Abstract

: Multidimensional crisis at our country is based on value (akhlak) crisis that emerge from lack of spiritual intelligence. To solve this complex problem, we need spiritual quotient development that based on lofty values namely iman, Islam, and ikhsan principle, so that we can optimize emotional quotient and intellectual quotient all at once.

Abstract

This study attempts to demonstrate the language acquisition theory, which says humans are natural learners who can learn by habituation. There is a song called Kun Fayakun, which has the same tune as Maroon 5's popular song Memories. This study examines the effectiveness of teaching Arabic simultaneously with English using that song for students. Sixty-four first-year UIN Salatiga students from Indonesia's various regions were requested to sing it in two versions, analyze the lyrics in two languages (Arabic and English), and map new vocabulary learned from the song. This study's data analysis will utilize a qualitative descriptive method based on experiment outcomes. Even though the respondents' initial English and Arabic abilities were rudimentary, with an average score of 6.5 out of 10, they stated that this multilingual popular song-based experiment provided them with a lot of information and new terminology in a pleasant and challenging way. These findings show that studying Arabic and English through popular song media can be a successful and entertaining technique for students.

Abstract

Kurikulum yang digunakan dalam pondok pesantren tidak hanya mengacu pada pengertian kurikulum sebagai materi semata, melainkan jauh lebih luas dari itu, yakni menyangkut keseluruhan pengalaman belajar santri yang masih berada dalam lingkup koordinasi pondok pesantren. Pesantren Sunan Muria Darul Falah Baradatu adalah salah satu pondok pesantren dalam sistem pendidikannya memiliki muatan pendidikan agama dan pendidikan umum. Namun demikian sistem pendidikan yang dikembangkan pesantren itu adalah mengikuti kurikulum Kementerian Agama sebagaimana lembaga pendidikan madrasah pada umumnya. Di samping itu, kurikulum yang dikembangkan pesantren Sunan Muria Darul Falah juga memiliki muatan ke arah pembentukan akhlak santri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tujuan kurikulum, materi kurikulum, dan evaluasi kurikulum dalam pembentukan akhlak santri di Pesantren Sunan Muria Darul Falah Baradatu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus pada penyelenggaraan pendidikan di Pesantren Sunan Muria Darul Falah Baradatu. Peneliti sebagai instrumen utama, dengan teknik pengumpul data melalui wawancara mendalam (dengan komponen pimpinan pengasuh pesantren, pengurus, ustadz, dan santri), observasi dan studi dokumen. seluruh data tersebut dianalisis dengan model interaktif dengan alur: pencatatan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, analisis data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: Pertama, tujuan kurikulum pesantren dalam membentuk akhlak santri dilaksanakan melalui dua tujuan, yaitu tujuan khusus dan umum. Tujuan khususnya adalah mempersiapkan para santri untuk menjadi orang yang alim dalam ilmu agama yang diajarkan oleh kyai yang bersangkutan serta mengamalkannya dalam masyarakat dan berpedoman pada Al- Qur‟an & Hadist. Sedangkan tujuan umumnya adalah membimbing santri untuk menjadi manusia yang berkepribadian Islam yang sanggup dengan ilmu agamanya menjadi muslim yang berakhlak mulia dalam masyarakat melalui ilmu dan amalnya. Kedua, materi kurikulum pendidikan pesantren yang membuat pembentukan akhlak di antaranya adalah (1) Ta‟lim Muta‟alim karya syekh Zarnuji, (2) Adabul Alim wal Muta‟alim karya K.H. Hasyim Asy‟ari, (3) Washoya lil al aba karya Syekh Ahmad Subakir, (4) Aklak lil banin wal banat karya ahmad barja, (5) Ihya Ulumuddin karya Imam al-Ghazali. Dan ketiga, evaluasi pembelajaran dalam rangka pembentukan akhlak santri antara lain berupa ujian lisan yang dilakukan oleh kiai dan ustadz kepada santri setiap selesai pembelajaran satu bab pada kitab yang dipelajari. Bentuk evaluasi lisan ini dilakukan guna melatih berbicara dan mengemukakan pendapat agar terbiasa.

Abstract

Most studies discussed puns in a single language or in a code-switching, which can be understood in the language. This study analyzed different puns, in which the readers can only understand the intention of humour in a different language. It aims to determine the types of bilingual puns, the forms and how to interpret them. It is a qualitative study, and the data were obtained through field and virtual observation. This study found two different types of bilingual puns: English-Indonesian puns (EIPs) and English-Javanese language puns (EJLPs). The puns were written in English but the meaning can only be understood in Bahasa Indonesia or Javanese language. The analysis also showed EIPs and EJLPs are bilingual puns comprising colloquial languages of Indonesian people rewritten in English. Syntactically, both are composed of ungrammatical English word orders with the syntactic forms reflected in Indonesian (BI) or Javanese (JL) languages. The interpretation processes involve word-to-word translation and sound pairing translations. The first technique typically involves: EIPs/EJLPs – word-to-word translation – ambiguity. The second way involves: EIPs/EJLPs – sound pairing translation – sound ambiguity/similarity.
