Abstract

Color cannot be separated from the field of fine arts, because color is an important element that has a role and classification. In the modern era, color comes in the form of manufactured products, many of which are made with chemicals, and it is not uncommon for the manufacturing process, use and waste to endanger the environment and the health of users. Based on the problems above, this research is considered important to carry out as an effort to create environmentally friendly paint that can be applied to various media. The method in this research is an exploratory method. The results of this research are formulations of the composition of various paints in their application to various mediums, especially painting on paper, canvas, wood and iron. The results of this research can be applied to various subjects or courses in fine arts practice. Furthermore, it can be used by the general public to beautify the products they create without having to sacrifice environmental sustainability and their own health. Keywords: exploration, natural pigment, fine art media ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Warna tidak bisa dipisahkan dari bidang seni rupa, karena warna merupakan salah satu unsur penting yang memiliki peran dan klasifikasi. Di era modern, warna hadir dalam bentuk produk pabrikan yang banyak dibuat dengan bahan kimia, dan tidak jarang proses pembuatan, penggunaan, dan limbahnya membahayakan kelangsungan lingkungan dan kesehatan penggunanya. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, maka penelitian ini dianggap penting untuk dilakukan sebagai upaya menciptakan cat ramah lingkungan yang dapat diaplikasikan pada berbagai media. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksplorasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa rumusan komposisi dari berbagai cat dalam pengaplikasiannya pada berbagai medium, terutama seni lukis baik kertas, kanvas, kayu, maupun besi. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat diaplikasikan pada berbagai mata pelajaran atau mata kuliah praktek seni rupa. Lebih jauh, dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat umum untuk memperindah produk ciptaannya tanpa harus mengorbankan keberlangsungan lingkungan dan kesehatan dirinya. Abstract

Flowers have been part of Indonesian tradition since ancient times. The tradition of using flowers as symbolization and funeral or traditional rituals in Indonesia is used in various regions of Indonesia, including in West Java, such as tingkeban, death ceremonies, nyekar, circumcision, grave pilgrimages, folk entertainment, and so on. In the field of modern art, flowers are used as objects in painting. In addition, school, studio and college curricula mostly use Western curricula with modern content, media and techniques. This research was carried out to create works of painting, especially on paper and glass media using natural dyes. The focus of the theme raised is the tradition of the 7 types of flowers in Sundanese culture in general. In this research, qualitative research methods were used. The creation steps can be divided into three main stages, namely; the first stage, in the form of searching for ideas or ideas; the second stage, in the form of deepening or maturation of the idea or ideas; The third stage, namely the final stage, is the realization of the work of art. It is hoped that the results of this research can add to the repertoire of Indonesian fine arts in terms of media, as well as provide an understanding to the wider audience regarding the 7 types flower tradition in West Java.

Abstract

Pamali is an oral tradition that acts as a social control that incorporates ethics and values through prohibitions or taboos, especially in children’s daily life, social life, time and place restrictions. The creation of this final project departs from the phenomenon of the fading value of the pamali tradition, especially the prohibition of activities before Maghrib in today’s younger generation. The visuals of this painting use a parody approach by combining elements of horror and facetiouness, as well as combining traditional symbols. Through humorous and witty visual exploration, pamali is no longer presented as something scary, but rather as a reflective cultural dialog and open to reinterpretation of its meaning. The creation method used is the practice-led research method, which is research conducted during the practice of the work, which is divided into three stages: (1) Pre-image stage; (2) Abstract image stage; (3) Abstract image stage. The result of this creation is a total of 3 canvases using acrylic paint, each illustrating the pamali expressions of Maghrib time.

Abstract

This creation recontextualizes the noble values of women in Sundanese culture through the medium of painting, by combining the visual strength of traditional culture through a modern aesthetic approach, in this case the mythological figure of Sunan Ambu as the main source of ideas, which is seen as having values of nobility, compassion, wisdom, justice, blessing and help. The figure of Sunan Ambu is metaphorized into a female figure in expressionism style. The process of this work uses the practice led research method, which is the process of creating works through observation, exploration of forms and techniques, strengthening the main idea and implementing the concept so as to produce works as artistic expressions related to the issue of shifting values of women today.

Abstract

Freedom is an idea that is embodied in works of art or symbolism painting with media outside the convention of painting (canvas and paper). Freedom is symbolized by goldfish as a result of the interpretation of the relevance between individual freedom and cheffish. The artwork created utilizes guitars and fiddles as a medium to paint a goldfish with a symbolism approach. The concept of freedom is the result of observations and comparisons between the concept of freedom in the anime One Piece story, the philosophy of freedom and personal experience as an individual. This work refers to Kierkegard’s theory of existentialism, namely the highest freedom is to merge with God. In the end it was concluded that freedom is sincerity.Keywords: Kierkegard existentialism, Freedom is sincerity, Symbolism Painting, Chef fish, guitar and fiddle media----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kebebasan adalah gagasan yang diwjuudkan dalam karya seni rupa atau seni lukis simbolisme dengan media di luar konvensi melukis (kanvas dan kertas). Kebebasan disimbolkan dengan ikan koki sebagai hasil interpretasi tentang relevansi antara kebebasan individu dan ikan koki. Karya seni yang diciptakan memanfaatkan gitar dan rebab sebagai media untuk melukis ikan koki dengan pendekatan simbolisme. Konsep kebebasan adalah hasil pengamatan dan perbandingan antara konsep kebebasan dalam cerita anime one piece, filsafat kebebasan dan pengalaman pribadi sebagai individu. Karya ini merujuk pada teori eksistensialisme kierkegard, yaitu kebebasan paling tinggi adalah meleburkan diri dengan Tuhan.
