Abstract

Abstract

Background: Childbirth is a physiological event which in the process causes severe pain, even some women experience excruciating pain. Emotional tension from anxiety to fear can exacerbate the perception of pain during labor. The results of the preliminary study conducted by the author at the Kebandaran Health Center in the Pemalang Regency area in July 2018, out of 5 maternity mothers, 3 of them experienced moderate anxiety and 1 experienced mild anxiety. Mozart's music therapy is a classical music distraction technique that has a soft tone. These tones stimulate alpha waves which give the effect of calm, comfort, tranquility and provide energy to cover, distract and release tension and pain. Objective: To determine the effect of Mozart's music therapy on maternal anxiety during the first stage of the active phase. Methods: The method used in writing the case study is a library study and Holistic Midwifery Care. The instruments used were development notes using Subjective, Objective, Data Analysis, and Management (SOAP) and the HRS-A questionnaire to assess the level of anxiety. Results: Mozart's music therapy intervention was given to Mrs. R G2P1A0 during Phase 1 of Active Phase with moderate anxiety (score 23) after being given an intervention, the level of anxiety became mild (score 19). Conclusion: Mozart's music therapy intervention has been shown to have an effect on reducing anxiety levels.

Abstract

Background: BBLR cases are often associated with prematurity as the cause. There are many forms of intervention in handling BBLR babies, one of which is providing intervention aimed at optimizing the baby's growth and development, one of which is providing additional stimulation which includes touch and massage. Purpose: Analyze the differences in giving massage treatment to BBLR babies. Method: Quasi experimental research design, one-group pretest posttest design. The population in this study was BBLR at Permata Bunda Hospital. The total sample was 12 respondents using the total sampling technique. Results: The results of the research show that the p value is 0.000 < α 0.05, which indicates that Ho is rejected, which means significant weight gain before and after baby massage. Conclusion: The results of the baby massage treatment showed that there was a significant increase in body weight before and after the baby massage.

Abstract

Background; Labor pain is a process of protection from the mother's body to notify her of danger signs and will increase sympathetic nerve activity, then cause changes in heart rate pressure, breathing problems, muscle tension and stress. Handling to treat labor pain in pharmacology is in the form of analgesic drugs, while non-pharmacological treatments such as messages, use of birthing balls, touch, relaxation, warm compresses and cold compresses use of arromatherapy, breathing control, positioning, music therapy, hypnotherapy, and acupuncture. The research objective was to determine the effect of the birthing ball on the pain of the first stage of labor in primiparous women. Methodology; This type of quantitative research with quasi-experimental and research design using two group pretest posttest design. Population All primiparous pregnant women in February-April at the end of the month were 54 mothers giving birth. The sample consists of 14 samples for each control and treatment group from the calculation of the Lameshow formula. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney Test. Results; The level of labor pain in the treatment group who was given the birthing ball at BPM Amalia Temon Village in 2022 was mostly controlled by 12 respondents (85.7%) of severe pain and after being given the birthing ball the most moderate pain was 8 respondents (57.1%) and mild pain 6 respondents (42.9%). The level of labor pain in the control group who was not given the birthing ball at BPM Amalia Temon Village in 2022 was mostly controlled by 12 respondents (85.7%) of severe pain and after being given the birthing ball the most moderate pain was 10 respondents (71.4%) ). Conclusion; There was an effect of the birthing ball on the first stage of labor pain in primiparous women at BPM Amalia Temon Village (p=0.000)

Abstract

Background: Anxiety in third trimester pregnant women (TM III) is common and linked to negative maternal outcomes. As delivery approaches, anxiety levels increase, particularly regarding labor readiness. Hypnobirthing is a non-pharmacological relaxation technique that has been proven effective in reducing anxiety in preparation for childbirth. Purpose: To determine the effect of hypnobirthing on anxiety levels in third trimester pregnant women in preparation for childbirth at the Sahabat Bumil Clinic. Method: Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest approach. Total sampling of 25 TM III pregnant women (January–June 2024). Anxiety measured using Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Data analyzed using paired sample t-test. Results: Prior to intervention, 60.0% of respondents experienced moderate anxiety, 12.0% severe, and 8.0% very severe anxiety in facing delivery. Post-intervention, 64.0% had mild anxiety and 12.0% were anxiety-free. Paired t-test showed P value = 0.004 (<0.05), mean anxiety score decreased from 2.84 (SD=0.746) to 2.32 (SD=0.476). Conclusion: Hypnobirthing significantly reduces anxiety levels in TM III pregnant women in preparation for childbirth. It is recommended as a non-pharmacological evidence-based intervention in antenatal midwifery care.
