumed by the mother during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This study was conducted to determine the effect of breastfeeding counseling using bookletters on breastfeeding behavior in Percut Sei Tuan District. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (Quasy experiment) with a pre-test research design and a post-test design with a comparison group. Conducted in March - August 2020, the samples were breastfeeding mothers in Percut Sei Tuan District in Cinta Rakyat Village as an intervention group and breastfeeding mothers in Cinta Damai Village as a comparison group. Samples and controls were selected by "purposive sampling" each of 30 samples. The data consisted of primary data and secondary data, processed and univariate analysis was carried out to see the frequency distribution based on knowledge and attitudes in the menu selection of breastfeeding mothers followed by bivariate analysis using the dependent t-test to compare knowledge, attitudes and actions of respondent eating before (pre) and after (post) counseling. From the research conducted, there were differences in the knowledge of mothers from the intervention group and the comparison group, there were differences in attitudes in the two groups, and there were differences in actions in the two groups after counseling using booklet media. Booklet-based counseling influences the mother's actions in breastfeeding her baby. Keywords: breastfeeding, counseling, booklets, breastfeeding behavior

Abstract

Food handler is a major factor of food poisoning because it directly touches food. The knowledge and attitude of food handler on hygiene and sanitation can affect the application of hygiene and sanitation in food maintenance process. Poor hygiene and sanitation in food maintenance can affect the quality of food produced. Efforts to improve food-enhancing skills to produce quality food, there is a need for food hygiene and sanitation training. The purpose of this study was to analyses the effect of hygiene and sanitation training on the knowledge, attitudes and action of food-processor. This is a quasi experiment study with pre and post test draft with 12 samples. Knowledge, attitudes and practices data were obtained through questionnaires. The results show that there was a significant improvement before and after the training (knowledge : 6.08±0.99 and 7.83±0.93) values P = 0,000, the sample attitude 18.08 ± 1.56 to 25.25 ± 1.42 values P = 0,000 and practices 9.67±2.30 to 15.75±1.35. Another results showed that there were affect of hygiene and sanitation training of knowledge (p = 0,000 < 0.05), attitude (p=0,000 < 0.05) and action (p = 0,000 < 0.05) food handler in the nutrition installation of Deli Serdang regional hospital.
