Abstract

Heavy metals are defined as the transition elements that have a high atomic mass, are toxic, and cannot be broken down by living organisms. Metal Lead (Pb) is one of the heavy metals which are widely distributed in the environment. Heavy metal lead is one of the causes of serious health problems because it can cause disturbances to the human body. Therefore, the aim of this literature review is to present an illustration and up-to-date data on the analytical methods used for food and beverages contaminated with lead heavy metal (Pb). The methodology of this research is a literature review study from several databases such as Science Direct, Pubmed, and Google Scholar with a limitation of publication in the last 10 years. The results of a literature review from the analysis of Pb metal contamination in food and beverages, there are several techniques that can be utilized to analyze and various factors that cause the amount of lead (Pb) levels such as the atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) method.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus can be treat with pharmacological therapy in the form of oral drug administration. This step has side effects in the form of adverse drug reactions. ADR adapts various factors that can influence the patient to adverse reactions.The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of incidence of ADR in outpatients with type II diabetes mellitus. This research method is a literature study method searched through PubMed, Google Scholar, and Research Gate using the keywords pharmacovigilance, diabetes mellitus, and adverse drug reaction (ADR). The criteria for articles used were publish in the last 10 years, namely 2012 to 2022, the journal has a title and content that is in accordance with the research objectives. The occurrence of ADR was influence by the gender and type of drug taken. This is in accordance with the research. Oral hypoglycemic drugs that were suspect to be the cause of the onset of ADRs are metformin causing nausea effects and acarbose causing flatulence effects. The use of the Naranjo algorithm is indispensable for assessing the severity of the ADR. Keywords: Farmakovigilans., Diabetes Melitus, ADR

Abstract

Tumbuhan merupakan keanekaragaman hayati yang selalu ada di sekitar kita baik secara liar maupun dibudidayakan. Tumbuhan memiliki dua kelompok senyawa metabolit yakni metabolit primer dan metabolit sekunder. Metabolit sekunder berfungsi dalam perkembangbiakan dan pertahanan tumbuhan. Salah satu contoh metabolit sekunder adalah flavonoid. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi metode yang tepat dalam mengisolasi flavonoid pada tumbuhan di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan yaitu tinjauan literatur dengan teori-teori yang relevan. Hasil dari tinjauan lima tumbuhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa isolasi senyawa flavonoid dilakukan dalam lima tahap yaitu ekstraksi, fraksinasi, skrining, pemisahan dan pemurnian, serta identifikasi isolat.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) ialah penyakit dengan kerusakan pada sistem kekebalan tubuh, terutama dalam imunitas seluler dan humoral. SLE terjadi pada individu dengan predisposisi genetik, terutama pada gen HLA yang dipicu oleh faktor lingkungan. Pada kebanyakan kasus, SLE muncul akibat efek dari banyak varian gen. Ada banyak golongan obat yang biasa digunakan untuk pengobatan SLE seperti kortikosteroid, imunosupresan, NSAID, atau antibodi monoklonal spesifik yang diarahkan terhadap reseptor permukaan sel atau sitokin  Tujuan: memberikan gambaran dan informasi terkini tentang kandidat obat baru dan target kerja obat penyakit lupus. Metode: studi tinjauan pustaka dari Google Scholar, Science Direct, dan PubMed dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil target kerja obat tersebut melalui tiga jenis penelitian berupa in vivo, in vitro, dan in silico. Berdasarkan tinjauan pustaka yang sudah dilakukan, terdapat beberapa target kerja obat pada penyakit lupus/SLE yaitu reseptor PI3Kδ, Enzim NF-κB inducing kinase, IFN-γ, IL-3, TNF-α, TP53, VEGFA, IL6, CD4, CCR1, JAK2, XRCC5, XRCC6, RB1, MYC, TP53, IL-1 alpha, IL-5, IL-6, IL-17, Limfotoxin-alpha, IL-21, TLR7, TLR9, CAPS3, STAT3, STAT1, IFNα, FcγR2A, CD22, CD20. Lalu untuk hasil beberapa kandidat obat baru terdapat pada ekstrak daun Bryophyllum pinnatum, curcumin, Langchuangding, Hedyotis diffusa Willd, dan BIIB059. Semua target atau kandidat senyawa pengobatan lupus yang diteliti memiliki hasil yang baik untuk pengobatan lupus. Kata Kunci : Kandidat Obat Baru, Target Kerja Obat, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
